ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effect of self -made Dahuang paste on the prevention of postoperative constipation after lung cancer endoscopic surgery by pasting Shenque point and beating Tianshu point .Methods From January 2015 to April 2015,120 patients with lung cancer underwent thoracoscopic surgery in Zhejiang Cancer Hospital were selected and divided into study group and control group according to the principle of single and double numbers, with 60cases in each group. All patients were treated with intravenous analgesic pump after operation ,with 0.2mg fentanyl hydrochloride and 0.9%saline 100 mL.Dahuang paste was made by the hospital preparation center. The control group was treated with enema or cork ,the study group was given Dahuang massage. The effect on the prevention of postoperative constipation was compared. Results The total effective rate of postoperative prevention of constipation in the study group was 95.00%,which was significantly higher than 58.33%in the control group (χ2=22.547,P=0.000).Conclusion Dahuang paste has obvious effect on the prevention of postoperative constipation by pasting Shenque point and beating Tianshu point ,which is worthy of clinical promotion.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of acupoint application of Chinese medicine on preventing constipation after stroke. Methods By means of randomized, double-blind, controlled study design, 96 patients of yang-syndrome stroke were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 48 cases in each group. Both groups were given conventional treatment for stroke and routine nursing for preventing constipation, and additionally, the control group was given acupoint application of placebo while the observation group was given acupoint application of self-made umbilical paste of Radix et Rhizoma Rhei(Dahuang) and Natrii Sulfas (Mangxiao). The incidence of constipation, frequency of laxative usage and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed. Results (1) The incidence of constipation of the observation group was lower than the control group on treatment day 7 and 14 , the difference being statistical significant(P 0.05). The observation group had better effect on improving stool properties(P 0.05). The adverse reaction of both groups was mild, and had no effect on the accomplishment of the treatment. Conclusion Acupoint application of Chinese medicine is effective and safe on preventing constipation after stroke, showing good prospects for clinical application.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the prevention effect of Hubai powder applied on navel for nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy with cisplatin. Methods 97 patients who received chemotherapy with cisplatin (75mg/m2 )were randomly divided into observation group(n =49)and control group(n =48).In the control group, 30min before chemotherapy, the patients were treated with intravenous granisetron 3mg as antiemetic;Based on the control group, the observation group were treated with Hubai powder 10g applied on Shenque point in the night before the chemotherapy until the end of the next morning after chemotherapy. The curative effect of the two groups were observed. Results The acute vomiting rate of the observation group was 83.7%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(60.4%)(χ2 =5.423,P =0.019);The delayed vomiting rate of the observation group was 85.7%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(56.3%)(χ2 =8.867,P =0.003);The patient appetite of the observation group was obviously better than that of the control group,0 -Ⅰ degree occurrence rate of the two groups had statistical significance(χ2 =6.469,4.552,P =0.011,0.033);Ⅱ -Ⅲ degree occurrence rate of the two groups did't have statistical significance. Conclusion Hu Bai powder umbilicus can effectively prevent nausea and vomiting induced by chemotherapy with cisplatin.

ABSTRACT

Objective To probe the therapeutic effect of ginger-salt-partitioned moxibustion on urge incontinence after stroke. Methods 40 stroke patients following urge incontinence were randomly divided into control group (n=20) and experimental group (n=20). 2 groups all received the same treatment, routine acupuncture and rehabilitation. Additionally, the experimental group received ginger-salt-partitioned moxibustion at Shenque (CV8). The curative effect was compared after treatment (4 weeks). Results 36 cases finished the treatment, 17 in the control group and 19 in the experimental group. Total number of urination, urinary incontinence and nocturia reduced, and the average volume of each urine increased (P0.05). Conclusion The effect of ginger-salt-partitioned moxibustion at Shenque on poststroke following urination disorders is remarkable.

Results 36 cases finished the treatment, 17 in the control group and 19 in the experimental group. Total number of urination, urinary incontinence and nocturia reduced, and the average volume of each urine increased (P<0.05), and volume of bladder residual urine reduced in 2 groups after treatment (P<0.001), while the experimental group was better than the control group (P<0.05). The scores of modified Barthel Index increased in 2 groups after treatment, but there was no significant difference between 2 groups (P>0.05). Conclusion The effect of ginger-salt-partitioned moxibustion at Shenque on poststroke following urination disorders is remarkable.
