ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effects of practice teaching based on Gagne's teaching theory combined with scene teaching method on core competency of nursing students in department of respiratory and critical care medicine. Methods:A total of 42 nursing students from the Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine Department of Beijing Jishuitan Hospital were enrolled and divided into observation group (21 cases) and control group (21 cases) using a random number table. Traditional teaching method was used in the control group, while Gagne's teaching theory combined with scene teaching method was used for teaching the observation group. After teaching, theoretical knowledge and actual operation ability of nursing students were assessed. The core competency of nursing students was evaluated by core competency assessment scale. The independent learning ability of nursing students was evaluated using an assessment tool. The self-evaluation of teaching effect in the two groups was compared. The t test or chi-square test was performed in SPSS 22.0. Results:The scores of theoretical knowledge and actual operation ability in the observation group were (88.10±7.52) and (90.81±4.88), respectively. These scores were significantly higher than those in the control group [(83.62±6.58) and (72.57±8.94), t=2.06, 8.21, P<0.05]. The scores of core competency and independent learning ability were significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group [(185.53±20.19) and (129.09±16.14) vs. (170.52±20.32) and (105.86±12.23), t=2.40, 5.10, P<0.05]. The score of self-evaluation on teaching effect was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group [28 (25, 29) vs. 21 (20, 22), Z=5.39, P<0.05]. Conclusion:Gagne's teaching theory combined with scene teaching method in practice teaching of nursing students in the department of respiratory and critical care medicine should be promoted because this combined method improves the mastery of theoretical knowledge and actual operation skills, the independent learning ability and core competency of nursing students, and the effect of nursing teaching.

ABSTRACT

This article aims to present the methodological construction developed in a master's research, in which the writing of scenes as a method of clinical listening research was endorsed. The scenes from the study in question were collected over time, from the experience gained in a project conducted within a university extension program on care in childhood and adolescence in social vulnerability, in a peripheral community. In this study, we present some questions that were elaborated surrounding the choices of working with scenes; and we share the historical rescue of this work as a method of writing on clinic practices and resuming their analysis from the psychoanalytic tradition. Based on the psychoanalytic theory and on the readings and contributions of the French philosopher Jacques Derrida, we corroborate the notion that the scene is constituted as a place of production, engendering the particular configuration of significant elements in the processes of subjectivation and social construction. Here, the scene is not a representation of clinical practice but one mode of producing listening and its research processes.(AU)

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES@#To retrospectively analyze homicide cases of death after injection and provide reference for forensic identification.@*METHODS@#Six homicide cases of death after injection which were investigated by the Criminal Investigation Team of Shanghai Public Security Bureau were collected and analyzed, including case situation, scene investigation, autopsy and other materials.@*RESULTS@#The 6 cases were premeditated crimes, 5 cases took place in private spaces, and 5 cases involved the victims approached by suspects' decoy. There were no obvious abnormalities at the scene of the 6 cases. In 6 cases, the victim's body surface injury was mild or no, lividity color was abnormal, and the needlestick injury showed different manifestations from conventional medical measures.@*CONCLUSIONS@#Death after injection is a highly concealed crime and easy to be ignored. For the suspected injection injury found in autopsy, it is necessary to carefully examine, identify and analyze, be alert to the situation of injecting poison (drug) and do a good job in evidence fixation and material extraction.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVES@#To explore the influencing factors of the horizontal distance of bodies in the high falling scene and the feasibility of inferring the falling mode based on it.@*METHODS@#A total of 614 high falling deaths and 15 cases of corpse dumping from high altitudes were collected. The relationship between the horizontal distance and the falling height, as well as the sex, age and manner of death (suicide, accident and corpse dumping) were observed.@*RESULTS@#The horizontal distance increased with the increase of falling height, and the difference among the height groups was statistically significant. The horizontal distance decreased with the increase of the age of the deceased, in each height group, the difference between the group over 60 years old and other age groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The horizontal distance of male deceased was (1.99±0.27) m, which was greater than that of female deceased (1.88±0.19) m, and the difference was statistically significant in partial height groups (P<0.05). Roof falls had a greater horizontal movement distance than window falls. Except for the >20-30 m group, there was no significant difference in horizontal distance between suicide high falls and accidental high falls in other height groups.@*CONCLUSIONS@#The horizontal distance is affected by the falling height, the sex and age of the victim, and the spatial characteristics of the falling starting point.

