ABSTRACT
Background: Patients experiencing low back pain (LBP) often benefit from therapeutic exercise. These exercises can retrain trunk muscles and improve spinal stability and sensory integration. Consequently, we aimed to compare the efficacy of a core stabilization program and conventional exercises in low back pain. Methods: This prospective, comparative study comprised 192 subjects aged 20-60 with nonspecific chronic low back pain (NSLBP). Core stabilization or usual physical therapy activities were randomly assigned to groups C or R. Both treatment groups received TENS and ultrasound therapy. Pretreatment, second, fourth, and sixth-week post-treatment outcomes were documented using a visual analogue scale (VAS). Results: Both groups were female-dominated. Height, weight, and BMI were comparable. At baseline, group C had a mean VAS score (5.69±1.80), while group R had (5.52±1.42). P value 0.4684 indicates no significant difference between exercise groups. At the final assessment, group C had a considerably (p<0.0001*) lower mean VAS score (2.96±0.39) than group R (3.89±0.98). Group C had a substantially higher mean VAS score change from baseline to the final evaluation (-2.73±0.51) than group R (-1.18±0.79). Conclusions: Core stabilization exercise is more effective than routine physical therapy exercise in terms of greater reduction in pain in chronic NSLBP.
ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT Introduction Tai Ji is a martial art rich in traditional Chinese ethnic characteristics. Its flexible, free and open movements make its practice popular and esteemed by many female college students. However, there is a demand for experimental research on the impacts of the art on the physical and mental health of its college practitioners. Objective Verify the effects of Tai Ji practice on the physical health of university students. Methods This study used the methods of literature, experimental and mathematical statistics, through the influence of Tai Ji style number 24 on the physical health of female university students in different groups. Results The research shows that under the intervention of this style, with the same content, intensity, and time of exercise, the physical health of female college students in the low-fitness group was significantly improved. Conclusion Female college students in the medium and high fitness group improved their physical health indicators due to their physical preconditioning. Level of evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigation of treatment outcomes.

ABSTRACT
@#BACKGROUND: Early physical therapy plays important role in improving functional capacity, activities of daily life, and quality of life after acute myocardial infarction. OBJECTIVE: We aimed to describe effects of 4 weeks physical therapy program after acute myocardial infarction. METHODS: In our study, 20 men participated in physical therapy program for 14 days after PCI surgery. The patients were diagnosed with myocardial infarction and aged 56.45±8.1. Their BMI was 27.39±3.61and waist circumference was 98±9.28. Exercise program was scheduled 3 times a week with each session consisting of 34-70% intensity exercises for 60 minutes. Exercise type is aerobic (warming up for 10 minutes, walking, bicycling and cooling down stretch for 10 minutes). RESULTS: For the 6-minute walking test (p=0.01) there was significant difference between before and after 4 weeks’ exercise program. CONCLUSION: The hospital based 4 weeks exercise program improved the functional capacity for pci patients.

ABSTRACT Low back pain is an illness with various economic and social repercussions since it is one on the most causes of work absence worldwide. When the patient feels pain in the back, there is an uncertainty regarding a possible risk or cause for low back pain; however, diagnosis is not easy, and around 90 % of the cases do not present physical evidence, therefore, the problem is classified as a non-specific low back pain. Treatment includes body movement, because rest weakens the back muscles and causes atrophy; the recommended exercise methods include exercises for the trunk and abdomen muscles mainly, muscular resistance, spinal stability, Pilates, Williams and Mckenzie exercises, Feldenkrais and Alexander techniques, among others.(AU)
