ABSTRACT

Objective To study the adsorption technology of piceid on macroporous resin. Methods The extraction condition of piceid, the types of macroporous resin, the concentration of the sample of Rhizoma Polygoni cuspidati extract, the flow velocity of samples during adsorption were investigated and the leak curve was drawed to ascertain the optimal sample quantity. Results Resin D101 gave a better adsorption performance in the following technological conditions:the concentration of the sample of Rhizoma Polygoni cuspidati extract was 0.7774 mg/mL, the flow velocity of sample during adsorption 3BV/h, the optimal adsorption capacity of the resin was 10.88 mg/mL. Conclusion The procedure was simple, feasible and can be applied to industrial production.

ABSTRACT

Object To investigate the effects on the active components in Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc. and its different processed products. Methods The qualitative analysis of piceid and emodin are taken by TLC, and content of emodin was determined by TLCS and HPLC. Results The contents of emodin significantly increased in samples fried with rice wine, vinegar and salt compared with the crude. Conclusion Different methods and ajuvants made a certain influence on the contents of emotion in P. cuspidatum.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To investigate the application of microemulsion TLC to separation and identification of(Z)-and(E)-resveratrol and piceid in Polygonum cuspidatum based on polyamide film as stationary phase.METH-ODS: SDS-n-butane-n-heptane-aqueous microemulsion as the development in combination with aminic acid and methonal as the modifier, the influence of the change in components of microemulsion on the resolution was exam-ined to search for the optimal separation condition of Polygonm cuspidatum extract collected from 6 production places.RESULTS: The best mobile phase was the microemulsion containing 4% SDS,80% water-methyl acid-methanol(1.0 ∶ 2.0 ∶ 1.0).As compared with conventional TLC,resolution of microemulsion TLC for resveratrol and piceid were improved markedly.CONCLUSION: Microemulsion TLC is an efficient, simple and new method for separating and identifing(Z)-and(E)-diastereomers of resveratrol and piceid in Polygonum cuspidatum.
