After the advantages and processes of medical library in development of think tank were described with the practice of Capital Medical University Library as an example,the role of academic medical libraries in providing reference for decision-making for subject construction in colleges and universities was studied on the basis of subject bibliometric evaluation and keeping abreast of subject frontiers in their think tank development-oriented subject service.

After a subject service level assessment system was established by investigating the subject service in medical libraries of 5 Guangdong universities with LibQUAL +questionnaire, the needs of users for subject service were analyzed using Ridit and product scale respectively, which showed that the users are more interested inserv-ice effectiveness and control of resources and information than subject librarians.

The experiences of Shanghai Jiaotong University Medical Library Alliance in integrating and optimizing the allocation of resources in hospital library alliance, improving the comprehensive service ability, providing the excellent service, working out the regulations for rational use of literature resources, innovating the technology and management were summarized by investigating the library holdings and service in its member libraries. After the development of domestic embedded subject service and its domestic and foreign main models were described, following suggestions were put forward: thinking approach teaching contents and multiple elementary assessment system should be designed based on OBE theory with medical postgraduate general practical medical literature novelty assessment course as its starting point, excellent students should be trained as scientific information detectors by improving their information literacy and practical ability through small scale blended teaching, the professional bottleneck of librarians and talent team construction should be solved by cultivating subject service team for different subjects and strengthening the contacts between different subjects.

Recent advances in carbohydrate metabolism in cancer stem cells were obtained by analyzing the key words in relation with carbohydrate metabolism in cancer stem cells, which are covered in cluster-derived databases ( GoPubMed, XplorMed, AnneO'Tate, MEDSUM, PubReMiner) , with the basic strategies and use characteristics of these 5 databases compared, in order to provide the effective retrieval tools for embedded subject service in li-brary.
