ABSTRACT

Introduction : This is a research innovation that aims to provide an additional therapeutic tool. It will open up a vast panorama of regenerative medicine by application of Adipose Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells (ADMSCs). ADMSCs are selected since a large amount is available for lipoaspiration and a larger percentage (30%) of Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) obtainable there from. The applications in clinical practice extend across Mesoderm, Endoderm and Ectoderm layers1. Material and Methods : There are three products that can be derived from the lipoaspirate. They are (1) Stromal Vascular Fraction (SVF), (2) Islet Cell Aggregates (ICAs) Translated from ADMSCs, (3) and ADMSCs with ~95% purity. They are deployed to illustrate the safety and efficacy in clinical trials for (1) Mesoderm Translation as in Osteoarthritis Knee, (2) Endoderm translation to Insulin-producing Cells as applicable to diabetes, and (3) Ectodermal Translation as applicable on Non-healing Indolent Ulcers on the Skin. Results : All three products are found safe with no adverse side effects. Proof of concept studies along with initial clinical trials for Osteoarthritis, Diabetes Types I and II, and Non-healing ulcer of any aetiology is demonstrated with objective evidence. Discussion : The evidence based on the results of the clinical trials across all three Germinal Layers is cited along with literature support. Results are explained based on a plausible scientific hypothesis. Conclusion : The study enunciates that Autologous SVF and ADMSCs are in futuristic domain for conducting clinical trials across all the three Germinal Layers.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the clinical effect of SVF-gel transplantation combined with double eyelid operation for upper eyelid depression. Methods:From January 2018 to October 2019, the Cosmetic Surgery Department of Henan Plastic Surgery Hospital treated 58 famale patients with sunken single eyelid and double eyelid, they aged 24-53, and the average age was (35±7) years old. A total of 58 patients with sunken upper eyelid were divided into two groups: SVF-gel group (study group) and traditional autologous fat (Coleman fat) group (control group), 29 cases in each group. Before the operation, patients in the study group were injected with SVF-gel, while those in the control group were injected with Coleman fat. After filling the fat, the traditional double eyelid line was designed in both groups. Results:Three months after operation, the patients in the study group and the patients in the control group had same survival rate of fat filling: the satisfactory rate of fat filling and the effect of double eyelid were 93.10% and 89.66% in the study group, respectively, while 82.76% and 82.76% in the control group. In the control group, there were 4, 1 and 3 cases of gross appearance, tubercle and unevenness respectively, while in the study group, there were no postoperative complications.Conclusions:SVF-gel is superior to traditional structural fat in the double eyelid surgery of upper eyelid sunken type. The patients are satisfied with the surgery and the clinical effect is good.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy of SVF-gel and Coleman fat in facial volume filling. Methods:This investigation presents a retrospective study of facial fat transplantation in 186 patients (114 cases of SVF-gel transplantation and 72 cases of Coleman fat transplantation) from December 2018 to September 2020 in Shanghai Basilica Clinic. Patient satisfaction was evaluated with the satisfaction questionnaire and secondary operation rates were tallied. Results:Facial augmentation and contour were improved in all patients. The satisfaction rate among the patients in the SVF-gel group was 93.0%, while that among the patients in the Coleman fat transplantation group was only 56.9% (χ 2=8.694, P<0.05). Patients in the SVF-gel group experienced less swelling and there was a lower secondary operation rate in the SVF-gel group than those in the Coleman fat transplantation group (1.75% vs 18.1%) (χ 2=13.467, P<0.001). Conclusions:SVF-gel has obvious advantages over traditional fat transplantation in facial volume filling and rejuvenation.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To introduce the SVF-gel as a filling, and the application of SVF-gel for the treatment of horizontal neck wrinkles.@*Methods@#This investigation presented a retrospective study of 30 patients (age ranged from 25 to 56 years, with mean 36 years) in Guangzhou Eye-Nose-Fat Cosmetic Plastic Clinic from December 2017 to June 2019. We used the SVF-gel injection for horizontal neck wrinkles for the patients. The effectiveness was observed 1 to 6 months later.@*Results@#No serious complications occurred in all patients. Postoperative evaluation of horizontal neck wrinkles showed that the swelling time lasted for 1-3 days, and the satisfactory rate of the doctors and patients after one month was 83.33% and 86.67%, and that after 6 months was 86.67 % and 83.33%, respectively.@*Conclusions@#SVF-gel is an effective treatment for horizontal neck wrinkles.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To discuss the effect of high-density fat-binding SVF-GEL in female facial lipofilling.@*Methods@#This is a retrospective study including 32 female patients, received facial fat transplantation during June 2017 to June 2018 in Yichun College. Each patient underwent high-density fat-binding SVF-GEL transplantation for facial surgery. Patients′satisfaction with the surgery and the rate of secondary surgery was evaluated. Fat was harvested from the inner thigh, centrifuged at 1200 g for 3 min, and the liquid was removed. The upper 2/3 part is prepared for SVF-GEL, for further used in delicate lipofilling in eyelid, tear groove and nasolabial groove. The lower 1/3 high density fat was used for volume restoration, such as forehead, temporal area and cheek.@*Results@#All patients had significant improvements in facial contours with mild swelling and short recovery time. The satisfaction rate was 68.8%(22/32), and the second operation rate was 15.6%(5/32).@*Conclusions@#High-density fat-binding SVF-GEL transplantation can achieve good results in correcting facial volume loss.

ABSTRACT

Autologous adipose tissue is the most common filling material for repairing soft tissue defects at present. There are many studies on the efficacy and safety of autologous fat transplantation, and the results highly varies. For helping the doctors select the best practices for patients and beauty-seekers, the following aspects of the research progress of autologous fat grafting in recent years are discussed: functional anatomy of the superficial fat compartments of the face, nano-fat injected in dermis by micro-needle, SVF-gel and matching the donor fat site and the recipient environment of autologous fat grafts for better postoperative outcomes and safety.

ABSTRACT

Street vended food (SVF) includes food and beverages prepared and sold outdoors or in public areas by street merchants for consumption on the scene or later without further preparation. Due to its low price and convenience, SVF has been popular in Korea for a long time, particularly with high school students. Beyond Korea, SVF is also popular in southeast Asia and southern Africa in the form of ready-to-eat food. This study on high school students, who are main consumers of SVF in Korea, focused on the factors that affect consumer loyalty. The study was performed by questionnaire and used AMOS software to develop a structural equation model. The results of verifying the model's fidelity were chi2 = 685.989, df = 261, GFI = 0.851, AGFI = 0.814, NFI = 0.901, CFI = 0.907, RMR = 0.048, indicating a satisfying structural model. SVF quality and service, emotional response, and the physical environment had a statistically significant effect on consumer loyalty. In contrast, SVF sanitation had no statistically significant effect on consumer loyalty. Based on these results, the sanitary management of SVF needs to be addressed immediately combined with education for SVF providers to maintain a clean environment.
