ABSTRACT

A teaching case library of clinical pharmacy was constructed to improve case teaching for pharmacy residents. Through establishment of draft requirement and organizing a group of authors consti-tuted by preceptors of pharmacy residents, the teaching cases were written, the contents and forms of which were assessed by teaching demonstration, interactively examined and revised by fellow teachers, audited and screened by senior pharmacists , and thus a case library was collaborated , processed and established . Finally, a case library was formed, which included 11 systems, such as endocrine, cardiovascular and neu-rological systems, and 32 cases of drug treatment for common diseases in each system. The construction ofcase library has enhanced the teaching consciousness and skills of resident pharmacists' teaching team. This case library will become an important resource for teaching and scientific research in the future.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze current situation and development tendency of medical teaching case library construction and to provide information for medical teaching reform. Methods Bibliometrics was used to retrieve and analyze literatures on the subject of medical teaching case library construction from China National Knowledge Infrastructure, CBMdisc, VIP and Wanfang Data from construction to June 20th,2017. Results Totally 116 articles published in 71 journals were included.A gradual growth was found in the number of publication and funded articles. The average citation count was 2.05. A majority of articles were produced in Beijing, Guangdong and Shanghai. Medical teaching case library covered 9 majors and 42 courses and applied in class teaching (50.00%, 58/116), clinical practice (37.07%, 43/116), refresher training (2.59%, 3/116), assessment and evaluation (0.86%, 1/116). Satisfaction investigate,examination score analysis and expert review were commonly used to evaluate the quality of case library. Conclusions Researches in China on medical teaching case library construction were increasing in recent years.Case library were applied in various aspects of medical teaching,however, there still remained some problems.Articles on the subject of case library were not highly-cited.There was no core author group yet. The subject on medical case library still needed deep and further exploration. There′s suggestion that we should attach importance to medical case library construction and related study to push medical education reform.

ABSTRACT

Case teaching is one of the important means to improve teaching effect in the process of pharmacology teaching. According to the teaching object, teaching objectives and requirements to build one useful teaching case library about pharmacology, which can be used and shared for a long time, is the premise of case teaching in pharmacology. According to the actual situation of case teach-ing in our university, this study researched and explored the background of case library building, the basic principles of case compilation, the establishment of team, the teacher-led and the student-oriented processes of case building, and the process of sorting and summarizing cases in the case library build-ing, which promotes the reform in the pharmacology case teaching, improves teaching quality, and also provides a reference for other universities or schools and disciplines on teaching case library building.

ABSTRACT

Situational teaching method was implemented in clinical teaching of obstetrics and gynecology. The basis of situational teaching was established through the establishment of a typical teaching case library. Students' impression of disease diagnosis and treatment was strengthened by simulation. The students' enthusiasm was improved by their own diagnosis and treatment through the teacher's guidance. With the method of situational teaching, students had better knowledge of obstetrics and gynecology, and their clinical diagnosis and treatment capacity was improved. Situational teaching method can improve the quality of teaching and it is worthy being popularized in clinical teaching of obstetrics and gynecology.
