ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the application and effect of scenario simulation teaching in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) course for emergency training of "5+3" professional master. Methods:A randomized controlled trial was conducted among 48 "5+3" professional masters who would rotate in the emergency department, to compare the test results of the total and three scenes between scenario simulation teaching group ( n=24) and traditional teaching group ( n=24). The STEMI teaching was carried out through simulating the emergency room, standardized patients and first-aid simulators in the simulation teaching group, and the traditional teaching group was taught by conventional classroom teaching. After the class, "Theoretical Examination" and "Questionnaire Survey" were used to evaluate the teaching effect. The former was further divided into "first diagnosis and differential diagnosis of chest pain", "fast identification and processing of STEMI" and "rescue of cardiac arrest" for inter-group and intra-group evaluation. SPSS 20.0 was used to conduct t-test. Results:In the theoretical examination, the scenario simulation teaching group was superior to the traditional teaching group in the test of emergency processing for STEMI course [(82.38±2.41) vs . (68.00±1.95), t=4.64, P<0.001]. In the sub-analysis of scenario simulation teaching group, students in the role-play group had significantly higher scores than others in the non-role-play group [(90.50±3.04) vs . (79.67±2.79), t=2.09, P=0.049]. Scenario simulation teaching group was also superior to traditional teaching group in the "Questionnaire Survey". Conclusion:In the training and teaching of STEMI emergency processing, scenario simulation teaching group proves to be superior to traditional teaching, which deserves further promotion.

ABSTRACT

Professional training in health was marked by numerous inducing initiatives aimed at the process of reorienting training and qualifying health professionals with a view to meeting the principles of the SUS and promoting solutions to the population's health problems. In this scenario, the professional master's degree (MP) has become a field of worker specialization and the production of fundamental knowledge for health services and systems, emphasizing the Professional Master's Degree in the National Network in Family Health (PROFSAÚDE), one of the programs created in the last decade for professional qualification for the Health Unic System. Studying the modality and bringing evidence that uniquely configures the MP in the training proposals contribute to the programs fulfilling the purpose for which the model was called to exercise: professional qualification. This work aimed to analyze the norms and guidelines that regulate the professional master's degree identifying the requirements that give identity to this modality; contextualize the historical background to the creation of PROFSAÚDE and present its organizational and academic management characteristics; analyze PROFSAÚDE from the perspective of the identity requirements of the professional master's degree. It was a descriptive-exploratory study with a qualitative-quantitative approach, developed in two phases: the first focused on PM, as a stricto sensu modality, and the second phase with a specific focus on PROFSAÚDE. In this study, unique characteristics were identified in this type of course, requirements such as a curricular structure consistent with the purpose of the course, pertinent methodological strategies applied to the professional field, faculty with a profile for the professional area, and final products oriented to solving problems were identified as essential for MP proposals. It is evident in the findings that articulating teaching and application in the field of professional activity is a motto for professional master's degrees. The study also brought evidence that makes PROFSAÚDE a proposal that supports the MP's identity, advancing the program's improvement in issues involving masters dissertation and the profile of the faculty. The results of this study contributed to a unique look at the modality and the program and may support other analyzes for professional master's courses.

ABSTRACT

The revolution involving the current pattern of cultivating medical talents by combining clinical practice and education is a key step to train the high-level practical talents with clinical medicine. In this paper, we analyze the current graduate training management and quality evaluation in clinical medicine. As a result,we find some deficient exist in the present pattern of education management that is recognized as valuing scientific re-search and ignoring the clinical practice, such as a lack of effective feedback and backward in the present assess-ment system. That will inevitably influence the clinical training quality of graduate students with professional degree and lead to an awkward result that the graduate have poor knowledge in both the clinical practice and scientific re-search,resulting in a serious shortage of clinical practical talents. To solve the dilemma, our hospital constructed the intelligent digital information management platform, which has synthesized intelligent schedule, clinical rota-tion management and assessment system. With the perfect platform, the problems including clinical rotation,exam-ination,assessment in cultivating management and monitoring were primely solved. It is realizable to upgrade the graduate management from the traditional extensive management to the refined management mode and to further strengthen management, restraint and feedback system with the intelligent platform. Gradually, the fundamental purpose to cultivate the high-level talents for clinical practice could be achieved.

ABSTRACT

This study is about the discourses that prevailed over the course of time in Brazilian legislation for the Master's Course in Public Health, and how a Brazilian research and education institution in the area of Public Health appropriated these discourses in the creation of its course proposals. Discourse analysis techniques were applied to legal documents and to sixteen master's programs developed in the institution under scrutiny. The results revealed that with respect to legislation, analysis of the historical timeline makes it possible to say that the initial lack of definition progressively gave rise to the understanding that the identity of such post-graduate education presupposes pedagogical practices that promote the strengthening of ties between academia and the workplace. And, in relation to the master's course proposals for public health in the institutions under scrutiny, they still operate with traditionally consolidated training schemes and tend to standardize their proposals with those of the academic model. It was assumed in this study that the series of proposals would clearly mirror the intentions and, above all, the vision of the training institutions in the area of public health on this stricto sensu model, the identity of which also appears poorly defined.
