ABSTRACT
El objetivo de este artículo es realizar una pequeña revisión de algunos aspectos generales sobre la ingeniería de tejido especialmente lo referente a la regeneración de la dentina y la pulpa. La ingeniería de tejido es un campo de investigación nuevo, altamente interesante que propone la reparación del tejido dañado, como también la creación de órganos de reemplazo. En endodoncia los procedimientos de regeneración estarían destinados a remplazar células del complejo dentino-pulpar, la dentina y estructuras radiculares dañadas o perdidas. La terapia de regeneración revolucionará el futuro de la endodoncia, sin embargo, requiere de mayores investigaciones para poder ser una alternativa de tratamiento, como recubridor pulpar para conservar la vitalidad pulpar y para el tratamiento de conductos.
The purpose of this article is review some of the general aspects about the tissue engineering and regeneration of the dentin and pulp. The engeneering is a novel and highy exciting field of research that aims to repair damaged tissue as well as create replacement organs. In endodontics the the procedures regenerative designed to replace damaged structures, inclucling dentin and root structures, as well as cell of the pulps-dentin complex. The treatment of regeneration will revolutionize the future of the endodontic, but more research is needed so it can be an alternative of treatment as pulp capping procedures to preserve the vitality pulp and for the canal treatment.
