ABSTRACT

The education of traditional Chinese medicine appeared in the 1990s in Australia and has been under the supervision of Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) since 2011.Six institutions,including three comprehensive universities—University of Technology Sydney,Western Sydney University and Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University,have set up programs and offered the bachelor and the master of traditional Chinese medicine so far.This paper chiefly introduced and analyzed the current education status,size and characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine of the three universities with the provision of a reference for the international development and cooperation in traditional Chinese medical education with high quality.

ABSTRACT

Biology-related disciplines in medical school of comprehensive university are cur-rently confronted with some difficulties, including unclear position and indistinguishable characteris-tics. In this paper, we proposed that biology-related disciplines in medical school of comprehensive university should center on disease research, emphasize medical feature and give full play to its tech-nical advantage thus to provide technical support for basic medicine and clinical medicine. Mean-while, sources of multiple disciplines should be effectively integrated by breaking through the limitation of discipline and administrative system. An interdisciplinary molecular medicine platform was built up for researching and teaching.

The characteristic of talent cultivation for Chinese pharmacy in comprehensive university is interdisciplinary. In order to improve the teaching quality of Chinese pharmacy,we should attach importance to following these aspects:laying stress on general introduction and chapter overview,sifing teaching parts in textbook ,and integrating with research progress of traditional Chinese drug.

ABSTRACT

This article discusses 4 methods of deepening reformation entirely to improve quality of running a school in medical college in comprehensive university,such as how to enhance framework adjustment of specialty and construct scientific and reasonable framework of specialty,how to strengthen basic foundation of teaching,improve condition of running a school,how to deepen teaching reformation and reform pattern of students'cultivation,and how to strengthen teaching management and establish system of quality control.All these methods were detailed in this article to offer certain practical experience for other similar medical colleges in comprehensive universities.
