ABSTRACT

Gene Engineering is a compulsory course for students majoring in biotechniques. Therefore, we have made innovative reforms to strengthen the "scientific thinking" elements in the course in all aspects of the course, such as content design, teaching strategies, inspection and evaluation methods on the teaching. Briefly, the contents are designed to reflect the scientific rules and thinking manners, and milestone findings and stories are mined thoroughly. During the teaching process, students are inspired and enlightened based on the history by scene reappearance to form the scientifc thinking. During the evaluation process, students are advocated to share their stories in gene engineering field and the underlying scientific thinking manners are taken into the assessment. With the teaching reform in the Gene Engineering course, the "scientific thinking" ability of the students has been significantly improved.

ABSTRACT

In addition, the concept of scientific research culture is proposed, from intentionality as a regularity of scientific thinking in the action mode of the conscious individual and developer of that essential category, a nucleus of transformative capacities that mediate scientific thinking and decision making in function of social demands.

ABSTRACT

National Teaching Contests of young teachers from medical colleges in China has been held for several years. Experiences obtained from participating and observing the contest have shown that the teaching ability and quality of young teachers have been dramatically improved over these years. But there are a few problems worthy of attention. First, up-to-date progress in scientific research should be intro-duced to the class in proper way. Applying the scientific material mechanically or overgeneralizing individual findings should be avoided in this process. Secondly, the teachers should strengthen the cultivation of criti-cal thinking and dialectical way of thinking, to enable students to use critical thinking, the integrated point of view to analyze and solve the problem. Thirdly, teaching should also focus on humanistic education, and through the infiltration of human content in the classroom, imperceptibly affect students. Finally, young teachers can give full play to their advantages of rapid learning and to use internet as a platform for the reform of teaching methods to promote the interaction between teachers and students, enriching their class-room.

At present, the teaching management department is facing a big puzzle in the education of medical professional postgraduate degree. How to strengthen the appropriate scientific research training while successfully completing the 33-months clinical rotation. With the social development and increasing demands, the original training model that training professional technical personnel and scientific academic personnel seperately has been confirmed unable to adapt to the current requirements. Combining with the practi-cal experience of the medical postgraduate degree education, we put forward some constructive suggestions of boosting the innovation of the medical postgraduate degree education from several aspects, such as optimizing the training process, strengthening the stage man-agement, improving the quality of the tutor team, smoothing the communication mechanism between teachers and students, cultivating clinical research thinking, etc.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research was to analyze the development of the hypothesis as a tool of scientific thinking, in learning contexts, among children between the ages of 4 and 8, from the educational levels of pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, transition, first and second grade. The sample was 44 children. A quasi-experimental design was used: pre-test, post-test with control group. During the pre-test, the initial state of the subjects was established regarding the level of development of their hypothesis. A qualitative analysis was performed on the production, formulation, reasoning, performances and arguments that make children when developing their hypothesis. The Wilcoxon ranges test was used to compare changes in the development of the hypothesis between the pre-test and post-test, obtaining a statistical significance of p<0.001 regarding the objective and the research hypothesis. It can be stated that the educational experiences in terms of problem solving, favor the development of the hypothesis as a tool of scientific thinking
