ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo evaluate the effect of the modified pelvic reconstructive surgery for the pelvic organ prolapse. Methods36 pelvic organ prolapse patients were divided into two groups, research group and control group. The research group received modified pelvic reconstructive surgery, while the control group was give traditional pelvic reconstructive surgery. The surgery duration, length of stay, blood loss during surgery between the two groups were compared. ResultsThe research group had no patient who was recurrence, and no patient had complications.While the control group had 4 patients who was recurrence, and no patient had complications. The surgery duration,length of stay,blood loss during surgery of the control group was statistically more than the research group( all P <0. 05 ). ConclusionThe modified pelvic reconstructive surgery for the pelvic organ prolapse could cure the pelvic organ prolapse effectively. And the modified pelvic reconstructive surgery was a better choice according to the traditional pelvic reconstructive surgery.
