ABSTRACT

In response to the national strategy of building first-class journals and filling the gaps in English journals on radiation medicine and protection, the Radiation Medicine and Protection (RMP) was founded. Within three years, it has entered domestic and international databases such as DOAJ, Scopus, CSCD, WJCI and Embase with its CiteScore ranking first in the discipline and WJCI index surpassing a variety of international authoritative radiation protection journals. Collaborating with KeAi and Elsevier successively, this open access publisher has gained a significant number of international citations to achieve international visibility. Owing to the influence of disciplinary characteristics, domestic evaluation systems, and international exchange situation, RMP is facing development bottlenecks. We hope to explore breakthrough measures from the aspects of expanding manuscript sources, strengthening academic exchanges, and attracting young experts to joining the editorial board.

ABSTRACT

Virtual simulation technology is an effective means to construct “real” environment and experimental conditions. We investigate the characteristics and operation strategies of polar special medical virtual simulation experiment based on “data restoration-scene simulation-platform simulation-experiment research” for special medical workers for special injury treatment under polar special environment by analyzing its technical advantages and application characteristics and by applying it to polar special medicine. This may provide new research ideas and technical methods for further exploring medical service under polar special environment.

ABSTRACT

To develop a portable medicine coffer for medical support in order to standardize the management of special medicine. The coffer with double-fingerprint cryptography and internal mechanical lock was com-posed of a body and a cap. The coffer had the body made of high-intensity plastics or light alloy, monitor made of high-intensity abrasion-resistant glass as well as rechargeable lithium battery. The coffer eliminated the deficiencies of traditional medicine chest. The portable coffer standardizes the management of special medicine for medical support.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for health service support at high altitude area. METHODS:375 servicemen who rapidly entered high altitude area were investigated by questionnaire in 2013 to investigate the compliance of using high alti-tude special medicines and incidence of mountain sickness and analyze its correlation. RESULTS:375 questionnaires were distribut-ed and 324 questionnaires were collected with effective response rate of 86.4%. The utilization rate of Multivitamin tablet,Skin cream and Lip balm for high altitude area were 30.9%,13.3% and 40.1% respectively. The compliance of using high altitude spe-cial medicines had effect on the incidence of related mountain sickness. The incidence of mountain sickness of people who followed the physician’s instructions was significantly lower than those who did not. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS:High altitude special medicines can relieve and prevent the mountain sickness. But the overall compliance of us-ing high altitude special medicines was not ideal. The education of high altitude special medicines should be strengthened, and dos-age forms and medicine instruction should be enhanced to improve its compliance and play better protective effect.

ABSTRACT

some specific requirements for the military medicines which are used for treatment of special weapon injury and harsh environment induced diseases, such as administrative routes, formulations, packages and period of validity. Research and development of new pharmaceutical technologies have become more and more important for meeting the requirement and improving the serviceability of such medicines. Auto-injection, fast-dissolving technology, sustained or controlled release technologies are widely used for the purpose. In this paper, based on the analysis of the specific requirements, the current progress of new pharmaceutical technologies and their application in special military medicines are reviewed.
