ABSTRACT
Objective To explore the role of the medical engineering department in integration of the health care,nursing and medical technology departments.Methods The medical engineering department and integration of health care,nursing and medical technology departments were introduced from the aspects of concept,role,characteristic,working mode and etc.Results The medical engineering department contributed to enhancing medical service,medical safety and patient satisfaction,while the role needed strengthening.Conclusion Some measures are put forward to the medical engineering department during integration of health care,nursing and medical technology departments from the aspects of department positioning,examination and assessment,management mode and etc.

This paper discusses the development prospects and existing difficulties in medical engineering department. It presents the relative practice,elaborates the condition and development direction of medical engineering department in military hospital and analyses the difficulties such as the lack of talents,insufficient attention from leaders and the serious drain of talents induced by the imbalance development of reform.

The military hospital's department of medical engineering is limited by authorized size and system.The existing problems in the construction of department of medical equipment are analyzed and some suggestions are given.The construction of department of medical equipment should be made up of three parts: equipment repairing department,medical metrology department and archives department.The construction is also discussed in such aspects as the rules,methods,goals,human resource management,engineer's training program,and reparing mode.
