ABSTRACT

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an indispensable carrier of traditional culture for China to embrace the world. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, the state proposed to "comprehensively promote the building of a healthy China, attach equal importance to TCM and western medicine, and vigorously develop the cultural industry of TCM". Promoting the development of TCM cultural industry needs scientific and innovative approaches. This paper explored how to realize the communication path of TCM culture from the perspective of "Industry-University-Research". Based on the analysis of the current situation of TCM culture communication, taking Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine as an example, this paper integrated technology, human resources, resources, environment and information and other collaborative innovation elements to effectively gather, and explored a new way for the collaborative development of TCM communication with enterprises, schools, scientific research institutions and et al, aiming to further help TCM culture go abroad.

ABSTRACT

@#After the integration of Yangtze River Delta was elevated and developed into a national strategy, few domestic studies have been conducted to explore the integrated and collaborative development of biopharmaceutical industry in the Yangtze River Delta region, which, as an important region of biopharmaceutical industry in China, has initially formed the development mode of industrial clusters. In this study, based on the industry-university-research model of patent and fund project cooperation, the social network analysis (SNA) method is used to analyze and study the cooperation of patent and Major Projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China in the biopharmaceutical industry in the Yangtze River Delta region. The study shows that the industry-university-research cooperation in the biomedical field in the Yangtze River Delta region is still in the development stage and the degree of integration needs to be improved. Universities and research institutes are more inclined to cooperate with enterprises for invention patents and with other universities for fund project research. It is suggested that the Yangtze River Delta region should adopt the deep integration mode of industry-university-research, relevant leading scientific research institutions should establish open innovation platforms, and pharmaceutical universities should cultivate innovative talents with the advantages of their disciplines, and adopt "Revealing the List and Taking Command" or other ways to tackle key core technologies.

ABSTRACT

Abstract The principle of psychoanalytic investigation is to provide conditions for discoveries, but not necessarily to discover what was sought. On the other hand, at the university level, a frequent requirement is the delineation of general objectives, specific objectives, hypotheses, and expected results. How is it possible, then, in the face of clinical and university claims, to study unconscious phenomena so as not to violate the nature of the object of study? This article proposes to conduct a theoretical discussion on the epistemology of psychoanalytic research and its place within university research. Psychoanalytic research is conceptualized as a matrix of strategies guided by clinical practice and research. In this context, the focus of this article is directed at the case study.

ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Universities are immersed in a globalized world with new knowledge and technologies. This requires to focus their objectives to meet society's demands. Advanced human capital has to be capable of strategic planning which is key to university development and must be aimed at educational excellence, quality of scientific research, and high-level technology. These elements make possible the creation of efficient units capable of performing in increasingly demanding markets. The objective is to describe a policy strategy for university research management applied to the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of La Frontera. The development of this policy included a strategy based on the generation of a research environment through the creation of a Master's degree and the establishment of four pillars: recruitment and training in research of human resources, creation of research centers, creation, and implementation of research laboratories and collaboration with national bodies and foreign universities. This policy has succeeded in improving scientific production and publication quality, positioning the Faculty of Dentistry within the Universidad de La Frontera. We consider that the strategy presented can be applied in different faculties of Chilean Universities. For its application, technological and social advances and demands of the current times must be considered.

ABSTRACT

This paper studies the period considered the 'prehistory' of the Instituto de Biofísica, namely between November 1937 and October 1945, during which Carlos Chagas Filho championed the inclusion of scientific research at Universidade do Brasil (UB), despite facing multiple and complex obstacles. The lack of successful precedents at UB isolated him to one inexpressive chair. The equipment available was inadequate for his purposes; there were no official sources and forms of access to funding for science or trained personnel for research activities. On the other hand, Chagas Filho won over allies due both to the political and social clout of his name and his marriage, and to his scientific influence ensuing from his success in attaining the goals he fought for.

ABSTRACT

This study investigates the reasons and motivations behind Carlos Chagas Filho's choice to abandon the line of study developed by his father, Carlos Chagas, and brother, Evandro Chagas, both of whom had very successful careers researching tropical diseases. Though Carlos Chagas Filho first worked on anatomical pathology, he suddenly shifted his attentions of the physicochemical aspects of vital processes. Extant sources show that a number of unforeseen circumstances took place from early on in Chagas Filho's education. There was a chance he could carry out work of a similar import in a different area and he set his sights, with uncommon luck, on the introduction of scientific research at university.
