ABSTRACT

Objectives To study the knowledge,attitude and practice (KAP) status of hospice care among probationer nurses in Xi'an and analyze their influence factors with the purpose of providing reference for the education of hospice care in medical colleges and hospitals.Methods By a convenience sampling method,the probationer nurses from four medical colleges were investigated with the hospice care KAP questionnaire in January 2018.And the data were processed by SPSS 18.0 for descriptive analysis,t test,variance analysis and correlation analysis.Results A total of 1 534 questionnaires were issued,1 523 taken back,and 1 467 valid,with an effective return-ratio as 95.63%.The knowledge score,attitude score and practice score were (12.31 ± 3.44),(129.25 ± 9.97) and (23.15 ± 3.96) with the accuracy ratio as 61.5%,68.0%,and 77.2% respectively.The knowledge was correlated significantly with education,nation,religion,domicile and learning experience (P<0.05),the attitude correlated significantly with gender,education,nation,religion,domicile and learning experience (P<0.05),and the practice correlated significantly with gender,education,hospital level,religion,monthly family income per person,and learning experience (P<0.05).There were positive correlations between the knowledge and the attitude (r=0.39,P<0.01),the knowledge and the practice (r=0.25,P<0.01),and the attitude and the practice (r=0.49,P<0.01).Conclusion The probationer nurses lack the knowledge of hospice care and the awareness of it is weak.Consequently,the medical colleges and hospitals should strengthen the education to help the probationer nurses develop effective hospice care behaviors.

ABSTRACT

Based on the necessity of carrying out bioethics education to the probationer nurses, this paper put forward to introduce psychological sitcom to the probationer nurses′ bioethics education and described the practice process in detail. It also discussed the mechanism to improve the effectiveness of bioethics education from the per-spectives of creation, dramatization, and performance of psychological sitcom.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the effect of responsibility contracting system in clinical teaching.Methods One hundred and eighty eights probationers from August 2009 to July 2010 as controls were trained by functional nursing teaching. Another 192 probationers from August 2009 to July 2010 were assigned as the experiment group,and given clinical teaching by way of the Responsibility Contracting System.The teaching effects in the two groups were compared.Results The probationers in the experiment group had significant improvements in the ability to perform health education,manipulation of nursing skills,ability in observation skills,and nursing documents writing,compared to the control group(P<0?01).Conclusions The teaching mode of responsibility contracting system is effective in strengthening the responsibility of probationer nurses,attaching great importance to the implementation of basic nursing,improving students’ability in implementation of health education and performance of skill manipulation and nursing,and eventually improving the level and quality of nursing teaching?
