Resenha do livro "Processos midiáticos no campo esportivo" / Review of the book "Media processes in the sports field" / Reseña del libro "Procesos mediáticos en el campo deportivo"

O texto é uma resenha da obra de Gustavo Sanfelice, intitulada "Processos midiáticos no campo esportivo", publicada em 2018 pela Editora Appris. A obra está organizada em cinco capítulos, os quais procuram trazer a contextualização da pesquisa realizada, ou seja, compreender estratégias de construção midiática em relação à atleta brasileira de ginástica artística Daiane dos Santos. Em específico quanto às suas ações sociais (conquista de títulos anteriores às Olimpíadas/2004, máxima performance esportiva que a credenciaria a conquistar uma inédita medalha de ouro olímpica, elaboração de gestos técnicos próprios etc.) e a transformação dessas ações sociais em acontecimentos midiáticos, a partir de enquadramentos e mapas de significado, numa pesquisa realizada nos jornais Zero Hora (ZH) e Folha de São Paulo (FSP). Evidenciam-se resultados diferenciados na construção discursiva desses dois periódicos: uma cobertura mais local e emotiva (ZH), e uma cobertura mais nacional, pautada em elementos objetivos (FSP).

The text is a review of Gustavo Sanfelice's work, entitled "Media processes in the sports field", published in 2018 by Appris Publishing. His work is organized in five chapters, which seek to bring contextualization of the carried out research, that is, understanding the strategies of media construction in relation to the artistic gymnastics Brazilian athlete Daiane dos Santos. This is mainly due to her social actions (winning titles before the 2004 Olympic Games, maximum sporting performance that leads her to win an Olympic gold medal, elaboration of her own technical gestures, etc.) and the transformation of these social actions into media events, based on frameworks and meaning maps, in a research carried out in the Zero Hora (ZH) and Folha de São Paulo (FSP) newspapers. Different results are evidenced in the discursive construction of these two journals: more local coverage, based on local and emotional identities (ZH), and more national coverage, based on objective elements (FSP).

El texto es una reseña del trabajo de Gustavo Sanfelice, titulado "Procesos mediáticos en el campo deportivo", publicado en 2018 por Editora Appris. El trabajo está organizado en cinco capítulos, que buscan traer el contexto de la investigación realizada, la comprensión de las estrategias de construcción mediática con la atleta brasileña de gimnasia artística Daiane dos Santos. Sus acciones sociales (ganando títulos anteriores a los Juegos Olímpicos/2004, rendimiento deportivo máximo que la creditaría para ganar una medalla de oro olímpica sin precedentes, elaboración de sus propios gestos técnicos etc.) fueran transformadas en eventos mediáticos, basados en marcos y mapas de significado, en una investigación realizada en los periódicos Zero Hora (ZH) y Folha de São Paulo (FSP). Los resultados son diferenciados en la construcción discursiva: una cobertura más local, basada en aspectos emocionales (ZH), y una cobertura nacional, basada en elementos objectivos (FSP).

A economia das trocas simbólicas no campo do Taekwondo / The symbolic trade economy in Taekwondo field / La economía de los intercambios simbólicos en campo del Taekwondo

O presente artigo objetivou identificar como se constitui a economia das trocas simbólicas no campo esportivo do Taekwondo. Analisaram-se cinco entrevistas semiestruturadas dos "mestres" dessa arte marcial, agentes atuantes no Estado de São Paulo (2007), para identificar essa economia possivelmente reproduzida nesse campo. Usou-se o referencial teórico de Pierre Bourdieu para análise das entrevistas. Considerou-se que essas imposições simbólicas são reproduzidas e ressignificadas e servem como ferramenta de manutenção de poder e posições no interior do campo esportivo do Taekwondo.

The present article aimed to identify how the economy of symbolic exchanges is constituted in the sport field of Taekwondo. We analyzed five semi-structured interviews of the "masters" of this martial art, agents in the State of São Paulo (2007), in order to identify this economy which is possibly reproduced in this field. We used the theoretical framework of Pierre Bourdieu to analyze the interviews. It was considered that these symbolic impositions are reproduced and resignified, and they serve as a tool for maintaining both power and positions within the sports field of Taekwondo.

Este artículo tiene como objetivo identificar cómo la economía de los intercambios simbólicos se constituye en el campo del deporte de Taekwondo. Se analizaron cinco entrevistas semi-estructuradas de los "maestros" de este arte marcial, agentes en el Estado de São Paulo (2007), con el fin de identificar a esta economía que, posiblemente, se reproduce en este campo. Se utilizó el marco teórico de Pierre Bourdieu para analizar las entrevistas. Se consideró que estas imposiciones simbólicas se reproducen y se resignifican, y sirven como una herramienta para mantener tanto poder como posiciones dentro del campo de deportes de Taekwondo.

Relationships between throwing shoulder injuries and strength of rotator cuff muscle in college baseball players - Analysis based on routine functional evaluation at baseball field - / 体力科学

To analyze the relationship of cause and effect between the onset of throwing disorders of the shoulder and decreased muscle strength, two studies were conducted at a baseball field. In study 1, shoulder joint muscle strength was measured when pain developed during practice and the relationship between pain onset and muscle strength was investigated. Decreased muscle strength was noted at the time of pain onset in 8.1% of players. Study 2 was a prospective study in which the relationship between changes in shoulder joint muscle strength from the start of pitching at the beginning of the season to one month later when competitive games began, and shoulder pain that appeared at the beginning of competitive games was analyzed. Based on the results, the possibility of shoulder joint muscle strength being a predictive factor for the onset of throwing disorders of the shoulder was investigated. However the pain group had greater muscle strength than the normal group at the beginning of the season. On the baseball field, the players’ throwing motions and joint function change daily, making it difficult to determine the reason for onset of disorders and injuries. These results suggest that onset of pain at the start of competitive games cannot be predicted from muscle strength at the beginning of the season.
