ABSTRACT
Resumen El presente artículo reside en la investigación que se realizó en las Sedes Regionales de Educación Superior estatales ubicadas en Guanacaste. Se efectuó un análisis de los sistemas institucionales que utilizan las universidades en la formulación de proyectos de investigación y extensión. Se determinó que, aunque los procedimientos conllevan a un mismo fin, los sistemas de la Universidad de Costa Rica, Universidad Nacional y la Universidad Estatal a Distancia son muy diferentes, cuyo resultado no permite la compatibilidad tecnológica ni observar los proyectos que ejecutan las universidades públicas que las vinculan con la sociedad costarricense. Como corolario de la investigación, se propone un sistema con miras a integrar las plataformas tecnológicas y visibilizar los proyectos, en beneficio de la comunidad universitaria regional y nacional. Por lo cual es fundamental la coordinación de las direcciones de investigación y extensión de las Sedes Regionales con las Bibliotecas, para aprovechar sus capacidades en el tratamiento y diseminación de la información.
Abstract This article resides in the research that was carried out in the State Regional Higher Education, located in Guanacaste. An analysis of the institutional systems used by universities in the formulation of research and extension projects was carried out. It was determined that although the procedures lead to the same purpose, the systems of the University of Costa Rica, National University and the State University at a Distance are very different, the result of which does not allow for technological compatibility nor to observe the projects executed by public universities that they link them with Costa Rica society. As a corollary of research, a system is proposed with a view to integrating technology platforms and making projects visible, for the benefit of the regional and national university community. Therefore, it is essential to coordinate the research and extension of the Regional with the Libraries, to take advantage of their capacities in the treatment and dissemination of information.

Transformations taking place in nursing and nursing education have been driven by developments in health care delivery and professional issues unique to nursing: Changing Demographics and Increasing Diversity, The Technological Explosion, The Era of the Educated Consumer, Alternative Therapies and Genomics, and Palliative Care, The Growing Need for Interdisciplinary Education for Collaborative Practice, Opportunities for Lifelong Learning and Workforce Development, Signicant Advances in Nursing Science and Research. An improved education system that promotes seamless academic progression can be achieved through higher levels of education and training of nurses. Academic institutions have a responsibility to prepare nurses to meet diverse patient needs and advance science to provide highest levels of quality care to patients. There is a need to transform nursing education to work effectively with other health professionals in a fast-changing health system, globally. Continuous lifelong learning through modern methods of learning and teaching and a dynamic curriculum will prepare the nurses to meet the challenges of the new millennium.
ABSTRACT
As doenças crônicas compõem um conjunto de condições crônicas que em geral estão relacionadas a causas múltiplas e apresentam curso clínico que muda ao longo do tempo, com possíveis períodos de agudização, podendo gerar incapacidades. Requerem intervenções associadas a mudanças de estilo de vida, em um processo de cuidado contínuo que nem sempre leva à cura. O presente artigo teve por objetivo apresentar considerações acerca dos desafios da enfermagem no cuidado aos pacientes com doenças crônicas na área da reumatologia e descrever as principais estratégias para promover uma atenção mais eficiente para esse grupo. Pode-se concluir que melhorar os cuidados de saúde para os portadores de doenças crônicas, aqui destacadas as reumatológicas, vai exigir implementação de diretrizes mais eficazes e redesenho de processos e sistemas de oferta de ações e serviços.
Chronic diseases comprise a group of chronic conditions that are usually related to multiple causes and present clinical courses that change over time, with possible exacerbation periods, which can generate disabilities. They require interventions associated with changes in lifestyle, in a process of continuous care that does not always lead to a cure. This paper aims at considering the challenges to nursing in the care of patients with chronic diseases in the field of rheumatology and at describing the main strategies to promote more effective care to that group. We can conclude that improving health care for patients with chronic diseases, such as the rheumatic ones highlighted here, requires both the implementation of more effective policies and the redesigning of processes and supply systems of actions and services.
Las enfermedades crónicas constituyen un grupo de condiciones crónicas que por lo general están relacionadas con múltiples causas y presentan curso clínico que cambia con el tiempo, con posibles períodos de exacerbación, que pueden generar discapacidades. Requieren intervenciones asociadas a cambios en el estilo de vida, en un proceso de atención continua que ni siempre conduce a una cura. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo presentar las consideraciones sobre los retos de la enfermería en el cuidado de pacientes con enfermedades crónicas en el campo de la reumatología y describir las principales estrategias para promover una atención más eficaz a ese grupo. Se puede concluir que la mejora de la atención de salud para los pacientes con enfermedades crónicas, aquí destacadas las reumáticas, requerirá la aplicación de políticas más eficaces y rediseño de procesos y sistemas de oferta de acciones y servicios.

Objective To investigate the projects that won the National Science and Technology Progress Award in medical and health field of Chinese PLA.Methods The number of projects that won the National Science and Technology Progress Award in medical and health field of Chinese PLA from 2007 to 2012 was calculated.Results The number, class and award-won rate of projects that won the National Science and Technology Progress Award in medical and health field of Chinese PLA from 2007 to 2012 increased .The award-won achievements focused on the public health safety, difficult and complicated disease prevention and treatment.Conclusion The Scientific research contingent in medical and health field of Chinese PLA is an important force in the national scientific and technological innovation system.Clinical work combined with scientific research has become an important innovation model in medical and health field of Chinese PLA.Policy and finance should keep their favor upon the projects of public health safety.

Este estudo buscou identificar as novas exigências do trabalho em escritórios, no atual cenário produtivo, motivadas pelas inovações tecnológicas e organizacionais e sua repercussão na qualidade de vida no trabalho. O referencial teórico fundamentou-se nos pressupostos da Ergonomia da Atividade, e o método baseou-se na Análise Ergonômica do Trabalho (AET). A pesquisa, de abordagem qualitativa, utilizou entrevistas semiestruturadas individuais, com a participação de trinta profissionais de uma instituição financeira brasileira de grande porte, e os dados foram analisados com o uso do programa Alceste. Os resultados apontaram que os entrevistados reconhecem a importância das inovações tecnológicas na realização de suas atividades, mas associam a elas o advento de novas exigências, decorrentes principalmente da intensificação e da maior complexidade e controle do trabalho, que resultam no aumento do custo humano do trabalho.
This study aimed to identify the new requirements of work in offices, in the current production scenario, driven by technological and organizational innovations, and their impact on the quality of work life. The theoretical framework was based on the assumptions of Ergonomics of Activity, and the method was based on Ergonomic Work Analysis (EWA). The research, which has a qualitative approach, used individual semi-structured interviews, with the participation of thirty professionals from a large Brazilian financial institution, and the data were analyzed using the software Alceste. The results indicated that respondents recognize the importance of technological innovations to carry out their activities, but they associate to them the advent of new requirements, mainly due to the intensification and greater complexity and control of work, resulting in an increased human cost of work.
