ABSTRACT

RESUMEN El presente trabajo muestra el desarrollo que ha tenido la formación de profesionales nucleares en Cuba durante más de treinta y ocho años. Se exponen las características principales de los programas de estudio de las carreras nucleares acreditadas por el sistema nacional de acreditación de la educación superior cubana. Algunos indicadores de la calidad de la formación en ingeniería nuclear, física nuclear y radioquímica, la presencia de la mujer, así como, la contribución de estas carreras al desarrollo de la provincia La Habana a partir de un análisis de la ubicación de sus egresados son presentados.


ABSTRACT This work shows the development that has taken the education of nuclear professionals in Cuba for more than thirty-eight years. The main features of the curriculum for undergraduate specialty for nuclear matters, accredited by the national accreditation system of higher education in Cuba are introduced. Some quality indicators, the women presence and the contribution of the nuclear careers to the development of Havana province beginning from the analysis of graduated distribution in the labor market are discussed.

ABSTRACT

En los marcos de la celebración del 35 aniversario del Instituto Superior de Tecnología y Ciencias Aplicadas se presenta una síntesis de los principales resultados de este centro, que incluye la preparación de profesionales, así como sus actividades de posgrado, investigación y extensión universitaria, con énfasis en los años más recientes. Al final del trabajo se describen las perspectivas de la institución en correspondencia con la estrategia trazada para la educación superior cubana.


Within the framework of conmemorating the 35th anniversary of the Higher Institute of Technology and Applied Sciences a synthesis of the main results of this center is presented. This includes the academic preparation of professionals, as well as their postgraduate, research and university extension courses and activities, with emphasis on the most recent years. At the end of the paper the perspectives of the institution are described in correspondence with the strategy outlined for the cuban higher education.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the application of partial least square regression model in the study of personality characteristics of the scientific personne1,to supply more reliable and scientific rationale to the training and intelligent use of scientific personne1 in colleges.Methods We took our survey by 114 scientific personnel from eight universities with NEO-PI-R(Revised NEO Personality Inventory).After the process of simplifying the NEO-PI-R,we need partial least square regression model to analyze.Results The results of the PLS analysis indicates the goodness-of-fit of the model was good,which opened out clearly and intuitively the connection between the items and five personality characteristics,the model could be used as theory reference for personnel department,research department and education department to consummate the training of scientific personne1 in colleges.Conclusion Partial least square regression model could be used to study personality characteristics of the scientific personne1 in colleges as statistic method appearing recently.
