ABSTRACT

The present study was conducted to investigate the effect of electrical and thermal systems optimization on energy consumption in broiler farms. Experiments were conducted in 4 different climates (cold, hot, dry, and temperate) with four treatments (4 broiler farms in each region) and 5 iterations (5 rearing periods per farm) on the Ross 308 strain of broiler chicken in a completely randomized basic design. The results showed that the solutions applied in cold and dry climates had a significant effect on reducing energy consumption (P<0.05). In the hot climate, although the reduction in energy consumption was observed after the application of the solutions, the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). Also, the application of solutions in temperate climates created a significant difference in the specific amount of thermal energy consumption per kilo of meat and total energy (P<0.05). Overall, the results of the present experiment showed that optimizing the electrical and thermal systems of broiler houses could reduce energy consumption in all climates.(AU)

ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the practicability of application of fault tree analysis in innovation to electrical system of SL-IE radiotherapy simulator. Methods The structure and principle of the electrical system were analyzed, the fault tree for the electrical system was built, and the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to the fault tree were made. The electrical system was innovated with effective redundant method, and the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis were made after innovation.Theoretical analysis and the actual validation were made for the fault tree of electrical system after innovation. Finally, several notes were provided for the innovation to the similar medical equipments. Results The fault tree analysis method was applied to innovating the electrical system, and theoretical analysis indicated that the failure probability to total system reduced obviously.Actually, the actual effect after innovation also validated the correctness of the theoretical analysis. Conclusion Application of fault tree analysis in innovation to electrical system of SL-IE radiotherapy simulator is practical. But,the selection to the innovation event, the change to maintainence after innovation and the event to innovate carefully should be paid attention to.

ABSTRACT

Objective To design an electrical system of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter for children and adults uses. Methods The shock wave kernel parameters of child energy section of Dornier Delta Ⅱ lithotripter were tested such as peak sound pressure, pressure pulse width and pressure pulse rise time, and then energy calibration was executed for HK.ESWL008 child extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter to make the kernel parameters of the two lithotripters the same or similar to each other. An electrical system was designed with PLC system as the core control unit, involving in wave source 3D motion, large and small C-arms motion, water circulation system,B-type ultrasound positioning system,high-frequency X-ray imaging system,high-voltage condenser charging and discharging system, console and bedside-box-controlled display system as well as electromagnetic compatibility. Results Within A,B,C,1 and 2 energy sections for child lithotripsy the maximum and average differences between the kernel parameters of the two lithotripters were 7.1% and 3.8% respectively. There was no difference between the clinical experience by the two lithotripters, and HK.ESWL-008 child extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter passed EMC and safety detections by Guangdong Medical Devices Quality Surveillance and Test Institute of CFDA.Conclusion HK.ESWL-008 child extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter can be used for children lithotripsy clinically.
