ABSTRACT

BackgroundMost of the researches on continuous nursing education is from the perspective of patients, and there is a lack of studies on the impact of continuous nursing education on patient caregivers, and the care quality of caregivers is closely related to postoperative rehabilitation status of the patients. ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of continuous nursing education on anxiety relief of caregivers of patients with all-robot coronary artery bypass surgery, and to provide references for improving caregivers' anxiety and promoting patients' recovery. MethodsA total of 120 caregivers of patients with all-robot coronary artery bypass surgery at the First and Sixth Center of 301 Chinese PLA General Hospital were included from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2022. The caregivers were randomly divided into study group and control group with 60 cases in each group by systematic random sampling method. Before the patient discharge from the hospital, all caregivers received routine nursing education. The study group received continuous nursing education for 4 weeks after patient discharged. Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) was used to evaluate the two groups before and one month after discharge. ResultsOne month after discharge, SAS score in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group [(57.77±14.08) vs. (70.19±13.60), t=-4.913, P<0.01], and the proportion of SAS score above 60 in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group (41.67% vs. 75.00%, χ2=-13.714, P<0.01). ConclusionContinuous nursing education may help reduce the level of anxiety in caregivers of patients with all-robot coronary artery bypass surgery.

ABSTRACT

Objective To evaluate the effects of continuous nursing on the therapy of type 2 diabetics retinopathy. Methods A total of 100 DR patients hospitalized in our hospital from June 2015 to January 2016 were enrolled, and they were randomly divided into 2 groups:50 in the intervention group, and the other 50 as controls. The control group received routine nursing, while the intervention group received continuous nursing on the basis of routine nursing. Two groups were both provided nursing satisfaction questionnaire and the Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activitiesby a certain personnel. Relative evaluation indices were collected at the time when the patients were discharged and 1 year, 2years after that. The differences of nursing satisfaction, self-management ability, fasting blood glucose, blood glucose 2 hours after meal, visual acuity and readmission rate between two groups were compared with statistical methods. Results The fasting blood glucose, postprandial 2 hour blood glucoseafter one and two years were (5.71 ± 0.64), (9.42 ± 0.86), (5.89 ± 0.64) and (9.58 ± 0.80)mmol/L, respectively. The results ofthe control group were (6.81 ± 0.95), (11.32 ± 1.50), (7.24 ± 0.81) and (12.63 ± 2.17)mmol/L, respectively, and there were significant difference between 2 groups (t =-9.306--6.814, all P<0.05). The score of Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities score of the intervention group at the end of the follow-up period was 53.74 ± 7.82, while that in the control group was 42.02 ± 5.07, and the difference between the 2 groups was statistically significant (t = 8.883, P< 0.05).The rate of visual acuity, visual acuity after 1 and 2 years and nursing satisfaction were 2% (1/50), 6% (3/50) and 100% (50/50) in the intervention group, and those in the control group were 18% (9/50), 32% (16/50), 78% (39/50), with a significant difference between 2 groups (Z =-2.653,-3.297,-5.541, P<0.05). The readmission rate patients in the intervention group was 2%(1/50), while the control group was 28%(14/50), and there was significant difference between 2 groups (χ2=13.43, P<0.05). Conclusions When continuous nursing care was applied to type 2 diabetic retinopathy, the subjective initiative of patients and their family would be mobilized, and the patients′self-management ability would be improved, thus helped to control blood glucose andvisual acuity, and consequently promotes the prognosis while delays the progress of diabetic retinopathy, reduces the incidence of blinding due to DR, decreases the rate of readmission, reduces the economic burden of patients, improves patients′satisfaction.Continuous nursing care has great application value in medicine.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of continuous nursing intervention on post-hospital rehabilitation of chil-dren with cerebral palsy. Methods A total of 70 children with cerebral palsy treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinx-iang Medical University from February 2016 to February 2017 were selected and divided into observation group and control group according to nursing measures, with 35 cases in each group. The patients in the control group were given routine nursing intervention, and the patients in the observation group were given continuous nursing intervention after discharge. The fine mo-tor was evaluated by Peabody-2 developmental motor scale at discharge and one year after discharge. The clinical effect was e-valuated one year after discharge. Results The score of grasping ability and visual movement comprehensive ability of the children in the observation group was 41. 15 ± 5. 31 and 102. 23 ± 17. 42 respectively at discharge, and it was 48. 12 ± 3. 54 and 128. 22 ± 11. 25 respectively one year after discharge. The score of grasping ability and visual movement comprehensive a-bility of the children in the control group was 41. 22 ± 5. 22 and 102. 56 ± 17. 31 respectively at discharge, and it was 43. 21 ± 4. 52 and 110. 52 ± 15. 37 respectively at one year after discharge. There was no significant difference in the scores of grasping ability and visual motor comprehensive ability between the two groups at discharge(P > 0. 05). The scores of grasping ability and visual motor comprehensive ability at the time point of one year after discharge were significantly higher than those at dis-charge in the two groups(P < 0. 05). The scores of grasping ability and visual motor comprehensive ability in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group at the time point of one year after discharge(P < 0. 05). One year after discharge, the total effective rate of rehabilitation treatment in the observation group and the control group was 94. 29%(33 / 35)and 71. 43%(25 / 35)respectively,and the total effective rate in the observation group was significantly high-er than that in the control group(χ2 =6. 440,P <0. 05). Conclusion The continuous nursing intervention can significantly im-prove the grasping ability and visual motor comprehensive ability, and promote the recovery of children with cerebral palsy.
