ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the influence of tea pigment on myocardial contractility,electrocardiogram(ECG) and heart rate in exsomatized toads under the condition of myocardialischemia.Methods Sixty toads were divided into the normal exsomatized toad heart group(A) and myocardial ischemia toad heart(B).Then the group A was re-divided into the Ringer's solution group (A1),tea pigment low dose(200 mg/L) group(A2) and the high dose(400 mg/L) group(A3);the group B was re-divided into the pituitrin model group(B1),pituitrin + tea pigment low dose(200 mg/L) group(B2) and high dose(400 mg/L) group(B3).The BL-420S biological function experiment system was used to record the myocardial contractile force and ECG change curve of exsomatized toad.Results Compared with the group A1,the myocardial contractility in the group A3 was obviously increased(P<0.05),the difference in the group A2 had no statistical significance(P>0.05);the QRS peak value of ECG and heart rate had no statistically significant difference(P>0.05);compared with the group A1,the myocardial contractility,ECG QRS peak value and heart rate in the group B1 were significantly decreased(P<0.05);compared with the group B1,the myocardial contractility,ECG QRS peak value and heart rate in the group B2 and B3 were significantly increased(P<0.05).Conclusion Tea pigment can obviously improve the decrease of the exsomatized toad cardiac activity caused by myocardial ischemia.

ABSTRACT

Lung cancer has the highest incidence among all of the world’s cancer diseases. Since the incidence and mortality of lung cancer have been increasing year after year, how to prevent and control it arouses general concern in the world. Tea is a healthy drink and has sweet-bitter flavor. It is also slightly cold and non-toxic. Many experimental studies show that a variety of functional components included in tea can be used for preventing, directly intervening and assistantly treating lung cancer or other malignant tumors, so they will be a potential candidate for natural antitumor drugs. For example, tea polyphenols, caffeine, tea pigment, theanine and tea polysaccharide can well inhibit the proliferation of tumor cells, induce apoptosis of tumor cells as well as regulate the expression of related gene and protein. The paper reviews some major researches of prevention and treatment on lung cancer by functional components of tea since 1970, in order to provide reference of systematically cognizing tea’s mechanism on opposing lung cancer, using tea and functional components to resist lung cancer in a safe and effective way, cultivating new varieties of tea armed with high level of specific components and developing new tea products.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: To develop a method for the determination of gallic acid in tea pigment injection. METHODS: RP HLPC method was adopted in which the separation of gallic acid was performed on C18 chromatographic column with a column temperature of 20℃; the mobile phase was composed of acetic acid - McOH - DMF - H2O(2 : 8 : 30 : 160) with a flow rate of 0.5ml/ mm and detection wavelength of 280nm .RESULTS: The linear range of gallic acid was 8.4-92.4?g/ ml( r = 0.9 997),the average recovery rate was 99.13% (RSD = 1.55%) .CONCLUSION: The method developed in the present study is of high specificity .sensitivity .precision,recovery and reproducibility and it can provide a basis for the formulation of quality control method for tea pigment injection.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To establish an RP-HPLC method for the determination of Callic acid and Caffeine in tea pigment.METHODS:The separation of sample performed on Novapak ODS column(250 mm?4.6 mm,5.4 ?m).The mobile phase consisted of acetic acid-methanol-DMF-H2O(2∶3∶35∶160) with a flow rate of 1.0 mL?min-1 and detection wavelength of 280 nm.RESULTS:The linear ranges of Callic acid and Caffeine were 8.16~81.60 ?g?mL-1 and 2.84~28.40 ?g?mL-1.The average recovery rate of Callic acid was 99.8%(RSD=0.5%,n=6) and that of Caffeine was 99.9%(RSD=0.6%,n=6).CONCLUSION:The method is rapid,sensitive and accurate,and suitable for the quality control of tea pigment.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effects and clinical significance of tea pigment on 24 hour urinary endothelin(UET) excretion in patients with early stage diabetic nephropathy.Methods 65 cases of early stage diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into expermental group and control group.Control group was treated by routine treatment and the expermental group was treated by tea pigment,in addition to routine treatment,and was orally given tea pigment capsule 0 24g three time daily,for 8 weeks.The amounts of 24 hours UET and urinary albumin excretion rate(UAER)in the two groups patients before and after treatment were measured using radioimmunoassay method.Results The amounts of 24 hour UET in patients with diabetic nephropathy were elevated significantly as compared with those in normal control group(P0 05).After 8 week's treatment,the amounts of 24 hour UET and UAER in expermental group were significantly lower than those of control group(P
