ABSTRACT
Bajo el auspicio del Capítulo Provincial de la Sociedad de Medicina General Integral, del 23-26 de mayo de 2018, se celebraron en Santiago de Cuba la XI Jornada Científica Provincial y II Jornada Territorial de los servicios médicos del Ministerio del Interior, con el objetivo de fomentar el intercambio de experiencias, el diálogo y la comunicación científica entre los participantes. En los eventos participaron 117 delegados y 25 invitados, entre ellos autoridades y personalidades de la ciencia, la administración y la docencia, médicos, residentes, así como profesionales de diversas especialidades. Las temáticas analizadas estuvieron relacionadas con la medicina penitenciaria y los programas de salud desarrollados en el entorno.
Under the auspice of the Comprehensive General Medicine Society Provincial Branche, the XI Provincial Scientific Day and II Territorial Journey of the Ministry of Interior Medical Services took place in Santiago de Cuba from May 23-26, 2018, with the objective of fomenting the exchange of experiences, the dialogue and scientific communication among the participants. In the events 117 delegates participated and 25 guests, among them authorities and personalities of science, administration and teaching representatives, doctors, residents, as well as professionals of several specialties. The topics analyzed were related with the penitentiary medicine and the health programs developed in the environment

En Santiago de Cuba se realizó el I Taller Territorial de Ortodoncia Interdisciplinaria del 29 de septiembre al 3 de noviembre del 2016, auspiciado por el Capítulo Provincial de Estudios Ortodóncicos y con el objetivo principal de actualizar sobre la interdisciplinariedad en el diagnóstico y tratamiento de los pacientes con problemas de oclusión. Se contó con la participación de 75 delegados estomatólogos generales, ortodoncistas, protesistas, periodontólogos, psicólogos y alergistas -- entre otras especialidades médicas y estomatológicas afines --, procedentes de 5 provincias orientales: Santiago de Cuba, Granma, Las Tunas, Guantánamo y Holguín, quienes intercambiaron ideas y experiencias sobre tan importante tema.
The first Territorial workshop of Interdisciplinary Orthodontics was carried out in Santiago de Cuba from September 29th to November 3rd, 2016, promoted by the Provincial Chapter of Orthodontics Studies and with the main objective of updating on the interdisciplinarity in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with occlusion problems. It had the participation of 75 delegates, among them comprehensive integral dentists, orthodontists, prosthesists, periodontologists, psychologists and alergists -- among other similar medical and stomatological specialties --, coming from 5 eastern provincies: Santiago de Cuba, Granma, Las Tunas, Guantánamo and Holguín who exchanged ideas and experiences on such an important topic.

A pesquisa em Terapia Ocupacional no Brasil caminha com restrições importantes no que concerne ao acesso a financiamentos e à sua institucionalização no sistema de pós-graduação. Para a compreensão desse quadro, busca-se articular a realização do II Seminário Nacional de Pesquisa em Terapia Ocupacional: Disseminação e Integração da Atividade de Pesquisa na Área, ocorrido em 2012, na Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, e a sistematização de dados de outubro de 2013 sobre 30 Grupos de Pesquisa cadastrados no CNPq (Subárea Fisioterapia e Terapia Ocupacional). Apresenta-se a síntese de conferências, debates e relato dos 10 Grupos de Trabalho do evento, em que foram divulgados 106 trabalhos, o que representa um crescimento da pesquisa na área. Os dados dos Grupos de Pesquisa indicam uma pequena institucionalidade acadêmica, com apenas 88 pesquisadores cadastrados, 34 deles orientadores em programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu. Os terapeutas ocupacionais reunidos no Rio de Janeiro consideraram fundamental a realização dos Seminários e definiram a terceira edição para 2014, na Universidade Federal da Paraíba, para continuidade das estratégias coletivas para a plena institucionalização acadêmica da terapia ocupacional brasileira.
Research on Occupational Therapy in Brazil has been conducted with relevant restrictions in relation to access to funding and to its institutionalization in the graduate system. To understand this scenario, efforts have been made to articulatethe II National Seminar of Occupational Therapy Research: Promoting and Integrating Research in the Area, held in 2012, at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and the systematizationof the October 2013 data on the 30 Research Groups registered with the CNPq (Sub area of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy). The synthesis of the conferences, debates and reportsof the ten Work Groups of the event are presented, in which 106 papers were divulged, representing an increase in research in the area. Data from the Research Groups indicate small academic institutionalization, with only 88 registered researchers, of which 34 were professor advisors in graduate programs (stricto sensu). The occupational therapists gathered in Rio de Janeiro considered fundamental to hold the Seminars and determinedthe third edition for 2014, at the Federal University of Paraíba, to continue the collective strategies aiming the full academic institutionalization of occupational therapy in Brazil.
