ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT In today's web world, Service-oriented architectures represent the main standard for IT infrastructures. Certainly, with the initiation of service oriented architecture, Web services have gained incredible growth. Web service discovery has become increasingly more significant as the existing use of web service. Discovering most appropriate web service from vast collection of web services is very decisive for successful execution of applications. In automation of web service discovery, there is always a need to deem Quality of Service (QoS) attributes during matching. A study of literature concerning the evolution of different web service discovery optimization methods with unique prominence to quality motivated service discovery have been carried out in this work. This paper depicts Bio-inspired algorithms optimizing the discovery process for semantic web services. Bio-inspired algorithm is a metaheuristics method that mimics the nature in order to unravel optimization difficulty and evaluates the analysis of some popular bio-inspired optimization algorithm systematically. This paper also focused on the principle of each algorithm and their application with respect to run time oriented QoSattributes and from result the best suitable bio-inspired optimization algorithm is been deployed.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To develop an interface program between a hospital inspection information system and Hospital Information System(HIS). Such interface program not only guarantees the safety and independence of HIS, but achieves interoperability between HIS and other third-party system.Methods: The interface program between the inspection information system and HIS conforming to hospital demands is developed by using Visual Studio 2008 development platform and WebServices+XML technology.Results: The interface between the inspection information system and HIS operates stably, reliably and efficiently, avoiding manually input information errors, reducing the amount of registration work, and raising work efficiency.Conclusion:WebServices+XML technology is utilized to develop an interface characterized by safety, stability and reliable performance, realizing resource sharing among information systems in the hospital. Besides, the interface can be expanded in the future to adapt to other third-party system, achieving customization.

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish a regional medical information sharing platform used to promote the sharing of regional medical data such as electronic medical records( EMR) and medical images in order to improve medical services. Methods With reference to results and experience of the domestic and foreign research and by virtualizing re-establish-ment of the existing medical information resources,a regional medical information sharing platform was established based on cloud computing, SOA,and Web services, and then the heterogeneous information systems in different medical institutions were integrated.Results A novel cloud platform solution was proposed for clinical information exchange between medical institutions based on Web services that exchanged data and ensured the data security and privacy using XML encryption and compression.The prototype developed in a cloud environment was put into use in dozens of military hospitals to enable the sharing of clinical information.Conclusion This cloud computing platform has the advantages of dynamic scalability, distributed and ubiquitous access.It is highly feasible and practical for regional medical informatization.

ABSTRACT

Cuba enfrenta el reto de informatizar su sociedad optimizando el uso de nuevas tecnologías, para mejor gestión de la información médica. Lleva a cabo la informatización del Sistema Nacional de Salud, desarrollando el Sistema de Información para la Salud (SISalud), plataforma formada por componentes con un nivel de cohesión y acoplamiento que permite integrar las aplicaciones informáticas para la salud, interactuar entre ellas y reutilizar la información de manera eficiente; almacenada en bases de datos independientes, soportadas sobre un servidor MySQL y comunicándose entre sí mediante Servicios Web, basados en XML y arquitectura en 3 capas. Esto le ofrece al usuario final una visión integrada de los datos para ser usados por distintos niveles de dirección, docencia, investigación y gestión de salud, lo que garantiza la gestión, en tiempo real y con alcance nacional, de los datos generales de los ciudadanos cubanos y el capital humano en Unidades de Salud. El objetivo de este trabajo es demostrar las ventajas del uso de las bases de datos distribuidas como parte del desarrollo de esta solución informática para el sector de la salud(AU)


Cuba faces the challenge of computerizing their society optimizing the use of new technologies to better management of medical information. Performs computerization of NHS, developing the Information System for Health (SISalud) platform consists of components with a level of cohesion and coupling that allows applications to integrate health, interact with them and reuse information efficiently; stored in separate databases, supported on a MySQL server and communicating with each other via Web Services, and XML-based 3-tier architecture. This gives the end user an integrated view of the data to be used by different levels of management, teaching, research and health management, ensuring management, and real-time national reach of the general data of citizens Cubans and human capital in health units. The aim of this work is to demonstrate the advantages of using the distributed database as part of the development of this software solution for the health sector(AU)

