ABSTRACT

The number of adults seeking orthodontic treatment is increasing. Shortening the course of orthodontic treatment has become a research hotspot in recent years. Methods of accelerating tooth movement have been reported. Theoretical and clinical studies have confirmed that periodontal corticotomy is effective in accelerating tooth movement and increasing osteogenic potential. Many surgical techniques of periodontal corticotomy have been developed. This review summarizes the history of periodontal corticotomy and the development of the surgical techniques in recent years, thereby providing references for the clinical application of corticotomy.

ABSTRACT

Objective The research of craniocerebral injury and fracture healing has made slow progress, and the lack of reliable animal experimental model is one of the key factors. Therefore, the focus is to establish a craniocerebral injury and fracture model up to standard. The study aims to establish an appropriate animal model and evaluate the stability. Methods New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into four groups(n=12): control group, simple craniocerebral injury group(simple craniocerebral injury model), simple fracture group(simple right tibial fracture model), Brain trauma with fracture group (craniocerebral injury combined with fracture model). The neurological changes of the rabbits were observed.Furthermore, the healing of the fractures was observed at different time postoperatively by measuring the volume of callus and observing pathology. Results The neurological function scale (NSS) scores [(9.32±0.68), (8.01±0.56), (7.75±0)]6 h, 7 d and 1 month after craniocerebral injury surgery were significantly lower than those in the control group[(11.81±0.55),(12.07±0.42),(12.02±0.38)], and there was statistically significant difference (P<0.05).Compared with the callus volume of simple fracture group around 1 month after surgery, the callus volume of the craniocerebral injury combined with fracture group was significantly larger [(1.19±0.12) cm3 vs (1.81±0.13) cm3, P<0.05].Four weeks after surgery in the craniocerebral injury combined with fracture group, the trabecular bone was significantly increased in the local callus. After 8 weeks, the trabecular bone became more mature. Conclusion The animal model of craniocerebral injury combined with fracture healing is stable and reproducible. It meets the standard for studying the relationship of traumatic brain injury and fracture.

ABSTRACT

In Minas Gerais, a project known as Accelerate to Win is being carried out with the purpose of offering strategies for pedagogical intervention towards students with age-grade distortions. In this article, we discuss the planning of physical education curriculum in order to identify its organization and teaching practices of this project. The analytical framework used to understand this educational policy rests on the policy cycle of Stephen Ball and Richard Bowe (1992) apud Mainardes (2006). The corpus is constituted with documents of curricular design and teacher planning. We conclude that planning has not actually expressed how Physical Education contributes to the development of a project that aims to reduce school inequalities.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE:To screen the effective antioxidant in tretinion ointment METHODS:The six tretinion ointments were prepared with different antioxidants and the same base Based on the accelerated test design, the tretinion concentration was determined by HPLC RESULTS:The ointment with the antioxidant D exhibited the least oxidation rate CONCLUSION:Data from accelerated test demonstrated that the compound antioxidant D was the best one in this formula

ABSTRACT

Objective To establish a method for extracting compounds in Fructus Xanthii by accelerated solvent extraction(ASE),and to simultaneously determine the compounds by GC-MS.Methods The extraction was performed by ASE in which the conditions were optimized by orthogonal test, then the compounds in different extracts with different polarity were determined by GC-MS.Results The optimized conditions of ASE for compounds in Xanthium sibiricum fruits were as follows: petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and methanol as extracting solvent in turn in 33 mL extracting tube and the volume of solvent being 65 mL;6 g sample,9 MPa of extracting pressure,90 ℃of extracting temperature,5 min of extracting time, two cycles and one time for each extraction. The GC-MS conditions were as follows: 1 ?L extract was analysed by GC-MS(Shimadzu Model QP-2010) instrument fitted with a flame ionisation detector, separation was achieved on a DB-5ms,DB-17ms and DB-WAX column(J&W Scientific,30 m,0.25 ?m id film thickness,1.4 ?m,USA) respectively, the column temperature was maintained at 60 ℃for 3 min and increased to 250 ℃,the scanning range was from m/z 40 to m/z 700(scanning interval: 0.5 s),and the compounds were identified by searching NIST and Wiley registry of mass spectral data. Conclusion There are 61 compounds found in the petroleum ether extract and in which 48 are identified,22 in the ethyl acetate extract and 18 identified,as well as 34 in the methanol extract and 29 identified with the methods of optimized ASE combined with GC-MS.
