ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE： To investigate the current situation of faculty development research in TCM colleges and universities， to analyze the hot spots and deficiencies in the research， and provide reference for the colleagues to engage in related research and carry out corresponding work. METHODS： With “faculty” as the title or keyword and “TCM university” or “TCM college” as author institution， the literatures about faculty development researches published by the TCM colleges and universities were retrieved from CNKI， VIP and Wanfang database during database establishment to Nov. 19th， 2018. Note Express 3.0 software was used to extract the parameters such as publish year， source journals， publish institution， the authors， cited frequency， fund assistance and keywords. Bibliometric statistics and analysis was performed by using SPSS 19.0 software. RESUITS： Totally 1 183 valid literatures were obtained， mainly for periodical literatures （1 144 literatures）. The total number of literatures was on the rise， and reached to peak value of 118 in 2016. 1 144 literatures were published in 408 journals. The top 6 authors with high production were Liu Jingli （6 literatures）， Liang Xinyue， Liu Na， Liu Yanping， Xu Nanyang， Yan Xiaotian （5 literatures respectively）； the top one institution was Nanjing University of TCM （89 literatures）. 653 （55.20％） literatures have cited records， most of them （457 literatures， 38.63％） were cited 1-3 times， and the average cited frequency was 2.15 times； the ratio of funded papers of state ministries and commissions were less than 3％； 7 098 keywords were extracted and high-frequency keywords were 31， involving “faculty” and “young teachers”. CONCLUSIONS： The research on faculty development in TCM colleges and universities has become increasingly active， but the core research author has not yet formed. The research still lacks of sustainability and comprehensiveness， and the research quality needs to be further improved.
ABSTRACT
Through the theoretical analysis of teaching reform and quality management in tradi-tional Chinese medicine col-leges, this paper puts forward the necessity of improving the quality management and optimizing the reform of education and teaching. Meanwhile, this paper further expounds the comprehen-sive, guiding, operable, qualitative and quantitative principles of teaching reform and quality management in traditional Chinese medicine colleges. Based on the above analysis, the paper puts forward and prac-tices the reform countermeasures to improve the interactive mechanism between the quality of graduates and the reform of teaching in traditional Chinese medicine colleges. The countermeasures include establishing an effective quality tracking feedback mechanism for graduates, actively carrying out the monitoring and evalu-ation of teaching quality, and constructing the measurement and evaluation system of teaching quality of traditional Chinese medicine education. This paper combines the needs of the current society for the culti-vation of talents of traditional Chinese medicine and the training quality standards, so as to promote the development of traditional Chinese medicine.
ABSTRACT
Objective To analyze academic influence of SCI papers of TCM colleges and universities in the recent 10 years;To provide references for scientific research and academic exchange. Methods According to the evaluation ranking of degree and graduate education development center of Ministry of Education published in 2012 and standardization of InCites database, 10 Chinese medicine colleges and universities were selected. InCites platform was used to select 13 representative indicators and to analyze the cited cases, H index and the cooperation of the SCI papers published in 2006-2015. Results The SCI papers published by 10 TCM colleges and universities have been growing rapidly since 2010, and the average influence of standardized citations was 0.76. The average percentage of cited papers was 67%, which was slightly lower than that of 71%in clinical medicine papers of mainland of China. H index was 30. The average percentage of international cooperation papers in TCM colleges and universities was 17.71%, which was lower than the percentage of international cooperation papers in clinical medicine of mainland of China (22.85%). Conclusion In recent 10 years, the academic level of TCM colleges and universities in our country has been developing rapidly. However, there is still a need to further explore international perspectives, focus on research frontiers, strengthen international cooperation, carry out innovative research and improve academic influence.

The paper analyzes current situation of the non -medical majors and literature information retrieval course in Traditional Chinese Medicine ( TCM) colleges and universities , points out the course reform objectives and key points .By taking Liaoning Universi-ty of Traditional Chinese Medicine as an example , it discusses the characteristics of non -medical majors and needs for the literature in-formation retrieval course , and proposes the teaching approach of literature information retrieval course for non -medical majors in TCM colleges and universities .

Objective To investigate the differences of curriculum designs for undergraduate nursing majors among different TCM colleges and universities;To provide evidence for the development of the accreditation standards for academic quality of baccalaureate degree program in TCM colleges and universities which can be used as the standards for teaching reform. Methods Cultivating plans of 20 TCM colleges and universities for undergraduate nursing majors were collected. Current status and deficiency in curriculum design were obtained through comparative study and statistical analysis.Results The course names were lack of standardization;proportion of Chinese and Western medicine related courses were unreasonable;theoretical and practice teaching were irrelevant;optional courses were greatly inconsistent and irrational. Conclusion The further reform of the curriculum design for the undergraduate nursing majors in TCM colleges and universities is in urgent need, which can be standardized by developing the accreditation standards for academic quality of baccalaureate degree program in universities of Chinese Medicine.

ObjectiveTo analyze the different effects of spiral progress method and traditional method used in computer teaching in TCM colleges and universities.MethodsStudents were divided into the groups of spiral and traditional. At the end of the course, students would have a course examination.Results Students in spiral group got better scores than students in traditional group (P<0.05).Conclusion Using spiral progress method in computer teaching in TCM colleges and universities can help students develop the right thinking model and scientific learning method. It can also improve students’ ability to use computer knowledge in TCM study and research.
ABSTRACT
It's a hard but imperative research subject for postgraduate to study medical English in TCM colleges.For more than 3 years,Nanjing University of TCM has obtained good effect in such a field and their practices include adopting original edition of textbooks,selecting medical professionals who are good at English as teachers rather than English teachers who have some medical knowledge.Our teaching methodology is continuous,large volume fast reading.
