ABSTRACT

A fundamentally new direction in the theory and practice of quantum nonlinear phenomena in non-ideal and very close to non-degenerate plasma has been developed, for the first time the existence of a new state of matter-imperfect plasma-quantum plasma condensate, combining the properties of ordinary liquid and ionized plasma, has been theoretically predicted and confirmed. The quantum non-ideality of non-degenerate plasma and the exchange interaction of electrons in it, leading to effective energy release in the plasma process under study, were investigated. The directions of use of this energy have been determined: for heating, lighting, conversion by means of photocells or MHD-movements into electrical, for obtaining energy in the ultraviolet range. Particular attention in the work is paid to one of the most popular applications of quantum non-ideal plasma - for heating, at which its plasma combustion occurs, and the generation of electrical energy based on the use of a quantum plasma-MHD generator with plasma delamination. Detection of this kind of phase state of non-ideal non-degenerate plasma and its use in engineering and technology will create a fundamentally new effective energy system corresponding to the Sixth Technological Order on a global scale. This source of energy is the only environmentally friendly, not destroying or polluting our planet, and its use cleanses our ecosphere. The paper shows that the use of existing energy undermines people's health, reduces their immunity and resistance to coronaviruses. Measures have been proposed to end coronavirus pandemics on Earth. Information is provided on the technical capabilities of the proposed fundamentally new structures - Universal Modules of Industrial Disintegrators / Activators, which allow to implement grandiose, payback state projects on the basis of the developed nanotechnologies, representing the work of tens of millions of people

ABSTRACT

Objectives To provide theoretical basis for the clinical rational using of drugs, biochemical characteristics of the liver injuries induced by the atorvastatin, simvastatin and lovastatin were analyzed and compared by replicating the rats model of liver injuries induced by statins, Methods 80 SPF SD rats (8 weeks of age), half male and half female, were divided into four groups randomly: control group, simvastatin group, lovastatin group, atorvastatin group. Human equivalent doses were administered to the latter three groups of rats which were sacrificed to draw blood on the 10 th, 35 th and 55 th day respectively (via the femoral artery) for testing liver function index, including total bilirubin (TBIL), direct bilirubin (DBIL), indirect bilirubin (IBIL), aspartateaminotransferase (AST), alanineaminotransferase (ALT), alkalinephosphatase (ALP). Results (1) The increases in TBIL, DBIL, IBIL for treatment group in comparison with control group had statistical significance (P<0.01).2) At the 55 th day of administration, there was a significant statistical difference between the simvastatin group and the lovastatin group in AST (P<0.05);3) Meanwhile, there was great statistical difference between the atorvastatin group and lovastatin group in ALP (P<0.01). Conclusion The rats in the three experimental groups suffered from minor to moderate liver injuries, most of which being cholestasis type. It is speculated that this kind of liver injuries are closely related to the obstacle of transfering bile.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the protective role of continuous veno-venous hemofiltration (CVVH) in cardiac insufficiency refractory to diuretic therapy after acute myocardial infarction. Methods A total of 104 acute myocardial infarction patients admitted from march 2012 to march 2016 were recruited.According to their wishes, the patients were divided into two groups, continuous veno-venous hemofiltration combined with routine therapy as experimental group (n =52) and conventional treatment as control group (n =52).Mortality rate within one month, the mean length of ICU stay, the mean length of hospital stay, ventilator usage and urine output volume were documented. Then the difference in BW between pre-and post-treatment was determined for evaluation of fluid retention, and blood plasma C-reactive protein (ΔCRP),interleukin 6 (ΔIL-6),interleukin 8 (ΔIL-8),tumor necrosis factor-α (ΔTNF-α) and left ventricular ejection fraction (ΔLVEF) were measured and calculated.A multiple linear regression model to predict ΔLVEF was established.Data recorded at different intervals in the same group were analyzed by ANOVA.Data of the monitoring biomarkers, the mean length of ICU stay, the mean length of hospital stay of two groups were recorded at the same given intervals were analyzed by t test.Data of mortality rate within one month, drugs and ventilator usage in two groups were analyzed by x2 test.P value less than 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results There were significant differences in mortality rate within one month, the mean length of ICU stay, the mean length of hospital stay, and the duration of ventilator usage between the two groups (P < 0.05).Total volume of fluid output (urine and ultrafiltration volume) was higher in experiment group than that in control group in 48 hours after the treatment (P < 0.01).The levels of CRP,IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-α decreased significantly (P < 0.05) in experiment group after treatment but not in control group (P > 0.05) as compared with those before the treatment.BW was decreased and LVEF was increased in both groups after treatment (P < 0.05) compared with those before the treatment.Levels of CRP,IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-α were lower in experiment group than those in control group after treatment (P < 0.05).BW was meagerly lower and LVEF was meagerly higher in experiment group than those in control group without statistical significance (P > 0.05).However,the degrees of ΔLVEF andΔBW were greater in experiment group than those in control group (P < 0.01).In experiment group, significantly positive correlations were found among ΔBW,ΔCRP,ΔIL-6,ΔIL-8,ΔTNF-α and ΔLVEF (P <0.05).Multiple linear regression analyses showed that ΔBW and ΔTNF-α were the independent factors forΔLVEF and ΔBW was the main independent factor for ΔLVEF in control group.ΔLVEF was positively correlated with ΔBW (P<0.01) but had no correlation with ΔCRP,ΔIL-6,ΔIL-8 and ΔTNF-α (P >0.05).Multiple 1inear regression analyses showed that only ΔBW was the independent factor for ΔLVEF.Conclusion CVVH plays protective role in acute myocardial infarction patients with consequent cardiac insufficiency refractory to diuretic therapy by clearance of inflammatory cytokines and removal of retained fluid, and the removal of retained fluid is the most import mechanism to protect heart function.

