ABSTRACT

Objective To study the application of correlation statistical analysis model in IMRT planning optimization. Methods A correlation statistical analysis model was established. IMRT plans of 5 prostate cancer patients were randomly chosen from the ADAC Pinacal 7.6 version planning system. The beam parameters, objective functions of the target area and optimization parameters of the primary plan were kept unchanged. The main optimization parameters including EUD parameter a,weight (w) and EUD_(max) of OAR were adjusted in optimization procedure successively. The correlation analysis (CF) and optimization efficiency analysis (OF) were carried out on the results of the optimization. The optimal value of parameters (MORt{}) with the best dose distribution was obtained and substituted in the corresponding primary plan. After optimization, the dose distributions of the two IMRT plans were compared. Results There were signif-icant differences with different optimization methods. The EUD parameter a and weight factor (w) almost had no effect on volume dose of OAR (OF < 0.01), though had obvious effect on the maximum dose and mean dose (OF≈1). The CF analysis showed that the correlation between the PTV ( V_(95)) volume and OAR dose was different when the EUD parameter a and w were applied for optimization. Meanwhile, the difference was proportional to the distance between the target area and OAR. The mean dose of OAR was decreased and the mean dose of PTV was more close to the prescription dose when the optimization parameters of the prima-ry plan were substituted with MOR{a} ,MOR{w} and MORt{EUD_(max)}. Besides, the DVH and isedose dis-tribution of the secondary plan were better. Conclusions The correlation statistical analysis model can be used to accurately determine the scope of optimization parameters in the IMRT planning procedure in prostate cancer, and an IMRT plan which fulfils the clinical requirement can be obtained efficiently.

ABSTRACT

The data of awarded research achievements of Cancer Hospital/Institute CAMS & PUMC were analyzed in this article. It showed that achievements were mainly focused on esophageal cancer, head and neck cancer.liver cancer and cervical cancer. However, the main disciplines for the achievements were etiology, genetics, cell biology, immunology and surgery. These results indicated that base on the cancer control practice in China, focus on prevention in field stations, close collaboration among different disciplines and keeping the academic team working efficiently and developing continually is the key to obtain thus research achievements.

ABSTRACT

The catalogues of courses in 15 medical schools were selected randomly and their quantity and quality were compared statistically among different levels on clinical medicine programs. The results of the analysis showed the lower level of clinical medicine program should be closed down due to several reasons that were lower training objects, more waste in educational resources, more social inequity and so forth.

ABSTRACT

Objective To isolate marine microorganisms against murine melanoma cells B16.Methods Using Gause,M1,and Martin media for isolation.Isolates were fermented in the soy flour medium, the fermentation supernatant were tested against murine melanoma cells B16 by observing the growth inhibition or killing of the tumour cells under microscope. The results were statistically analyzed by SAS.Results Six hundred and thirty four strains of marine microorganisms were isolated from 101 marine animal samples,of which 56 active strains against murine melanoma cells B16 were screened out,the percentage of cytotoxic active strains was 8.83%.Conclusion The number of cytotoxic active strains was higher from Actina,Mytilus edulis,Meretrix meretrix,Atrina,Ascidiacea,Tube Worm, and crabs. There was significant relation between different microorganism types isolated to the sampling locations.Hainan Lingshui New Village fishing row had the highest percentage of the actinomycetes,GuangXi Beihai Guchengling mangrove had the highest percentage of bacteria, and GuangXi Beihai Nanwan habor had the highest percentage of fungi. There was significant relation between cytotoxic activity of the isolated strains to different microorganism types of bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi, among which thebacteria showed highest percentage of cytotoxic activity.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To establish an effective fingerprint analysis. Methods: Cluster analysis and mahalanobis distance analysis were adopted to analyze data of HPLC fingerprint of shenmai injection. Results: Precise classification of 18 samples was done by cluster analysis and mahalanobis distance analysis. Conclusion: Authors believe that multivariate statistics analysis applied to fingerprint can be recommanded in the quality control of shenmai injection.
