ABSTRACT
Se realizó una evaluación de 10 años desde 1988-1999, utilizando el politetrafluoretileno ptfe como nuevo material sintético en cirugía de nariz, tanto estética como reconstructiva considerando al ptfe como un material de la mejor aceptabilidad biológica por parte del cuerpo humano permitiéndonos obtener resultados altamente satisfactorios luego del estudio de 90 pacientes con un índice de fracasos mínimo, permiten considerarlo como una alternativa de elección muy importante, en este caso especifico, en cirugías nasales.
An evaluation during 1988 and 1999 has been made for the use of politetrafluorethilen ptfe, as a new synthetic material for nose surgery, including aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. It is our opinion that it has been very receptive by the human body, giving us highly satisfactory results after reviewing the patient progress with a low margin of failures and we consider it as an alternative to become an important factor in nose surgery.
