ABSTRACT
Objective To solve the shortage of plane network using VLAN technology.Methods We introduces the characteristics of VLAN technology and discusses the partition methods of VLAN to realize the partition of whole hospital.Results The network structure was regulated effectively by using VLAN.Conclusion VLAN technology can not only realize the network flexible disposition,but also enhance the network security greatly.

Objective Broadcast storm caused by excessive datastream is dealt with by using VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network). Methods Through the VLAN, according to the location, roles and departments, network users or internet users, which application procedures and protocols are devided info groups. Results According to the hospital's network equipment and application situation, the local area network division of 16 VLAN is designed. Conclusion There are very good application prospects on improving the network manageability and providing better security.

This paper introduces the overall strategy of routing,the organization and preparation as well as the implementation of VLAN division in Nanjing General Hospital of Nanjing Military Region.VLAN can control the broadcast storm and enhance the safety and management of local area network.
