ABSTRACT
Chinese herbal medicinal formulation Yinzhihuang injection is widely used in clinic for jaundice and chronic liver diseases in eastern Asian countries. However, the pharmacologically active components and the underlying mechanism are unclear. In this study, 30 male ICR mice were randomly assigned into 6 groups： normal control, model control, chlorogenic acid group, geniposide group, baicalin group and wogonoside group. The liver function, liver pathological changes and bile acid metabolism-related gene expression in mice were assayed. The serum levels of ALT, AST, ALP, TBA in chlorogenic acid group (15.89±2.53), (18.32±2.56), (26.38±9.87) U•L⁻¹, (40.63±7.67) μmol•L⁻¹, respectively and geniposide group (20.54±2.36), (24.28±5.19), (35.09±5.03) U•L⁻¹, (42.86±7.11) μmol•L⁻¹, respectively were lower than those in the model control group (59.52±10.94), (128.37±17.97),(169.52±9.62) U•L⁻¹, (132.50±33.00) μmol•L⁻¹, respectively. Hematoxylin-eosin staining showed necrosis, infiltration of inflammation cell in chlorogenic acid group and geniposide group were milder than those in the model control group. Q-PCR analysis revealed the expression of bile acid metabolism-related genes was normalized after treatment with chlorogenic acid or geniposide. Chlorogenic acid and geniposide improved the liver injury and cholestasis effectively, and reversed the mRNA expression of bile acid metabolism-related genes induced by ANIT. So, chlorogenic acid and geniposide were protective for cholestasis, suggesting their pharmacodynamic effect in Yinzhihuang injection.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy of Yinzhihuang injection combined Oxymatrine injection for patients with acute icteric viral hepatitis.METHODS:100 patients with acute icteric viral hepatitis were randomly divided into two groups:50 patients in the the trial group were treated iv with Yinzhihuang injection 30 mL plus Oxymatrine sterile injection powder 600 mg qd for 30 days,and the another 50(control group) treated iv with Potassium magnesium aspartate 20 mL and Diammonium glycyrrhizinate injection 30 mL qd for 30 days.RESULTS:The cure rate and improvement rate in the trial group was signficantly higher than in the control group(P

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the quality of the methodology of clinical research on Yinzhihuang injection in the treatment of icteruc virus hepatitis.METHODS:The methodology quality of77pertinent literatures was evaluated and analyzed according to the quality assessment criteria in the evaluation manual of Cochrane Reviewer's Handbook 4.2.2.RESULTS:Only 4 literatures were up to the related standards,2 of which were randomized controlled trials(RCT)and other 2 were semi-randomized controlled trials(CCT).All of the 4 studies were low quality(Grade C)researches,in which the biases on selectivity,practice,measurement and wastage were highly possible.CONCLUSION:More randomized controlled trials of high quality are needed to obtain reliable evidences on Yinzhihuang injection in the treatment of icteric virus hepatitis.
ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE:To study the stability of Yinzhihuang injection(YZH) mixed with 5% glucose solution,10% glucose solution,glucose in normal saline,normal saline and Ringer's solution.METHODS:After YZH mixed with infusion fluid under room temperature,the contents of baicalin were determined with UV-spectrophotometry at different time periods within 24h,the apperance was observed,the pH values of baicalin were detected and identified by TLC.RESULTS:Under room temperature,after YZH mixed with Ringer's solution,the pH value of baicalin was markedly changed and a lot of white particles appeared;after YZH mixed with GNS,no changes of pH value and content of baicalin were found within 24h.When YZH mixed with other 3 kinds of infusion fluid,there were no changes in pH value and content of baicalin within 2h,however,in mixing with NS,the number of insoluble particles produced was beyond the standard.CONCLUSION:YZH should not be mixed with NS or Ringer's solution but it is compatible with 5%GS,10%GS and GNS,however,it should be mixed with them just before use and used up within 2h.
ABSTRACT
AIM:To establish the quality specification of Yinzhihuang Injection (extract of Herba Artemisiae scopariae,extract of Fructus Gardeniae,extract of Radix Scutellariae,extract of Flos Lonicerae Japonicae); METHODS:Extractum Artemisiae Scopariae、 Extractum Fructus gardeniae、 Extractum Flos lonicerae and Extractum Radix scutellariae were identified by TLC and were determined by HPLC. RESULTS:The average recoveries of chlorogenil、gardenoside、baicalin and p-hydroxyacetophenone were 99.8%,99.2%,100.1% and 99.9%,respectively.RSD were 0.81%,1.20%,1.90% and 0.55%,respectively.The TLC sports developed were fairly clear,and the blank test showed no interference. CONCLUSION:The method developed is simple and accurate with good reproducibility,and the method can be used for quality control of Yinzhihuang Injection.
