ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the application of PBL teaching method and brainstorming method in the training of medical students' medical record writing ability,in order to strengthen the cultivation of medical students' medical record writing ability.Methods 122 medical undergraduate interns of Grade 2010 majoring in clinical medicine in our hospital were taken as the research object,of which 60 were in the experimental group,62 were in the control group.PBL teaching combined with brainstorming method was used in the experimental group,while the control group used the traditional teaching method of teaching.After the end of the training course,data were analyzed using SPSS 19.0 software,count data and measurement data were analyzed using chi square test and t test to carry out the significant test between the two groups of data,the training effect was compared between the two groups.Results The results of questionnaire in the experimental group were significantly higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant,The experimental group theory test scores were higher than the control group[(84.28 ± 6.65) vs.(74.52 ± 6.75)],and the difference was statistically significant;The experimental group outstanding achievement ratio was higher than the control group,and the difference was statistically significant;The proportion of operation and non operative medical records in the experimental group were higher than that in the control group (P=0.005,P=0.004).Conclusion Combined application of PBL teaching method and brainstorming method plays a positive role in superposition and complementation.It gives full play to and mobilizes the students' enthusiasm and initiative,and the training effect is obviously superior to the traditional teaching method,therefore it is worth popularization and application in the training of students' medical record writing ability.

ABSTRACT

Objective To verify the effect of English newspaper reading teaching on improving students' writing ability. Methods Forty students in Binzhou Medical College choosing English news-paper reading as elective course were enrolled as experimental group while 40 students not choosing English newspaper reading as elective course were enrolled as control group. English newspaper read-ing was introduced into the selective course and www.pigai.org was employed to do online real-time composition writing. Differences in pre-test (before online real-time composition writing)and post-test (after online real-time composition writing) scores were compared by paired t test and P<0.05 was considered statistically different. Results There were statistical differences between pre-test and post-test scores in experimental group (t=-17.590,P =0.000). There was no statistical difference between pre-test and post-test scores in control group (t=1.347,P=0.186). There were statistical differences in accuracy,complexity,fluency and coherence of the composition between pre-test and post-test in ex-perimental group. Conclusions English newspaper reading teaching plays an important part in im-proving medical college students' writing ability. After a semester of English newspaper reading, the writing ability of students had obviously improved in language accuracy,complexity,fluency and co-herence.

ABSTRACT

Um dos pré-requisitos básicos para a aquisição de leitura e escrita é a consciência fonológica. Estudos têm comprovado que quando expostas a um treinamento formal de consciência fonológica as crianças ouvintes melhoram esta habilidade e, conseqüentemente, aprimoram o desenvolvimento da leitura e da escrita. Entretanto, não há evidências deste tipo de procedimento para crianças surdas. Este estudo objetivou estruturar um Programa de Treinamento de Consciência Fonológica para crianças surdas bilingües e verificar sua efetividade. Participaram do estudo quatro crianças, que foram avaliadas quanto à consciência fonológica antes e após o Treinamento de Consciência Fonológica. Foram verificados efeitos positivos nos níveis de consciência fonológica destas crianças após a realização do Treino. Este estudo fornece indícios de que um Treinamento de Consciência Fonológica pode aprimorar o desenvolvimento da consciência fonológica em crianças surdas usuárias de língua de sinais.


The phonological awareness is required for the acquisition of reading and writing ability. Hearing children increase their levels of phonological awareness and their reading and writing skills when exposed to a formal phonological awareness training program. The effect of this procedures in deaf children is unknown. The aim of this study was create a special phonological awareness training program for bilingual deaf children and to evaluate its effectiveness. Four children were phonological evaluated and selected to participate in the study. The results showed that, after the training, the children's phonological awareness was improved. This study provides evidences that a phonological awareness training can improve the development of phonological awareness in deaf children users of the Sign Language.


Un pre-requisito básico para la adquisición de la lectura y la escritura es la conciencia fonológica. Estudios han mostrado que los niños oyentes expuestos a un entrenamiento formal de conciencia fonológica mejoran estas habilidades. No existiendo evidencias de este procedimiento en niños sordos. El objetivo fue estructurar un Programa de Entrenamiento de Conciencia Fonológica para niños sordos bilingües y verificar su efectividad. Participaran del estudio cuatro niños, evaluados con relación a la conciencia fonológica antes y después del entrenamiento. Verificándose efectos positivos en su nivel de conciencia fonológica después del entrenamiento. Con el entrenamiento, mostramos una mejoría en el desarrollo de la conciencia fonológica en los niños sordos usuarios del lenguaje de señales.
