ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effect of sodium cantharidate vitamin B6 injections in the adjuvant treatment of advanced cer-vical cancers. Methods:Totally 60 cases of advanced cervical cancer patients were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, and the control group was given common DP chemotherapy and radiotherapy, while the observation group was given sodium cantharidate vitamin B6 injections additionally. After the 6-week treatment, the short-term curative effect, bone marrow inhibi-tion adverse reaction, immune function and life quality were compared between the two groups. Results:The short-term curative effect in the observation group was 66. 7%, which was significantly higher than that in the control group (40%)(P<0. 05). The degree of adverse reaction was significantly lower than that in the control group with statistical significance (P<0. 05). After the treatment, CD8 +, NK cells and CD8 + / CD4 + in the two groups were significantly improved, and those in the observation group were all better than those in the control group (P<0. 05). The improvement of life quality in the observation group was more notable than that in the control group with statistical significance (P <0.05). Conclusion: Sodium cantharidate vitamin B6 injections can significantly in-crease the short-term curative effect and immune function, decrease bone marrow inhibition and improve life quality of advanced cervi-cal cancer patients.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To explore the effects of sodium cantharidate on quality of life in advanced liver cancer patients. Methods 62 patientswith advanced liver cancer were divided into two groups: the control group (n=31) received 5-fluorouracil and cisplatinum chemotherapy, while the observation group (n=31) received sodium cantharidate 20 ml in addition. WHO Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumorswas used to assess the theraputical effect, Karnofsky Performance Status to the quality of life, and white blood cell count and plateletcount were to the toxicity of the treatment. Results The observation group had a higher partial remission and lower progressive disease thanthe control group (P<0.05) after the treatment. The quality of life for the observation group improved better than the control group (P<0.05).The white blood cell count and platelet count decreased less in the observation group than in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Sodi-um cantharidate may relief symptom, improve quality of life and reduce toxicity for the patients accepted chemotherapy for advanced livercancer.

ABSTRACT

Objective To compare the efficacy and toxicity of in patients with advanced colorectal cancer. Methods Seventy-six patients were enrolled in this study.38 patients(treatment group)received chemotherapy regimen of sodium cantharidate 0 3mg,CF 200mg/m 2, and 5-Fu 375mg/m 2 intravenous infusion from the first day to the tenth day. 38 patients(control group)received chemotherapy regimen of CF 200mg/m 2 and 5-Fu 375mg/m 2 intravenous infusion from the first day to the tenth day. ALL patients underwent two cycles of the therapy at least. Results The efficacy of the treatment group and control group was 39 5% and 18 4% respectively, which had a significant difference. The hematologic toxicities in the treatment group, especially leukopenia and anemia, were significantly than those in the control group less. Conlusion The results indicated that sodium cantharidate combined with 5-FU and CF treatment of colorectal cancer had moderate activity and less toxicity, further clinical investigation of which should be performed.
