ABSTRACT
El Simposio de Salubristas del Caribe y las Américas presentó 3 ediciones (2017, 2018 y 2019) y estuvo auspiciado por la Sociedad Cubana de Salud Pública, el Capítulo Provincial de Salud Pública, la Dirección Provincial de Salud, la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas, el Consejo Provincial de Sociedades Científicas de la Salud, el Policlínico Docente Camilo Torres Restrepo, así como la Asociación Nacional de Economistas y Contadores. Conjuntamente con este evento se desarrollaron los talleres de ética y valores y de Economía de la Salud. En la tercera edición se celebró también la Jornada de residentes en Medicina General Integral. Se intercambiaron experiencias, que en el marco de la proyección salubrista, han tenido impacto en las esferas económica, social y científica. Por su importancia y acuerdo de los presentes, las conclusiones tomadas en sesión plenaria fueron enviadas a los decisores provinciales para contribuir a mejorar la calidad de los procesos atencionales, docentes e investigativos.
The Caribbean and America Public Health Symposium presented 3 editions (2017, 2018 and 2019) and was sponsored by the Cuban Society of Public Health, the Provincial Chapter of Public Health, Health Provincial Management, the University of Medical Sciences, the Provincial Council of Health Scientific Societies, Camilo Torres Restrepo Teaching Polyclinic, as well as the National Association of Economists and Accountants. Along with this event Ethics and Values and Health Economy workshops were developed. In the third edition the Day of residents in Comprehensive General Medicine also took place. Experiences were exchanged that in the mark of the public health projection, have had impact in the economic, social and scientific spheres. Due to its importance and agreement of the present people, the conclusions taken in plenary session were sent to the provincial decision makers to contribute in the improvement of quality in the care giving, teaching and investigative processes.
ABSTRACT
La temática de las drogas ilegales es un asunto amplio. Sus diversas aristas son motivo de constante debate en nuestra sociedad. Sin embargo, el debate presenta una carencia de enfoques sanitarios que al ser abordados podrían contribuir a mejorar la calidad de observaciones y propuestas para avanzar. Como una forma de aproximarse al riesgo de consumir drogas ilícitas, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica respecto a letalidad asociada a su consumo. Se estudiaron los artículos y se obtuvieron medidas de frecuencia de las diversas drogas. Además, se analizaron las muertes y clasificaron en dos grupos: por un lado, en las que se empleó buscando los efectos propios de estas sustancias y al riesgo inherente a su consumo; y por otro, en las que se lograba identificar alguna condición anexa evidente. De acuerdo a esta revisión, se puede concluir que a partir de la muestra bibliográfica revisada, un importante número de muertes se podrían haber evitado. El presente documento, aporta observaciones y referencias bibliográficas que entregan luz al debate en torno a las contribuciones que el enfoque salubrista le puede dar al consumo y presencia de drogas.
The issue of illegal drugs is a broad topic. Their various edges are constantly being debated in our society. However, the debate has a lack of broader sanitary approaches that could contribute to improving the quality of observations and proposals in order to move forward. As a way of approaching the risk of using illicit drugs, the present document offers a literature review of the concerning lethality associated risks with drug use. A selection of articles were studied and frequency regarding use and causes of various drugs were obtained. In addition, deaths were analyzed and classified into two groups: on the one hand, based on the effects of these substances and the risk inherent in their consumption; and on the other, based on related conditions and causes. According to the executed review, it can be concluded that from the sample bibliographic peer-review, an important number of deaths could have been avoided. The present document, delivered remarks and bibliographic references shedding light to the debate around the contributions that the bioethical approach can give the consumption and the presence of drugs.
