ABSTRACT

This article summarizes the strategy and effects of preventing and controlling the epidemic in the evacuation support of the aero medical evacuation team of the 7th peacekeeping medical contingent of China to Mali, to actively respond to the coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19 )epidemic based on existing medical conditions and further provide scientific evidence for guaranteeing military medical service in public health emergencies.

ABSTRACT

Objective To develop a new type of stretcher to meet the needs of medical evacuation in high altitude region. Methods The stretcher was composed of a bearing plate, a protective shield, a control unit and external accessories. An enclosed space was formed by the shield and plate, and there were an air inlet and outlet in the shield to regulate the pressure and oxygen content in the space. An electric blanket was put on the plate, which was combined with the control unit to execute dynamic monitoring and control of the temperature and oxygen content in the shield. Results The stretcher enhanced the casualty safety during transport so that the effect of high altitude on casualty conditions could be decreased effectively. Conclusion The stretcher can be used for casualty transport in high-altitude conditions while reduce the casualty riks.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the factors influencing the rescuing efficiency of the Navy by dynamics modeling and simulation analysis of long-distance medical evacuation system on the high seas. Methods We established a long-distance medical evacuation system dynamics model on the high seas using system dynamics modeling, including the main circuit analysis and causal analysis. Carrying capacity of the Overseas Friendship Hospital was set at 100 persons per day; the single peak type inflow system of the wounded was selected, with the system peaks being 500, 200, and 100 persons per day, and then the system was simulated. Results The simulating results showed that when the number of the wounded was beyond the carrying capacity of the Overseas Friendship Hospital, more wounded were unable to get medical treatment or the treatment tended to be delayed; when the number was in the range of carrying capacity, the wounded could obtain a comfortable treatment and leave the system quickly. Conclusion The carrying capacity of Overseas Friendship Hospital is a key factor of determining the number of the wounded in this system.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study and construct related models of medical evacuation of the wounded during earthquake relief. Methods Based on the Agent model, the boundary of the medical evacuation system for the wounded was determined and the Agent model system was established according to the medical service theory about medical evacuation of the wounded during earthquake relief.Using Agent-based modeling, the structure, attribute, related behavior and function of key Agent models were analyzed and the model structure was presented. Results and Conclusion The Agent model system including 11 Agent models is divided into business Agent modeling, assistant Agent modeling and environment Agent modeling.Six key models are built, and the interaction and coordination mechanisms of various types Agent models are established.

ABSTRACT

In 2014,serious Ebola fever epidemic broke out in West Africa .Afterwards, the US transported two Ebola patients from Liberia by air, which aroused world wide concern .During the aeromedical evacuation , there were lots of tech-nical problems and management procedures involved .First, the US government toke emergency measures for the patients in a local hospital ,which made evacuation possible .Secondly , the US CDC and other government departments coordinated this matter during and after the evacuation .Finally, upon arrival at home the two patients received careful isolation and treat-ment.Thus, the successful aeromedical evacuation is instructive for us .

ABSTRACT

Systematic analysis was used to analyze the medical evacuation systems for UN peacekeeping operations , in-volving the core of the system-people oriented , the element-medical personnel , aero evacuation equipment and communica-tion network, the structure-commanding level and operational level , the cure of injury, quick mobility and commanding in-teraction, and administrovtive inefficiency indistinct terms of responsibility .Furthermore, several proposals on the transfor-mation of native medical evacuation system are presented .

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore how to reasonably deploy the wounded and sick region on the medical evacuation ship. Methods Three models of the wounded and sick region were set up according to different demand.Simulated exercises were imitated and medical staff and experts selected reasonable models. Results Most medical staff and experts selected the model which deployed the wounded and sick region according to whether the condition of an injury should be treated. Conclusion It is scientific and reasonable that the wounded and sick region is deployed according to whether the condition of an injury should be treated.
