ABSTRACT

Objective@#To explore the effectiveness of multidisciplinary cooperation model-based preoperative visit on the and psychological stress of patients who undergo surgery for the first time.@*Methods@#A total of 100 patients who undergo surgery for the first time in the Central Hospital of Xiaogan between July 2018 and December 2018 were enrolled in the present study. Fifty patients were assigned to the research group and another 50 patients to the control group according to the random number table method. Patients in the control group received traditional one-to-one peroperative visit, while multidisciplinary cooperation model-based preoperative visit was carried out in the research group. The changes of fear scores, Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) scores, stress and coping mode as well as knowledge related to operation were compared before and after visit intervention.@*Results@#VAS scores in the research group after preoperative visit (6.05±1.11) and enter the operating room (7.32±1.09) were significantly higher than those in the control group (6.77±0.67 and 8.22±1.37), the difference was statistically significant (t=3.881, 3.527, P<0.05). After preoperative visit, the socres of SAS (38.65±4.42), SDS (40.38±3.87), avoidance and resignation (10.53±1.37 and 6.09±0.80) in the research group were lower than those in the control group (45.25±3.08, 46.49±4.62 and 12.68±1.98, 7.37±0.84), (t=6.129-8.453, P<0.05). The scores of confronce (22.61±3.87) and knowledge related to operation (44.00±5.36) in the research group were higher than those in the control group (18.70±2.97 and 40.02±6.30), there were significant differences between the two groups (t=5.518, 3.313, P<0.05).@*Conclusion@#Multidisciplinary cooperation model-based might be a useful preoperative visit model in decreasing the levels of psychological stress and promoting surgical cognition in patients undergoing surgery for the first time.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the inhibitory effect of Rompun anesthesia and operation on immune function of dogs. Methods We randomly divided 14 healthy dogs into Group A and Group B with 7 in each.Rompun anesthesia induced by intramuscular injection of 3.0 mg/kg Rompun was carried out in Group A while Rompun anesthesia and operation were applied in Group B.The venous blood samples were collected before and after anesthesia at 2,8,24,72,120 and 168 h for centrifugation to obtain sera.ELISA kit was used to evaluate the contents of serum IL-1β,IL-2,IL-4,IL-8 and TNF-α.Results Compared with those before anesthesia, the concentrations of IL-2,IL-1βand TNF-αin Group A significantly decreased at 2,8,24 and 72 h (P0 .05 ).Compared with those before anesthesia, the concentrations of IL-2 and IL-1βin Group B significantly decreased from 2 to 168h (P<0.05),while the concentrations of TNF-αand IL-8 significantly increased (P<0 .05 ).IL-2 and IL-1βcontents in Group B from 2 to 168 h were significantly decreased compared with those in Group A (P<0.05 ),whereas IL-8 and TNF-αincreased significantly (P<0.05 ). Conclusion Both Rompun anesthesia and operation stress can inhibit dogs'immune function, and the latter has a stronger inhibitory effect than the former.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the regularity and clinical significance of cortisol(Cor),adrenocorticotrophic hormone(ACTH),atrial natriuetic peptide(ANP) and interleukin-6(IL-6) changes before and after operation stress. Methods The ACTH,Cor,ANP and IL-6 levels in 18 children with abdominal neoplasms(12 male and 6 female,8 cases with sacrococcygeal teratoma,5 cases with hepatoblastoma, and 5 cases with nephroblastoma) were measured before and after operation(24 hours before operation;4,24,48,and 72 hours after operation).Eighteen children were divided into the study group and the control group. The children in the former group were accompanied with stress ulcer, intestinal obstruction and infection shock or even death after operations, while the children in the later group recovered without any complication. The ACTH,Cor,ANP in serum were measured by radioactive immune analysis(RIA) assay, and serum IL-6 level were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results In 2 groups, serum levels of ACTH,Cor,ANP,IL-6 increased significantly 4 h after operation. The changes in ACTH and ANP were similar in 2 groups.Cor in the control group reached its peak 24 h after operation, and then decreased gradually to the pre-operation levels 72 h after operation;IL-6 reached its peak 4 h after operation, and then decreased slowly. It was still at a high level in 48 h after operation, and then decreased to pre-operation levels 72 h after operation. But serum Cor,IL-6 in the study group slightly increased 24 h after operation, and were apparently higher than those in the control group(Pa

ABSTRACT

Rat with amputation operation stress possessed a decline of NK activity and splenocyte pro-liferation to mitogen ConA.Amygdaloid nuclei lesion could antagonize the decrease of those ofcell-mediated immunity.Further results showed that serum corticosterone and methionine-enkephahn was high in stress' rats.Amugdaloid Nuclei lesion could antagonize the increase ofserum corticosterone level, but seem no dffeet on serum methionine-enkephalin level, thereforesuggesting that it is related to ratio of corticosterone to enkephalin changed by decrease of corti-costerone that amygdaloid neuclei lesion antagonized the decline of immunogical function inducedby stress.

ABSTRACT

In this paper, it has been found that such stressors as operation or swimming in cold watermay suppress the mitogenic response of murine spleen cells to ConA or LPS, whichis closely related to the action of suppressor cells.Using the plastic-adherence method, the plastic-adherence cells in spleen(PAC)was removed or obtained. The difference of mitogenic responsivebefore and after the removal of PAC is very apparent in stressed mice, being much lower thannormal before the renioval of PAC and near to normal after removing PAC. It is interestingthat the lymphocyte transformation stimulated by LPS is suppressed predominantly after swim-ming stress instead of those by ConA in operation stress. It has also been observed that theindomethacin may block the induction of suppressor PAC by stress, which means that the pro-staglandins may play an important role in the induction and action of suppressor PAC.
