ABSTRACT

Objective]To sum up Pro.CHENG Zhiqing’s clinical experience in treating coronary heart disease.[Method] By following and studying Pro. CHENG Zhiqing’s clinical experienced cases in treating coronary heart disease, Pro. CHENG Zhiqing’s academic viewpoints and characterizes were summed up from soothing liver and activating stagnated Yang, with one case for detailed explanation. [Result]Pro. CHENG obtains that liver-qi invasion and thoracic yang obstruction are both main traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome types. In clinical practice, Pro. CHENG emphasizes that the liver qi should be recuperated to treatment of heart diseases, and activating stagnated Yang be paid attention while removing blood stasis and eliminating the phlegm. The good curative effect relies on her ingenious flexible selection of traditional Chinese medicine,as verified by the cited case.[Conclusion] The methods of soothing liver and activating stagnated Yang have good clinical effect in treating coronary heart disease, which worthy of peer reference.

ABSTRACT

[Objective]This paper mainly introduced the clinical experience of Professor HAN Xu in the treatment of coronary heart disease from the perspective of Qi.[Methods]To elaborate Professor HAN's experience in the treatment of coronary heart disease, the author mainly described the cause and pathology of the disease as well as the therapeutic method. In order to better describe this therapy, a clinical case was reported. [Results]Professor HAN believes that Qi is the foundation of human beings, and the pathogenesis of coronary heart disease can be classified as Qi deficiency and Qi stagnation, whose pathogenesis is Qi and blood disorders. Treatment should focus on regulating Qi, to reconcile Qi and blood, and Sixteen Kinds of Gas Decoction and clinically has good effects.[Conclusion]The theory showed promising clinical outcome and was worth of a wide application.

ABSTRACT

Thoracic obstruction is mainly attributed to the scope of coronary heart disease in modern medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) shows a significant effect in the treatment of thoracic obstruction. In this research, a network pharmacology method was carried out to systemically study the underlying mechanism of the core herbal compatibility in TCM on the thoracic obstruction. First, we collected the literature about TCM prescriptions for treating thoracic obstruction from CNKI. Then, a prescription database was establish by TCM inheritance support platform system(V2.5) to determine the medication rules and core herbal compatibility in TCM. Finally, to obtain the potential signaling pathways, KEGG pathway analysis was performed by BATMAN-TCM online analysis tool. Results showed that the potential signal pathway of core herbal compatibility in TCM for the clinical treatment of thoracic obstruction was calcium ion and cGMP-PKG signaling pathway. This study provided a new research strategy for the study of the medication rules and mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of thoracic obstruction.

ABSTRACT

Objective To discuss the application value of the treatment protocol of combining warm needling and atorvastatin in treating female cardiac syndrome X (CSX). Method Eighty female CSX patients were randomized into a control group and an observation group by the random number table, 40 cases in each group. The control group was intervened by atorvastatin in addition to the conventional treatment protocol, while the observation group was by warm needling plus atorvastatin in addition to the conventional treatment. The treatment efficacies and adverse events rates were compared between the two groups. Result There were no significant between-group differences in comparing the component and total scores of the Cardiac Anxiety Questionnaire (CAQ), NO, plasma endothelin (ET-1) and hypersensitive C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) levels before the intervention (P>0.05);after 8-week treatment, the component and total scores of CAQ, ET-1, and hs-CRP levels were significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group, and NO level was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group (P0.05). Conclusion In the treatment of female CSX, warm needling plus atorvastatin can enhance the treatment efficacy.

ABSTRACT

Acute coronary syndrome(ACS) belongs to “thoracic obstruction” and “heartache” in traditional Chinese medicine.Although many ancient physicians has discussed this disease, while due to the impact of “Yang Wei Yin Xian” in Zhang Zhong-jing's theory, the disease caused little attention by far.In the clinical practice, the author found that most ACS patients belong to heat syndrome.Based on TCM constitution theory, the author put forward the ACS was mainly caused by heat accumulation and blood stasis due to the changes of living environment, lifestyle, and diet, etc.According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, emotional disorder, spicy and hot food can burn body fluid, leading to blood stasis.Long term of blood stasis turns to heat, which further consumes heart blood and aggravates blood stasis. Therefore heat accumulation and blood stasis should be paid attention in the treatment of ACS.
