Modelo para el reforzamiento del aprendizaje con dispositivos móviles / Model for the reinforcement of learning with mobile devices

Resumen La proliferación de dispositivos inteligentes móviles en la sociedad despierta un interés por conocer cómo los recursos de los dispositivos pueden usarse en el contexto educativo, ya que los estudiantes llevan sus teléfonos inteligentes (Smartphones) con ellos todo el tiempo. El objetivo del presente estudio analizó diferentes modelos para el desarrollo de aprendizajes en contextos móviles, puntualizado en mecanismos de refuerzo para la adaptación de los dispositivos móviles en la enseñanza tradicional. La comparación de las características de los modelos analizados sirvió de base para la propuesta de un modelo de enseñanza, para el reforzamiento de aprendizajes en entornos móviles, por lo que se desglosan los aspectos y características actuales más relevantes de los dispositivos para ofrecer al lector estrategias para el reforzamiento de su tarea docente, con seguimiento, soporte y la evaluación de los aprendizajes. La propuesta se basa en la esencia comunicacional de los dispositivos, uso de multimedia y escenarios resultantes de la inteligencia colectiva para interiorizar aprendizajes de manera independiente. Se recomienda implementarse en nivel secundaria, media superior y superior, a excepción del preescolar o en los primeros grados de educación primaria.

Abstract The proliferation of mobile smart devices in society arouses an interest in knowing how the resources of the devices can be used in the educational context, since students carry their Smartphones with them all the time. The present study analyzes different models for the development of learning in mobile contexts, focusing on reinforcement mechanisms for the adaptation of mobile devices in traditional education. The comparison of the characteristics of the analyzed models served as the basis for the proposal of a learning reinforcement model in mobile contexts. To that aim, the most relevant components and characteristics of current devices are outlined to offer the reader strategies for the reinforcement of his or her teaching practice, including followup, support and evaluation of learning tasks. The proposal is based on the communicative essence of the devices, use of multimedia and scenarios resulting from collective intelligence to interiorize learning independently. The model has been designed for its implementation in secondary and higher education levels, rather than in preschool or the first grades of primary education.

Educar para el Cuidado Materno Perinatal: Una propuesta para reflexionar / Educating for perinatal maternal care: a proposal for reflection

El propósito del cuidado materno perinatal es la salud y la calidad de vida de la madre y el niño, lo cual se puede lograr mediante una interacción que se ejerce entre la madre, la familia y el cuidador; es allí donde se comparten conocimientos, experiencias y percepciones acerca del cuidado, y a su vez se generan responsabilidades para que se alcance este fin. Para lograrlo, es preciso reconocer que la práctica del cuidado materno perinatal difiere de un lugar a otro y de un tiempo a otro, porque el cuidar como toda actividad humana se ejecuta siempre en el seno de una determinada cultura y una sociedad, es decir, se articula con la cultura en el marco de un contexto histórico. Así el cuidado materno perinatal es vía de transmisión, conservación y actualización de la cultura de una generación a otra. El reflexionar sobre las relaciones entre cuidado y cultura me llevó a plantear una propuesta educativa que parte de una visión más integradora de la realidad utilizando como estrategia la educación participante a través de la cual se desarrolla la capacidad de las personas para investigar, reflexionar, participar y cuidar asumiendo responsabilidad por su propio proceso de desarrollo. / The purpose of the perinatal maternal care is the mother’s and child’s health and life quality, which can be achieved through the interaction between the mother, family and caretaker. El programa de pregrado de enfermería en el sistema regional de la Universidad del Valle: experiencia de la apertura en la sede Pacífico / The Nurse program in the regional system of the Universidad del Valle: opening experience at the campus of Pacific area

Se presenta la experiencia, concerniente a la apertura del programa de pregrado de Enfermería en Buenaventura. El proceso comprendió: -La elaboración de la propuesta, basada en el análisis de las condiciones sociales de la zona, la reiterada solicitud de la comunidad y el apoyo de las directivas de la Universidad del Valle y de la Sede Pacífico. -La preparación de los docentes de Buenaventura, organización de los cursos, selección de estudiantes, asesoría al programa. En el momento hay admitidos 48 estudiantes en dos promociones. -La evaluación probablemente se hará después de la tercera versión. Esta orientará el futuro del programa en la Sede Pacífico.

The experience concerning the opening of the Graduate Nursing Program in Buenaventura is presented. The process consisted in: -The elaboration of the proposal, based on: the analysis of the area's social conditions; the community's repeated petition and the support given by Universidad del Valle and the Pacific headquarters' board of directors. -The preparation of Buenaventura's instructors; the organization of courses; the selection of students and the advice the program received. At the moment, there are 48 students in two promotions admitted. - The evaluation will probably be made after the third version. This will orient the program's future in Pacific headquarters.
