ABSTRACT

Objective:To evaluate the clinical curative effect of invigorating the spleen and kidney and regulating menstrual cycle treament combined with Dong's extra-point acupuncture on polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).Methods:According to random number table method, 70 patients with PCOS meeting inclusion criteria in the hospital were divided into western medicine group (23 cases), TCM group (23 cases) and combination group (24 cases) between January and December 2020. The western medicine was treated with ethinylestradiol and cyproterone acetate tablets, TCM group was treated with invigorating the spleen and kidney and regulating menstrual cycle treatment, and combination group was treated with invigorating the spleen and kidney and regulating menstrual cycle treatment and Dong's extra-point acupuncture. All the three groups were treated continuously for 3 menstrual cycles. Before and after treatment, levels of testosterone, estradiol, FSH and LH were detected by full-automatic immunoluminescence analyzer. The ovaries were detected by color Doppler ultrasound diagnostic apparatus. The ovarian volume, number of follicles and adverse reactions were recorded. The clinical curative effect was evaluated. Results:The differences in total response rate among western medicine group, TCM group and combination group were statistically significant [52.17% (12/23), 60.87% (14/23) vs. 87.50% (21/24), P<0.05]. After treatment, levels of testosterone [(1.02±0.12) μg/L vs. (1.23±0.25) μg/L, (1.46±0.19) μg/L, F=30.47], estradiol [(40.18±12.31) ng/L vs. (48.62±12.58) ng/L, (50.73±12.37) ng/L, F=4.78] and LH [(6.87±2.45) U/L vs. (8.28±2.29) U/L, (8.54±2.51) U/L, F=3.26] in combination group were significantly lower than those in the TCM group and western medicine group ( P<0.05). After treatment, ovarian volume [(7.05±2.34) m 3vs. (8.79±2.11) m 3, (9.12±2.18) m 3, F=5.97] in combination group was significantly lower than that in TCM group and western medicine group ( P<0.05), and number of follicles (<10 mm) (8.28±2.24 vs. 9.67±2.40, 10.15±2.64, F=3.77) was significantly lower than that of TCM group and western medicine group ( P<0.05). During treatment, difference in incidence of adverse reactions among western medicine group, Tiaozhou group and combination group was not statistically significant [21.7% (5/23), 13.0% (3/23) vs. 8.3% (2/24), P>0.05]. Conclusion:The invigorating the spleen and kidney and regulating menstrual cycle treatment combined with Dong's extra-point acupuncture can regulate levels of sex hormones, promote follicles development and ovulation, and improve ovarian morphology of PCOS patients safely.

ABSTRACT

Objective]To explore Professor YE Jin’s clinical experiences for dwarfism treatment based on spleen-insufficiency constitution related theory. [Methods]From the concept of dwarfism based on TCM, etiology and pathogenesis, key symptoms of spleen-insufficiency constitution and features medication to analyse the academic perspective and clinical experience of Professor YE Jin in the treatment of dwarfism, and list 1 proven case.[Results]Professor YE Jin thinks there’re 5 types constitutions of dwarfism, and attaches importance to adjust the unbalanced constitution of the patients. She thinks spleen-insufficiency constitution is basis of the other four types. She does well in enlivening and invigorating the spleen and activating spleen-energy.[Conclusion] Professor YE Jin has unique clinical experience for dwarfism treatment based on spleen-insufficiency constitution related theory, with significant effect.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effects of Bupi-Guhuo decoction in treating astringent Ⅰ,Ⅱ degree of female stress urinary incontinence. Methods 70 Women patients with stress urinary incontinence in outpatient of urology of Xiyuan Hospital of CACMS from December 2012 to October 2011 were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, with 35 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with Bupi-Guhuo decoction, twice daily,1package per time; while the patients in the control group were treated with pelvic floor muscle training therapy. Both groups were treated for 4 weeks. Results The score of ICS-Q-SF and the amount of urinary incontinence comparison:2 weeks after treatment [the treatment group was (6.42~0.79) and (8.85~ 1.07) g respectively; the control group was (6.81~0.91) and (9.35~ 1.23) g respectively].Both groups had obvious improvement than before the treatment [the treatment group (7.73 ~ 1.52) and (12.92 ~2.08) g respectively, the control group was (7.71~ 1.48)and (13.28~2.43) g respectively] (P<0.01).4 weeks after the treatment [treatment group was(2.68~0.91)and(2.62~1.08) g respectively, the control group was (6.25~0.81) and (8.02~ 1.32)g respectively].Compared with the effects of 2 weeks after treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01) in the treatment group, while with no significant change (P>0.05) in the control group. At the 2 weeks,4 weeks treatment, the effects in the treatment group and the control group had statistical difference (P<0.05 or 0.01).(②)Clinical curative effect comparison:After treatment, the total effective rate was 67.7% (21/31) in treatment group and 37.0% (10/27) in the control group, showing significant difference (P=0.000,P<0.01).Conclusion Bupi-Guhuo decoction had better therapeutic effects than pelvic floor muscle training in the treatment of female Ⅰ,Ⅱ degree of stress urinary incontinence, also with a time-effect relationship.

ABSTRACT

Objective To observe the effect of serum containing Qiangjijianli oral liquid in-vitro proliferation of rat mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). Methods Rat mesenchymal stem cells dissociated from the bone marrow by density gradient method were cultured. MSCs were identified by marking of bromodeoxyuridine (Brdu) and staining of CD44, CD45. Experimental group was cultivated with serum containing Qiangjijianli oral liquid and control group with blank serum. Optical absorption value of MSCs was stained by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT). Results Serum containing Qiangjijianli oral liquid at different concentrations could promote the proliferation of MSCs, the difference being significant in comparison with the control group (P

ABSTRACT

Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect and possible mechanism of Jiangzhi Tongmai Fang(JZTMF) on preventing and curing atherosclerosis with methods of invigorating the spleen, dispersing phlegm and dissolving blood stasis. Methods: C57/BL-ApoE knock out mice were raised with cholesterol animal feeds for 90 days to form the experimental models of hypercholesterolemia and atherosclerotic plaque. At the same time the TCM group was given complex prescription of Chinese materia medica continuously for 90 days. The plasma Level of triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C) and high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) were measured by the end of experiment.Light microscope was adopted to assess the degree of pathologic damage of arterial wall. Results: Complex prescription of Chinese materia medica JZTMF with methods of invigorating the spleen, dispersing phlegm and dissolving blood stasis could inhibit the upgrade of plasma TC,LDL-C.Conclusion: JZTMF could cure experimental hyperlipemia and inhibit the formation of atherosclerotic plaques.