ABSTRACT

Aim To study the mechanisms of inotropic responses to doxazosin enantiomers in the isolated rat atrium. Methods We analyzed the positive inotropic response to (-)doxazosin and the negative inotropic response to (+)doxazosin in the left atrium of rat u-sing receptor-pharmacological technique. Results In the preparation treated with verapamil, the positive in-otropic responses to 3 μmol·L-1 (-)doxazosin were significantly inhibited from the control level (245.7 1 ± 44.29)mg to (172.50 ±43.34)mg,(P<0.05).In the preparation treated with methylene blue, the posi-tive inotropic responses to 3 μmol·L-1 (-)doxazosin were significantly potentiated from the control level (245.7 1 ±44.29 )mg to (303.33 ±45 .90 )mg,(P<0.05 ).In the preparation treated with H-89 ,the positive inotropic responses to 3,10 and 30 μmol · L-1 (-)doxazosin were (338.57 ±96.86 ) mg, (471.43 ±107.61)mg and (520.00 ±103.44)mg, which were significantly (P<0.05 ~0.01)larger than the control levels of (245.71 ±44.29)mg,(314.29 ±90.34)mg and (357.14 ±68.49 )mg.Treatment with phenoxybenzamine, atropine, propranolol or indo-methacin did not significantly affect the responses to doxazosin enantiomers. Conclusion The positive ino-tropic responses to (-)doxazosin in the isolated left a-trium of rat are partially involved in L-type Ca2+chan-nels and intracellular cGMP level.However,α-adre-noceptors,muscarinic receptors,β-adrenoceptors and cyclooxygenases are not related to the responses to doxazosin enantiomers.

ABSTRACT

The Research Committee for the Meridian Point held its third workshop at the 57th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society Acupuncture and Moxibustion in Kyoto. Evaluations and reports were presented on two topics.<BR><BR>The first topic:Study of PSC in Japan and China.<BR> 1) Literature search on PSC in China (Wang):A literature search on major studies on PSC in China since 1979 was conducted. The report introduces the definition, characteristics and the mechanism of PSC development together with meridian phenomena.<BR><BR> 2) PSC in reference to the ryodoraku (Morikawa):Development of the reactive ryodo point in patients under hemodialysis or those who have had a total gastrectomy and the cases in which reactive ryodo points or needle sensation developed when specific regions were stimulated were reported. The relationship between reactive ryodo points and PSC was examined. <BR><BR> 3) The mechanism by which PSC develops (Yamada):Neurotransmitter substances are released from sensory nerve endings during acupuncture stimulation. Absorbed by lymphatic vessels, these substances stimulate the smooth muscle of these vessels, thus causing the PSC. Based on factors such as transmission velocity and inhibitory factors, the mechanism by which PSC develops was investigated.<BR><BR>The second topic:Specific locations of meridian points and clinical effects of the meridian point.<BR> 1) Anatomical regions for GB 30 huantiao (Ozaki and Matsuoka):In establishing the international standard for the meridian points under the guidance of WHO, both Chinese and Japanese proposals were listed for GB 30. The clinical effects-presumably emanating from the subcutaneous structure when acupuncture stimuli are applied to these points in a direction perpendicular to the body surface-were comparatively evaluated. <BR><BR> 2) Transition in the regions and main effects of GB 30 (Sakaguchi):As stated above, both Japanese and Chinese definitions were cited in establishing the international standard for GB 30 under the guidance of WHO. By quoting the classic literature from China and Japan, changes in the regions and main effects of GB 30 were comparatively evaluated.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the protective effects of propofol against ischemia-reperfusion injury in rat brains. Methods Modified Longa modle of focal cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury was used. 200 healthy male SD rats, weighing 200-300g were anesthetized with intraperitoneal(I.P.) ketamine and propofol. When righting reflx was abolished, external carotid artery was exposed. A nylon thread with rounded end was inserted cranially until anterior cerebral artery was reached. After 3h ischemia nylon thread was withdrawn for reperfusion which lasted 3h. Bloos samples were obtained from orbit. Skull was opened and brain removed. In control group carotid artery was exposed but nylon thread was not inserted cranially. The animals were divided into four groups: (1)ischemia-reperfusion model group: normal saline 10 ml was administered I.P.,(2)operation control group: normal saline was given I.P.at the end of operation,(3)nimodipine group: nimodipine 1 mg?kg -1 was administered I.P. 10 min before ischemia,(4) propofol group: propofol 110 mg?kg -1 was given I.P. 10 min before ischemia. Brain infarction area, cerebral water content, serum lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) and creatine kinase(CK) levels, brain SOD activity and MDA and Ca 2+ levels were measured. Ultrastracture of brain tissue was examined by electron microscopy. Results Propofol 110 mg?kg -1 reduced mortality after brain ischemia/reperfusion injury. Infarction area of brain was significantly smaller in propofol and nimodipine groups than that in group 1. Propofol significantly inhibited the increases in serum LDH and CK levels induced by ischemia/reperfusion, increased SOD activity and decreased MDA content and Ca 2+ level in brain tissue. There was less brain tissue damage in propofol group. Conclusions Propofol 110 mg?kg -1 has protective effect against cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats.