ABSTRACT

Scene perception research is a scientific community effort to overcome difficulties presented to the study of complex stimuli. Consistent findings support feasibility of the theme and encourage a more holistic and integrated approach to visual perception research. This effort and its findings are, however, poorly known by readers in Portuguese language, even among experts interested in the subject. The purpose of this paper is to introduce this field of research, outline its development, identify its main issues and demonstrate its relevance and importance. This task was accomplished by a selective review of papers from authors who built the foundations of scene perception. Upon completion of the reading, it is expected that the reader understands the relevant role of mnemonic processes and of the observer in the process of visual capture of natural environments.

ABSTRACT

Faced with the challenges set before the psychoanalytic practice in the context of the current pandemic, one of the most pronounced concerns communication. Mediation of sessions by means of technical media has become ubiquitous. This paper proposes a dialogue between psychoanalysis and the theory of the materialities of communication in order to outline a media-psychoanalytic look over some of these challenges, which also include renewed theoretical discussions. After a brief overview of the theses of some prominent authors in the field of materialities (McLuhan, Flusser, Kittler), we try to frame the rediscussion based on the idea that the meaning of communication always emerges within the core of a specific material agency of some seminal theoretical points of the psychoanalytic theory, especially the concepts of setting and analytical scene. Initial threads are thus established for a debate that is already fruitful between psychoanalysis and the theories of communication that denaturalize the relationship between man and technique

ABSTRACT

From Laplanche's and Winnicott's psychoanalytic theories of aggressiveness, it was aimed to analyse the aggressiveness of a teacher and its effects on the pedagogical scene, through a case study about an Early Childhood Education teacher. In a qualitative research, resorting data triangulation between observation, interview and focus group, it was taken, as an analytical unit, the pedagogical scene (defined as the set of interactions between teachers and students, and the intersubjective meanings os these interactions considering the ties involving these subjects). Teacher's aggressive conducts were found on the interactions with her students, leading to the hypotheses: teacher's subjective difficulty in dealing with her own aggressiveness interfered on her management of students' aggressiveness. Considering the teacher's subjectivity, her participation on a teachers' continued qualification, promoted during the research, enabled the awareness of new relational arrangements between her and the children, favouring the quality of her management.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT Objective: To evaluate autopsy findings in hypothermia-related deaths in Van Province, Turkey, a city near the Turkey-Iran border. Methods: Autopsy reports on 43 hypothermia fatalities were retrospectively reviewed. Data regarding age, gender, nationality of the cases, seasonality of the deaths, crime scene findings, autopsy findings, manner of deaths, risk factors for hypothermia, other traumatic lesions, and toxicology were obtained from autopsy records and scene investigation records. Results: There were 36 males and 7 females. The mean age was 20.5 years. More than half of the cases died or were found dead in the spring months. All but one of the cases was found dead outdoors. There were common red-coloured livor mortis in 33 cases (76.7%), antemortem traumas in 16 cases (37.2%), cold erythema in 26 cases (60.5%), myxedema in 1 case, bloody discolouration in the synovial fluid in 11 (84.6%) cases, and Wischnewski spots in 32 cases (74.4%). Conclusion: The study showed that illegal refugees are an important social problem in Turkey. Hypothermia should be considered as a cause of death for refugees when they are found, especially in the cold provinces. In the diagnosis of hypothermia, bloody discolouration of the synovial fluid is confirmed to be a valuable finding. Wischnewski spots remain valuable for positive identification.

ABSTRACT

Brain-computer interface (BCI) can be summarized as a system that uses online brain information to realize communication between brain and computer. BCI has experienced nearly half a century of development, although it now has a high degree of awareness in the public, but the application of BCI in the actual scene is still very limited. This collection invited some BCI teams in China to report their efforts to promote BCI from laboratory to real scene. This paper summarizes the main contents of the invited papers, and looks forward to the future of BCI.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the effects of DNA examination of trace bloodstain samples from the scene collected with Trace Biological Evidence Collection kit. Methods Venous blood was made into bloodstains on the ground. The trace bloodstain samples were collected with Trace Biological Evidence Collection kit and common methods, respectively. DNA examination of trace bloodstain samples (50 from each group) was conducted on the constant temperature shaker for 2, 24, 48, 72, and 96 h, respectively, and the examination results of every group were compared. Results When the trace bloodstain samples were placed on the constant temperature shaker for 24, 48, 72, and 96 h, the DNA detection rates in the group which used Trace Biological Evidence Collection kit (100.00%, 100.00%, 100.00%, 96.00%) were significantly higher than those in the group using common methods (62.00%, 26.00%, 10.00%, 0), the differences had statistical significance (P<0.05). When the trace bloodstain samples were placed on the constant temperature shaker for 2 h, the differences of DNA detection rates between the two groups had no statistical significance ( P>0.05). Conclusion The Trace Biological Evidence Collection kit can effectively improve DNA detection rate and extend detection time limit for trace bloodstain samples from the scene that have been stored for a relatively long time.

