ABSTRACT
Em cada fase do desenvolvimento do indivíduo com deficiência surgem demandas e desafios diferentes às famílias e profissionais envolvidos nesta realidade. O presente estudo objetivou identificar, sob a ótica das famílias de crianças e adolescentes comautismo, as experiências cotidianas e suas demandas na realidade decuidados dispensados aos filhos em três fases do desenvolvimento. Participaram do estudo 20 famílias de crianças e adolescentes com diagnóstico de autismo. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: roteiros de entrevista semiestruturada e Ficha de Identificação. Dentre os principaisresultados foi verificado que o cotidiano das famílias participantes se organiza em torno do membro com autismo, suas necessidades e dificuldades, aspecto observado tanto no ambiente doméstico como na realização de atividades externas, em outros contextos sociais. Foram identificadas dificuldades comuns aos participantes nas atividades sociais, na comunicação, na dependência nas atividades de autocuidado e higiene. Conclui-se que o estudo atingiu os objetivos contribuindo para a ampliação do conhecimento na área, bem como fornecendo subsídios para futuras pesquisas, planejamento de ações e intervenções junto a esta população e para o planejamento de políticas públicas.
In each development phase of an individual suffering from a disability, different demands and challenges arise to the families and professionals involved in this reality. This study hasaimed on identifying, through the standpoint of the families of autisticinfants and teenagers, their daily experiences and demands in reality of the care given to their children during three development phases. Twenty families of infants and teenagers with autism diagnostics have participated of this study. The instruments used were: semi structured interview routines, and Identifi cation Form. Amongst the main results, there have been identified that the daily routine of the participantfamilies is organized according to the autistic family members, their needs, and their diffi culties. Such aspect has been observed within the domestic environment as well as in the external activities. Some of the identified difficulties are shared by all the participants, such as in socialactivities, in the communication, their dependency with their personalhygiene. In conclusion, this study have achieved its goals contributingfor enlarging the knowledge in this area, providing benefits for futureresearches, actions and interventions planning for this population, as well as supporting planning public policies.
