ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the feasibility of phase-rectified signal averaging applied for the evaluation of automatic nervous system activity in general anesthesia.Methods Forty-seven fe-males and 63 males aged 18-65 years,ASA falling into category Ⅰ or Ⅱ,scheduled for oral maxillo-facial surgery under general anesthesia were selected.The heart rate variability(HRV)signal was re-corded by Powerlab throughout the operation,and then it was sectioned into three segments with 5 minutes:pre-anesthesia(T0 ),means the waking state before the operation;intra-anesthesia(T1 ),the period of operation in 25-30 min;post-anesthesia(T2 ),the consciousness recovery state in the end of the operation.All indicators of HRV analysis was calculated in the time domain.SpO 2 ,MAP and BIS were recorded synchronously in the three periods.Results Compared with T0 ,DC, RMSSD, SDNN,SD1,SD2,logTP,logLF,logHF were significantly lower at T1 and T2 (P <0.05).In con-trast to T1 ,HR,MAP and BIS were significantly higher at T2 (P <0.05 ),DC,RMSSD,SDNN, SD1,SD2,logTP,logLF,logHF were significantly increased at T2 (P <0.05 ).There was positive relation between DC and RMSSD,SD1,logHF (r =0.905,0.909,0.932,respectively,P <0.01). Conclusion As 5 min-DC could indicate the character of PRSA,especially its specificity in showing vagus nerves activities,it is feasible that DC is used to observe the autonomic nerve activity intra op-eration.

ABSTRACT

The automatic nervous system(ANS) has 2 main branches:the sympathetic nervous system and the parasympathetic nervous system.The ANS controls mainly automatic bodily functions that are engaged in homeostasis.Autonomic dysfunction lead to many diseases,for example,orthostatic intolerance etc.The relationship between vitamin D and cardiovascular disease has becomes the focus of study gradually in recent years.1,25-dihydroxy vitamin D participates in the regulation of renin-angiotensin axis,vascular effects.Vitamin D deficiency triggers secondary hyperparathyroidism,promotes the development of hypertension,diabetes,dyslipidemia which can influence the incidence and prognosis of cardiovascular disease as well.The study confirmed that vitamin D deficiency is one of the risk factors of cardiac autonomic dysfunction diseases such as orthostatic intolerance.The mechanism is still not very clear.Supplement of vitamin D can offer an effective method to decrease cardiovascular disease risk in populations with low vitamin D status.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effect of the Yu-tone music to reduction of fear emotion. Methods 72 undergraduate students listened to Yu-tone Music or had a rest for ten minutes after elicitation of fear emotion by film clip;and measured from autonomic nerves system include skin conduction,BVP amplitude,heart rate,respiration,finger temperature and self-report subjective experience. Result 1.Compared with silence[(0.96±1.64)1/Ω,(0.85±1.73)min-1,(4.48±43.54)μV,(-5±15.37)min-1],music was associated with a significantly decreased skin resistance,respiration rate,heart rate and myoelectricity after fear emotion[(2.04±2.22)1/Ω,(0.09±1.79)min-1,(8.47±26.24) μV,(1.57±20.88) min-1,P <0.01,P <0.01,P <0.01,P <0.05]; 2.Compared with silence[(-0.37±2.71)μV, (0.13±1.16) ℃ ],music was enlarged BVP amplitude and skin temperature[(-0.53±3.8)μV,(-0.02±0.87)℃],but there was no significant difference( P >0.05,P >0.05).Conclusion Music advance the restore of negative emotion,and reduce excitability of the sympathetic and improve function of the parasympathetic nervous systems. Simultaneously,music significantly enhance the feelings of happiness as well as quietness of positive emotion.

ABSTRACT

This paper gives a general introduction to the application of virtual instrument technique to the sampling of ECG. MATLAB is called to realize HRV quantitative analysis and intelligentized analysis through LabVIEW. The experiment results show the reliability of HRV analyses. So, LabVIEW-based HRV analyses can be applied to early diagnoses, monitoring and prognostic assessments of some diseases and to detecting the balance condition of automatic nervous system.