En el año 2008, se crea alasMEDIGEN: Sistema Informático de Genética Médica, el cual tiene como objetivo recoger los datos obtenidos por los diferentes estudios genéticos que se llevan a cabo en el Centro Nacional de Genética Médica; cuenta con siete módulos que gestionan de forma independiente su negocio y comparten la misma base de datos: Registro Cubano de Enfermedades Genéticas, Registro Cubano de Malformaciones Congénitas, Registro Cubano de Discapacidades, Registro Cubano de Discapacidad Intelectual, Registro Cubano de Gemelos, Registro Cubano de Historias Clínicas, Registro Cubano de Anomalías Cromosómicas, Registro Cubano de Enfermedades Comunes y Teleconsulta. En el año 2009 se crea el Marco Regulatorio del Grupo de Gestión de Integración de Soluciones, el cual plantea que todos los sistemas informáticos de salud pública deben presentar una arquitectura orientada a servicios, ajustándose a la integración a nivel de servicios web. Este artículo tiene como objetivo describir las funcionalidades del producto alasMEDIGEN en su versión 1.1 así como los servicios web del Registro Informatizado de la Salud que consume, contribuyendo a que la información que se gestiona en los diferentes estudios de genética médica sea confiable, y esté centralizada. Esta orientación a servicios agiliza el desarrollo de muchas investigaciones científicas en el campo de la genética médica y garantiza la integridad de la información(AU)


In 2008, alasMediGen (Medical Genetics Computer System) was created. This system is aimed to collect the data obtained from the different genetic studies carried out at the National Center of Medical Genetics. It has seven modules that manage their businesses independently and share the same database: Cuban Register of Genetic Diseases, Cuban Register of Congenital Malformations, Cuban Register of Physical Disabilities, Cuban Register of Mental Deficiency, Cuban Register of Twins, Cuban Register of Clinical Records, Cuban Register of Chromosome Anomalies, Cuban Register of Common Diseases, and Teleconsultation. In 2009, the regulations stating that every computer system in Public Health must have an architecture oriented to the services were created; allowing the integration through web services. This paper is intended to describe the functionalities of the alasMediGen product in its 1.1 version as well as the web services provided by the Health Computerized System consumed by the system, allowing that the information managed in different studies of medical genetics to be reliable and centralized. This service oriented architecture speeds up the development of many scientific researches in the field of medical genetics and ensures data integrity(AU)

ABSTRACT

We developed an identifier mapping application for bioinformatics research in Java programming language. It is easy to use and provides many usability functionalities that are expected as essentials for a professional application. It supports three widely used mapping services and can convert many ids from one source database into many target databases at once. Id mapping across service providers is possible by remapping the resultant ids. Because it adheres to the NetBeans platform architecture, it can be incorporated into other NetBeans platform applications as an id mapping provider without adaption or modification.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE: Our purpose is to propose the guideline for developing web services components from HL7 (Health Level 7) standard. METHODS: All business processes describing in HL7 are modeled using UML (Unified Modeling Language). Both UML diagrams and web services profiles can be presented with XML (Extensible Markup Language). Therefore we suggest a framework to derive web services from HL7 standards semi-automatically. RESULTS: We show that skeletal XML documents for web services can be generated from HL7 standards. Additionally we propose a way to program with Java for web services using given web service profiles. CONCLUSION: This paper presents the methodology of developing HL7-compatible electronic health record systems using web services.

ABSTRACT

Biological data and analysis tools are accumulated in distributed databases and web servers. For this reason, biologists who want to find information from the web should be aware of the various kinds of resources where it is located and how it is retrieved. Integrating the data from heterogeneous biological resources will enable biologists to discover new knowledge across the specific domain boundaries from sequences to expression, structure, and pathway. And inevitably biological databases contain noisy data. Therefore, consensus among databases will confirm the reliability of its contents. We have developed WeSAT that integrates distributed and heterogeneous biological databases and analysis tools, providing through Web Services protocols. In WeSAT, biologists are retrieved specific entries in SWISS-PROT/EMBL, PDB, and KEGG, which have annotated information about sequence, structure,and pathway. And further analysis is carried by integrated services for example homology search and multiple alignments. WeSAT makes it possible to retrieve real time updated data and analysis from the scattered databases in a single platform through Web Services.

ABSTRACT

Objective To build an architecture for medical information integration based on SOA(Service-Oriented Architecture)by analyzing the characters of medical information integration and the integration technology of SOA. Methods Virtual database was built by XML Schema mapping for conform share of medical data based on XML technology. The method and principle of Web Services for medical information were researched and built. Results Medical information systems could uniformly exchange information based on standards of Web Services, and the conform medical information share mode was realized. Conclusion The integration of medical information systems based on SOA not only has the characteristics of loose-coupling and customization agility but also makes information share possible because of conform mode.

ABSTRACT

Objective To integrate the present information systems such as HIS,EMR,LIS and UIS into an integrated medical information platform.Methods The drawbacks in point-to-point mode and mid-database mode were avoided in aspects of upgrading and maintaining,and medical data exchange technology was used to research the hot spots of hospital information construction.Results The practice has proved that the new technology in the Web Services and ZeroC ICE provides a more effective model for new generation middle ware technology and digital hospital construction.Conclusion Combined with the development of SOA technologies to analyze the development and evolution of technology,the construction direction of medical data exchange are put forward from double angle of technical and business.
