ABSTRACT
Cisplatin， as one of the commonly used broad-spectrum anti-tumor drugs in clinical practice， is used to treat testicular cancer， ovarian cancer， head and neck cancer， bladder cancer， lung cancer， cervical cancer and other solid cancers. It has obvious curative effect but strong toxic and side effect， and is easy to cause great damage to the body. The toxic reaction may involve serious toxic damages to different organs， and induce nephrotoxicity， hepatotoxicity， ototoxicity， cardiotoxicity， neurotoxicity and other toxicity. Animal experiments have shown that the toxic damage induced by cisplatin is the result of many factors in a time-and dose-dependent manner. In the course of clinical use， the therapeutic dose of cisplatin is also greatly limited due to toxic damage， which seriously affects the quality of life in patients. Therefore， it is the main research direction to find a suitable treatment plan or to use drugs in combination with cisplatin to reduce toxicity and increase efficiency. With the increasing clinical participation of traditional Chinese medicine（TCM）， TCM has shown its unique advantages in treating diseases， and can effectively reduce the cisplatin chemotherapy-induced toxic reaction by improving the oxidative stress state of the body， inhibiting normal apoptosis and inflammatory injury， activating autophagy， regulating the abnormal expression of drug transporters， etc. In this paper， the mechanism of cisplatin-induced toxic damage to various organs and the mechanism of TCM in prevention and treatment of cisplatin-induced toxic damage were summarized in detail， including the dose and mechanism of cisplatin-induced toxic damage to different organs， the effective treatment dose， combined medication mode and prevention and treatment mechanism of combined application of TCM and cisplatin， in order to provide a basis for rational application and clinical medication of TCM combined with chemotherapy drugs such as cisplatin.

Objective] To explore the value of generation between metal and water in treatment bronchial asthma. [Methods] To analyse the theory of generation between metal and water,and explore the TCM mechanism of asthma through studying the Chinese medical book. Retrieve the relative data about using the method of generation between metal and water to treat asthma. Analyze the application value of generation between metal and water from different treatments to asthma. [Results] The method of generation between metal and water is a therapeutic principle which builds according to the five elements relationship between lung and kidney. It has important guiding significance for qi deficiency ,yin deficiency and yang deficiency of lung and kidney. Asthma’s main pathogenesis is “excess in the lungs,deficiency in kidney”,treated by the method of generation between metal and water can strengthen the body resistance and reduce the frequency of asthma. [Conclusion] Generation between metal and water is a method of lung-kidney concurrent treatment,which can treat both the incidental and fundamental aspects of asthma,make asthma in stable state,and improve the patients quality of life,so it has important value in the treatment of asthma.
ABSTRACT
Objective To study the clinical effect of Zhenqifuzheng granule combined with Tegafur gimeracil oteracil potassium capsule in treating advanced carcinoma of gastric cardia in aged patients.Methods 52 cases of aged patients with advanced carcinoma of gastric cardia were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group.The observation group was treated with zhenqi fuzheng granule combined with tegafur gimeracil oteracil potassium capsule,and the control group was given Tegafur gimeracil oteracil potassium capsule only.The curative effect,adverse reaction and cellular immune function were evaluated after two treatment cycles.Results There was no statistically significant difference in the objective efficacy rate between observation (46.2％) and control group (50.0％) (P＞0.05).The rate of adverse reaction was higher in the control group than in observation group (P＜0.05).The rate of gastrointestinal adverse reactions in the control group was 50.0％,but 15.4％ in observation group.The rate of bone marrow suppression was 26.9％ in control group,but 11.5％ in observation group.The cellular immune function was better in observation group than in the control group (P＜0.05).Conclusions Zhenqifuzheng granule can improve immune function and reduce toxic side effects when combined with Tegafur gimeracil oteracil potassim capsule in treating advanced carcinoma of gastric cardia in aged patients.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical efficacy and toxicity of gefitinib combined with Zhenqi Fuzheng capsule in treatment of senile non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) at the middle and late stages. Methods88 patients with NSCLC at Ⅲ b-Ⅳ were randomly divided into combined drugs group ( gefitinib combined Zhenqi Fuzheng capsule,n =46 cases) and single drug group (gefitinib,n=42 cases).After treatment for 60 d,the short-term efficacy,side effects and quality of life were observed and evaluated. The objective response and survival rate were assessed after following up for 2 years. Results The short-term efficacy rate in the combined drugs group (19.6 ％ ) was higher than single drug group (11.9 ％ ),but there was no significant difference between the two groups (x2=0.096,P＞0.05).The rate of Karnofsky score in improvement and stableness was 71.7％ in combined drugs group and 50.0％ in single drug group,and quality of life improved after combined drugs compared with single drug treatment (x2 =4.376,P＜0.05).The adverse effects in combined drugs group was some lower than in single drug group with no statistical significance.There was no differences in the survival rates of 2 years between the two groups(x2 =0.556,P＞0.05). ConclusionsThe gefitinib combined Zhenqi Fuzheng capsule in treatment of middle-and late-stage NSCLC is worthy to be popularized due to positive efficacy,less side effects and higher quality of life.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) pertains to the doctrine of febrile disease in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM). The prevention and treatment of SARS can be under the guidance of doctrine of febrile disease, treating acorrding to different symptoms and finding effective formulas and herbs. As a subject with a long history, doctrine of febrile disease in TCM accumulated a lot of precious clinical experience in treating and preventing infectious diseases or epidemic diseases,which plays a positive role in the prevention and treatment of SARS. Basically the clinical manifestations of SARS are the same with symptom differentiation according to defensive phase, qi phase, nutrient phase and blood phase in doctrine of febrile disease, among which the manifestation and treatment in the qi phase are the most important. So the qi phase is a key point of controlling disease. As one of the therapeutic principles of febrile disease, letting out heat and pathogenic factors is suitable for treating SARS. During the period of treatment, strengthening body resistance must accompany with letting out pathogenic factors, and timely modification of herbal ingredients according to symptoms changes is also important. In the aspect of SARS prevention, doctrine of febrile disease attaches importance to disinfection and isolation. In the post pneumonic stage, doctrine of febrile disease is good at helping recovery, accelerating absorption and preventing fibrosis by using proper foods and herbs.