ABSTRACT

In sexual addiction, the performance of the sexual act imposes itself on the subject compulsively. Sexuality loses much of its potential of fantasy, starting to serve as the engine of an excessive and destructive search for pleasure that does not include the possibility of libidinal bond with the other. This article, based on psychoanalytical knowledge, aims at exploring the role of the Oedipus complex in the determinations of the clinical situation in question, a theoretical aspect of fundamental importance for understanding the impasses that interfere with the sex addict relationship with his/her partners and with his/her own sexuality. The oedipal problem is not reduced to the classic Freudian description of the Oedipus complex, but it encompasses a series of conditions and circumstances that precede the infant's entry into this stage, the construction of the primal scene being the decisive factor that will enable or not the entrance of the subject into an effective triangulation system. We will therefore devote particular attention to the original aspect of the Oedipus, which has its essential nucleus in the construction of the primal scene. This axis of work will ultimately lead us to reflect on sexual addiction in its most radical and extreme manifestations, where the increasing adherence to risky situations by the sex addict becomes paradigmatic of a limitless and dangerous search that, in its deepest sense, reveals certain contingencies of a tumultuous relational history.

ABSTRACT

With the standardized training of resident doctors, the importance of clinical practice becomes more and more important. As the key department of clinical practice, the gynecology department of traditional Chinese medicine pays more attention to the training of clinical thinking. The implementation of scene reproduction mode combined with case discussion mode in clinical practice teaching of TCM postgraduates has improved the quality of clinical training, strengthened the transformation of clinical knowledge, expanded the train of thought of scientific research, and achieves good education results.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the feasibility and effect of scene simulation combined with multiple-station mini-CEX evaluation used for the teaching of standardized training of emergency medicine. Methods Sixty standard-trained doctors were randomly(random number) divided into two groups. Thirty standard-trained doctors in team A were taught using the traditional teaching modality of emergency medicine, and the rest in team B were trained using the method of scene simulation combined with multiple-station mini-CEX evaluation. At the end of standardized training, comparisons of the examination results of mini-CEX evaluation and the satisfaction of standard-trained doctors with the teaching mode were done between two groups. Results The scores of team B on medical interviewing skills, clinical judgment, counseling skills, proper presentation/efficiency and overall clinical competence were significantly higher than those of team A[(7.26±0.36),(7.63±0.39),(7.22±0.34),(7.26±0.45), (7.75±0.24) vs. (6.81±0.42),(7.24±0.39),(6.90±0.44),(6.97±0.50),(7.21±0.32)],while there were no significant differences in scores on physical examination skills and humanistic qualities/professionalism between two teams [(7.60±0.36),(7.92±0.35) vs. (7.42±0.30),(7.98±0.32)]. The satisfaction with the mini-CEX evaluation of both teachers and standard-trained doctors in team B were significantly higher than those in team A [(7.40±0.30), (7.46±0.28) vs. (7.06±0.38), (6.91±0.38)]. The satisfaction of standard-trained doctors in team B with the teaching mode and teaching effect were significantly higher than those in team A[(8.17±0.78),(8.59±0.66) (6.67±0.73), (6.80±0.72)]. Conclusions The scene simulation combined with multiple-station mini-CEX evaluation used for the teaching of standardized training of emergency medicine may improve some of the clinical skills of standard-trained doctors, and thus this teaching reform was feasible.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the application effect of PBL combined CBL and scene simulation teaching method in pediatrics communication course. Methods 53 students from Peking Union Medical College were selected, 26 students received regular PBL teaching method as the control group, another 27 students received PBL combined with CBL and scene simulation teaching method as the observation group. Score assessment, related knowledge, classroom teaching effect and learning promotion among the two groups were compared. Results Students in the observation group had a higher assessment score, related knowledge in pediatrics score, teaching effect score and learning promotion score (P<0.001). Conclusions PBL combined with CBL and scene simulation teaching method can optimize the learning at-mosphere in pediatrics, improve communication skills between medical students and children as well as family members, and improve learning outcomes.
