ABSTRACT

This nursing interactive system, based on hospital information system, minimizes manual repetitions of nurses and their cross-space communication problems. It provides an accurate and intuitive information display and communication channel for clinical nursing care, which can also provide a preliminary evaluation of its application effects. On such basis, the authors propose that building such a system is a necessity in nursing informationization, as it elevates nursing efficiency, scientific management and patient safety.

ABSTRACT

Objective To analyze the musculoskeletal injuries related to touch screen VDT operation and design implications. Methods The effects of touch screen size and angles on touch-screen-VDT-operation-related muscle load and fatigue were explored using thorough experiment and EMG acquisition method, and the independent variables included the size and angle and the dependant variables consisted of the load and fatigue of flexor digitorum superficialis (FDS),extensor digitorum communis (EDC),extensor carpi radialis (ECR) and extensor carpi ulnaris (ECU).Results No significant difference was found with regard to pointing success rate and accuracy at all screen sizes and angles levels.FDS and EDC MVC% increased with increasing touch screen size at all levels of angles.FDS MVC% decreased while EDC MVC% increased with inclining angles at all levels of touch screen sizes. All measured muscles' MF did not decrease with time. Conclusion This study helps to provide basis for the optimization of equipment design, reduce exposure to musculoskeletal injuries risks and implement primary prevention.

ABSTRACT

Objective To develop an intelligent moxibustion instrument based on MCU,on the basis of moxibustion principles of traditional Chinese medicine. Methods A mixed-signal system-on-chip MCU C8051F020 was used to design four kinds of moxibustion heads to heat, light, and to upload detected temperature to the host microcontroller.Sixteen output ports were designed of which temperature and moxibustion time can be individually set. Results The temperature range of moxibustion head was 30-60℃,with error ≤±3 ℃.The timing range was 10-90 min,and full-scale timing error was ≤±1 min.The average infrared all normal emission rate of moxibustion head was 0.89.Conclusions The test parameters meet the requirements for moxibustion instrument, and the instrument is safe, reliable and simple to operate.

ABSTRACT

Assessing the working memory of the rodent by using a touch-screen system has several advantages (e.g., allowing highly accurate data collection and flexibility in memory task design). However, there is currently no available testing paradigm utilizing touch-screen systems that can assess working memory in the mouse. In this study, we developed a touch-screen testing paradigm in which mice were trained to choose a location that is matched to a sample location after a time delay. Consistent with previous studies, this study showed that mice could not only learn the rule in the delayed matched to position (DMTP), but also could retain a transitory memory of the sample position during delay. This indicates that a touch-screen system can provide a DMTP testing platform to assess working memory in the mouse.

ABSTRACT

Plateau environment has a wide range of diurnal temperatures and thin air. The surgical shelter needs to resist the huge temperature shock and work in harsh environments, placing higher noise immunity requirements on the microenvironment temperature control system. The traditional microenvironment control of surgical treatment shelters mostly use instrument display and switch control, with a high failure rate and functional dispersion. We have designed a plateau microenvironment temperature control system with PLC as the control center and the touch screen as the Human Machine Interface so that real-time monitoring and control of temperature is achieved and the plateau temperature shock is resisted while the heater fuel ratio can be adjusted properly to adapt to plateau environment. This paper describes the control system hardware, software and algorithm design in detail.

ABSTRACT

In this paper, the hardware and software designs of a portable CPR device are introduced. The system, with a DSP chip and a single chip microcomputer composing the control system, can perform CPR and monitoring at the same time. This paper expatiates on such contents as the signal acquisition and process, the drive of the touch screen, closed cardiac massage and the control of the respiration part.
