ABSTRACT

Objective@#To investigation on the occupational hazardous factors exposed to the female workers, from 14 prefectures and municipalities in Gansu province.@*Methods@#The survey was conducted from June to October 2015. A total of 8 538 female employees from 30 enterprises in 14 prefectures and cities of the province were selected by cluster sampling method. The occupational hazard factors were investigated and analyzed statistically.@*Results@#The survey found that the proportion of female workers in Gansu province who are exposed to chemical and physical harmful factors at the same time is relatively large. Most female workers are exposed to 2-4 occupational hazards, and women who are exposed to 3 and 4 chemical harmful factors account for 28.8 % and 38.0 %, respectively. Women workers who were exposed to two or three physical factors at the same time accounted for 59.44 per cent, while 61.5% were exposed to two biological factors at the same time. The number of female workers exposed to two or three physical factors at the same time and the number of four and five physical factors at the same time after being tested by χ2. The difference is statistically significant (χ2= 8.17, P<0.05) . The difference in the number of female workers who simultaneously exposed 3 and 4 chemical factors and simultaneously exposed 2 and 5 or more chemical factors is statistically significant (χ2=11.26, P<0.05) . There was no significant difference in the exposure of female workers to biological factors.@*Conclusion@#This survey shows that the exposure of female workers in Gansu Province to occupational hazards is not optimistic. We should strengthen enterprise supervision and improve the working environment and conditions of female workers.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the prevalence of traumatic event exposure and its relationship with major depressive disorder (MDD) in community population in Tianjin. Methods A multi-stage cluster random sampling method was used for the general health questionnaire (GHQ-12) in the population aged above 18 in 15538 families of 18 counties in Tianjin city. Among the 11748 subjects who completed the survey, they were divided into the high-risk group (100%), medium risk group (40%) and low risk group (10%) according to the risk level of mental disorders. Finally, 4438 residents were interviewed with the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders Fourth Edition (DSM-Ⅳ) axisⅠdiagnostic clinical interview version (SCID-Ⅰ/P). The prevalence of respondents exposed to traumatic events and MDD was calculated. Logistic regression analysis was applied to obtain the risk factors of MDD. Results A total of 469 people experienced traumatic events in 4438 subjects, and the adjusted total exposure rate was 10.3%. Seventy-six people suffered from MDD in 469 cases with traumatic events, and the adjusted total exposure rate was 6.7%. The prevalence of MDD was 3.3% in people with no traumatic events. Logistic regression analysis showed that female (OR=1.77,95%CI:1.27-2.46), widowed/divorced and experienced a traumatic event (OR=2.21,95%CI:1.46-3.34) were the risk factors of MDD. Conclusion The total exposure rate of traumatic events is 10.3% in community residents in Tianjin, and the prevalence of MDD is related with the traumatic event exposure. It is suggested that the whole society should mobilize and participate extensively, and pay more attention to the psychological health problems of high risk population.

ABSTRACT

The study was performed on 26 AO/dioxin exposed patients in the war. Product Naturenz was used to prevent and reduce the damage of polluted substances, and to increase detoxifying process, antioxidant, improve health. Results: Antioxidant enzymes were improved after patients used naturenz with the dose of 2g/day in 2 months (GPX enzyme activity improvement accounted for 57.7%, SOD enzyme activity tented to increase to normal value which accounted for 38.5%, peroxidase activity improvement accounted for 61,8%). Especially, in total antioxidant activity, Hemoglobin content and SH-group content improved significantly (increase by 76.9%). Therefore, naturenz have antioxidant effect and improve health for the patients
