ABSTRACT

@#With widespread popularization, the radiological diagnosis and treatment technology has played an increasingly important role in clinical practice. The tertiary general hospital is generally featured as multiple types of radioisotope and radiation equipment, wide involvement of departments and persons, and many ways of use and potential harms of the radiological diagnosis and treatment technology. Radiation protection has become a content that cannot be ignored in hospital management. This article analyzes the radiation protection management structure of the tertiary general hospital - Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital. The hospital radiation protection management is gradually improved by clarifying the main leading department, refining duties and responsibilities, strengthening multi-departmental communication and cooperation, and sorting out key connection links. A closed loop of refined management is formed through digging and correcting problems and continuously improving the management level and work efficiency. Valid qualifications are ensured to be obtained in time by radiation workers, radioactive drugs, equipment, and the venues to guarantee the radiation safety of radiation workers and patients and to further promote the construction of the Safe Hospital.

ABSTRACT

As an important measure starting for hospital management, hospital accreditation can effectively guide hospitals to improve their comprehensive service capabilities and management level. The accreditation results of 38 tertiary general hospitals in Jiangsu province from 2018 to 2020 showed that there were weaknesses existing in the development of hospitals, including the radiosity and influence of tertiary hospitals, patient service mode, construction of medical technology capabilities and disciplines, medical quality and safety, nursing quality management and specialized nursing, and information construction. The author suggested that hospitals should return to functional positioning, improve the service quality, strengthen construction of hospital disciplines and technical projects, consolidate the foundation of quality and safety management, improve the level of information technology construction, for references for promoting the high-quality sustainable development of tertiary general hospitals.

ABSTRACT

Objective@#To investigate the implementation of disease prevention and control services at tertiary public general hospitals in Beijing for providing evidences to explore and build a scientific evaluation model of disease control service in medical institutions.@*Methods@#June to September 2018, through a questionnaire survey of 50 tertiary public general hospitals in Beijing, a descriptive analysis was made on the department setting, personnel allocation and service provision status of disease prevention and control at tertiary public general hospitals in Beijing.@*Results@#Among the 44 investigated public tertiary general hospitals, 26(59.1%) medical institutions have set up departments of disease prevention and control. The average staffing of 44 hospitals was 5.8 persons for the department. Professional composition of the staff was mostly nursing and clinical disciplines, and the academic and professional titles were mostly undergraduate and intermediate degrees respectively. Overall performance of disease prevention and control services in public tertiary general hospitals was satisfactory. The work was well carried out in communicable disease control and death-surveillance management, namely in immunoprophylaxis, chronic noncommunicable diseases and injury monitoring, which varies widely in mental health services, occupational health management, environmental and health monitoring and other functions.@*Conclusions@#Professional ability and management level of personnel still need to be improved. We should further clarify the joint prevention and control mechanism of the " Three-in-one" nature of disease control institutions, medical institutions and communities, promote the combination of medical treatment and prevention, and explore the classification and grading evaluation of disease control work based on the types and quantity requirements of disease prevention and control services undertaken by hospitals, so as to effectively improve the level of disease control services in hospitals.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To empirically evaluate the impact of the reform of separating drug sales from medical services reform on the operation of public hospitals in Beijing. Methods:Taking R hospital as a case study,Twenty-six clinical departments were selected as samples, and the indicators which have significant change after medical reform were analyzed by descriptive statistics,Pairing test,Correlation test and Spearman correlation test. 24 tested indicators included workload, cost and medication behavior. Results:After the Beijing medical reform between May to September 2017,and from May to September 2016, R hospital workload and cost indicators changed in varying degrees. There were differences between the two groups in terms of the internal medicine and surgery, and the medi-cation behavior had no significant change. Conclusion:The effect of Beijing's healthcare reform policy is obvious. R hospital has the trend of decreasing outpatient volume, drug proportion and medical insurance costs. ABSTRACT

Objective:This paper aims to investigate the awareness and demand for medical liability insurance of doctors, and to provide policy recommendations for the further development of medical liability insurance in China. Method:A stratified random sampling survey is conducted on doctors from a Top3 general hospital in Guangzhou, and the relevant departments and individual doctors were interviewed. Results:The higher the risk in a department, the higher their awareness of medical liability insurance becomes;the longer the length of service for a doctor, the more understanding of medical liability insurance the doctor has. Medical liability insurance is generally supported by doc-tors with a strong willingness of demand, but they opinions on bearing and sharing the insurance premium are quite different. Discussion:Doctors still lack sufficient knowledge of medical liability insurance due to the lack of effective publicity. The structural mode of medical liability insurance is still relatively vague, and the government leadership and market operation ability have a serious shortage. Suggestion:This paper suggest to improve the relevant laws and regulations of medical liability insurance, to strengthen government supervision and publicity, to build a reasonable development model of medical liability insurance in line with the national circumstances, and to strengthen an effec-tive combination of government leadership and market operation.
