ABSTRACT

Objective: To analyze and compare the volatile components of Jiuwei Qianghuo pills, granules and oral liquid. Methods: The volatile components of Jiuwei Qianghuo pills, granules and oral liquid were analyzed and compared by the head-space solid-phase microextraction and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(HS-SPME-GC-MS), the relative percentage of each component was calculated using the area normalization method, and the principal component analysis was also performed. Results: A total of 90 kinds of volatile components were identified from Jiuwei Qianghuo pills, accounting for 97.19% of the total volatile components; 27 kinds of volatile components were identified from Jiuwei Qianghuo granules, accounting for 92.92% of the total volatile components;22 kinds of volatile components were identified from Jiuwei Qianghuo oral liquid, accounting for 87.60% of the total volatile components. A total of 111 volatile components were identified in the three preparations, of which 6 were common components, but the contents of the common components were different. The specific components of the pills, granules and oral liquid were 68, 8 and 13, respectively. Moreover, the comprehensive scores of the three dosage forms in the principal component analysis showed a large difference, with the high, middle and low values for the pills, granules and oral liquid, respectively. Conclusion: The composition and content of volatile components were different in the Jiuwei Qianghuo pill, granule and oral liquid preparations. From the point of view of the volatility, the comprehensive score of Jiuwei Qianghuo pills is higher than that of granules and oral liquid.

ABSTRACT

@#A qualitative analysis was developed to identify different ingredients from three Ginkgo biloba preparations(including Yinxingye Diwan, extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves tablets and Yinxingtongzhi Diwan)based on high resolution mass spectrometry and metabolomics technology. An XSELECT HSS T3(4. 6 mm×150 mm, 3. 5 μm)column was used for separation, with the mobile phases consisting of acetonitrile and water containing 0. 1% formic acid. The column temperature was set at 40 °C. Negative ion mode was used for mass spectrometric data acquisition. Through partial least squares projection to latent structure-discriminant analysis(PLS-DA), we firstly found the different compounds among different Ginkgo biloba preparations. Subsequently, the compounds displaying different abundance levels via database searching and literature matching were identified. Finally, we identified 21 different compounds between the extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves tablets and Yinxingye Diwan, which mostly belong to the organic acids and flavonols families. Quantitative analysis showed that the ingredients which had higher abundance in extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves tablets were mainly organic acids, whereas those exhibiting higher levels in Yinxingye Diwan are flavonols. We also identified 12 different ingredients between the Yinxingye Diwan and Yinxingtongzhi Diwan, which were flavonols, sciadopitysin and organic acids. The results of this study are useful for studying different chemical constituents from distinct Ginkgo biloba preparations.

ABSTRACT

To evaluate the promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis effects of Danshen-Honghua(DH) herb pair with different preparations (alcohol, 50% alcohol and water) on blood rheology and coagulation functions in acute blood stasis rats, and optimize the best preparation method of DH based on principal component analysis(PCA), hierarchical cluster heatmap analysis and multi-attribute comprehensive index methods. Ice water bath and subcutaneous injection of adrenaline were both used to establish the acute blood stasis rat model. Then the blood stasis rats were administrated intragastrically with DH (alcohol, 50% alcohol and water) extracts. The whole blood viscosity(WBV), plasma viscosity(PV), erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) and haematocrit(HCT) were tested to observe the effects of DH herb pair with different preparations and doses on hemorheology of blood stasis rats; the activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT), thrombin time(TT), prothrombin time(PT), and plasma fibrinogen(FIB) were tested to observe the effects of DH herb pair with different preparations on blood coagulation function and platelet aggregation of blood stasis rats. Then PCA, hierarchical cluster heatmap analysis and multi-attribute comprehensive index methods were all used to comprehensively evaluate the total promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis effects of DH herb pair with different preparations. The hemorheological indexes and coagulation parameters of model group had significant differences with normal blank group. As compared with the model group, the DH herb pair with different preparations at low, middle and high doses could improve the blood hemorheology indexes and coagulation parameters in acute blood stasis rats with dose-effect relation. Based on the PCA, hierarchical cluster heatmap analysis and multi-attribute comprehensive index methods, the high dose group of 50% alcohol extract had the best effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. Under the same dose but different preparations, 50% alcohol DH could obviously improve the hemorheology and blood coagulation function in acute blood stasis rats. These results suggested that DH herb pair with different preparations could obviously ameliorate the abnormality of hemorheology and blood coagulation function in acute blood stasis rats, and the optimized preparation of DH herb pair on promoting blood effects was 50% alcohol extract, providing scientific basis for more effective application of the DH herb pair in modern clinic medicine.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To observe the antibacterial activity of different preparations of 10 kinds of Chinese traditional medicine to Taphylococcus aureus,Staphylococcus epidermidis,Bacillus coli,Bacillus typhosus and Bacillus aeruginosus in vitro-experiment. Methods:Liquid agar dilution method was used. Results:The antibacterial activity of coptis chinensis is the best, scutellaria is the second. The antibacterial activity of tincture is better than that of decoction. Conclusions:The antibacterial activity of coptis chinensis is best during the 10 kinds of Chinese traditional medicine, and that of tincture is the best during different preparations.
