ABSTRACT

Abstract Understanding how people forget is one of the fundamental goals of the science of memory. Recent studies indicate that humans can voluntarily regulate awareness of unwanted memories by stopping the retrieval process that would ordinarily bring past experience into awareness. Event-related potential (ERP) research on memory retrieval reveals that electrophysiological effects with specific timing and scalp topography serve as markers of memory processes. This systematic review examines the literature regarding EEG alterations in memory suppression, highlighting their results on electrophysiological indicators. A systematic review from January 2007 to November 2017 was conducted using PubMed, Embase and ScienceDirect databases. As results, 12 studies were eligible for inclusion. Quantitative EEG can be a objective tool for studying the mechanisms involved in memory suppression. There is evidence that a parietal positivity around 400-800ms after cue presentation is an ERP marker of conscious recollection during memory retrieval and a larger N2 deflection during retrieval suppression predicted greater suppression-induced forgetting.

ABSTRACT

Heidegger's radicalization of the phenomenological problematic of intentionality reaches its climax in the concept of Ereignis, in the context of the Beiträge. Ereignis means the mutual appropriation of being and its "there" place in human world, which has a cairological propitious moment. The event of this reciprocal appropriation manifests itself in many ways: in word, gesture, act, work. But in the last Heidegger, it reaches its highest expression in what he calls "thinking": the "propitious thinking" (Ereignis-Denken), which is neither calculating nor metaphysical, which is "other" in relation to what has already been (philosophically). About that "other thinking" Heidegger says that it is a way of liking (mögen) being, and so it makes the new possible (möglich) and grateful (dankend) to be propitiusly propriated. The same happens in love, as a "propriation" that "expropriates", being the appropriate soil to welkome difference. The present essay explores this link between thinking and loving as a propitious scope for the happening of the "new" and defends its irreducibility to the initial conception of any intentional object.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the value and feasibility of Microsim medical simulation training system in medical students' clinical thinking training. Method 96 students of 5-year program of medicine of Grade 2009 and Grade 2010 were the research object. These students were randomly divided into two groups (group A:After 3 weeks' clinical practice in respiratory medicine, taking 1 week Microsim training. group B: Taking 4 weeks clinical practice in respiratory medicine. Each group has 48 students.). The examination and teaching satisfaction of the two groups were observed after the end of the internship. SPSS 17.0 statistical software was used to analyze the collected data (measurement data matching t test, counting data by chi-square test). Results The Microsim system score: group A was (89.37±7.18), group B was (61.95±15.34). The difference between groups was statistically signifi-cant. The following scores suggested the assessment of students' ability of clinical thinking: ability to analyze problems [group A (89.95±4.02) vs. group B (75.51±6.34)], the ability to deal with the prob-lem [group A (78.81±8.09) vs. group B (59.67±9.33)], treatment scheme [group A (86.74±6.59) vs. group B (70.39±7.05)] and the treatment effect [group A (88.61±8.16) vs. group B (63.54±11.48)]. In these aspects, the two groups had statistically significant difference, but communication [group A (82.47 ±5.23) vs. group B (84.09 ±3.72)] had no statistically significant difference between the two groups. 89.6% (43) of the participants believed that the Microsim medical simulation training system could significantly improve the clinical thinking ability, but only 58.3% (28) of the students believed that the basic theory of knowledge could be consolidated. Conclusion Microsim medical simulation training system can improve the students' ability of clinical thinking and clinical comprehensive treat-ment ability. It can be used as an effective complement to clinical practice teaching.

ABSTRACT

How to cultivate oral medical graduate students with solid general medical founda-tion is still under exploration. There are some systematic, comprehensive and relatively weak limita-tions for different departments' rotations in training general clinical skills for professional degree post-graduates in stomatology. With the establishment of a comprehensive teacher group of oral medicine, prosthodontics and oral & maxillofacial surgery in department of general dentistry, students can be trained for general clinical thinking and skills, and the students' ability of general clinical practice has been strengthened via these programs. On the basis of postgraduate students' analysis of structures and learning interests and under the premise of upholding the uniform requirements, the individualized and hierarchical teaching has been conducted to the students, paying attention to stimulating their interest in learning. Besides, by way of a comprehensive assessment, students' academic performance has been objectively evaluated.
