ABSTRACT

Digital intelligent diagnostic and treatment technology is a novel technology which is based by combining modern medicine with digitalized and intelligent high-tech to form a multidisciplinary and multi-knowledge domain. This technology plays an important role in areas including precision diagnosis, preoperative planning and surgical navigation. Its core technologies are: (1) quality control research on high-quality CT imaging data acquisition; (2) quality control and homogenization research on three-dimensional (3D) reconstruction; (3) high-quality 3D printed physical models; (4) virtual reality 3D simulation platform; (5) molecular fluorescence imaging to define tumor boundaries; (6) non-rigid registration multi-mode image fusion surgical navigation system; (7) image feature extraction and prediction model establishment. The workflow of this system includes: First, CT data acquisition and 3D visualization of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases; followed by individualized vascular assessment, liver volume calculation and surgical planning using the 3D model; then virtual simulation surgery, 3D printing, virtual reality technology and molecular fluorescence imaging accordance to the required specific conditions. Preoperative radiomics are used to predict the risk of complications and long-term follow-up results. Intraoperative multi-modal fusion image navigation and its consistency are evaluated with the findings in actual surgery and preoperative planning. This technology, hopefully, will bring in novel strategies and approaches in the diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases.

ABSTRACT

With the development of the times, a series of innovative intelligent diagnosis and treatment techniques have emerged, providing new strategies and means for disease diagnosis and treatment, which is helpful for promoting the development of general surgery in China. This article, combined with relevant literature at home and abroad, reviews the application of digital medical intelligent diagnosis and treatment technologies in general surgery,such as three-dimensional visualization,three-dimentional printing, mixed reality, molecular fluorescence imaging, artificial intelligence-imaging omics, abdominal surgery navigation and photoacoustic imaging. Three-dimentional visualization has changed the traditional "two-dimensional" disease diagnosis and treatment mode; three-dimentional printing of three-dimentional images is a leap-forward transition to stereoscopic physical models; mixed reality has broken the boundary between the digital virtual world and the physical real world, bringing technological innovation to traditional surgery; Indocyanine green molecular fluorescence imaging has achieved tumor boundary definition, micro or metastatic lesion detection and intraoperative real-time navigation at the molecular and cellular level; artificial intelligence-imaging omics can improve the accuracy of disease diagnosis and predict risk and efficacy; abdominal surgical navigation can improve the accuracy and safety of the operation; high precision-cross-scale photoacoustic microscopy can define the tumor boundary from the molecular, cellular and microvascular levels to guide the precise resection of the tumor; finally, this paper looks forward to the new direction of general surgery diagnosis and treatment represented by digital medicine and artificial intelligence.

ABSTRACT

Recently, exosome has gained great attention in the field of biomedical research, especially in precision medicine-related diagnostic technology and clinical transformation of therapeutic strategies. There have been a large number of exosome-related studies involving non-invasive diagnosis of diseases, liquid biopsy of tumor, development of precision drugs and observation of clinical efficacy. Exosomes possess four biological characteristics: stable, trackable, active and real-time, which make them the key factors for the next generation “STAR” of translational medicine. Since 2014 exosomerelated studies began to show an explosive increase, and several exosome-associated patent technologies or products have appeared. This article summarizes the research history, biological characteristics and clinical exploration of exosomes, and analyzes the prospects of exosome-related technology.

ABSTRACT

To screen and evaluate the TCM in the treatment of bronchial asthma. Methods Retrieved the journals from China National Knowledge Infrastructure, the Vip Database, Wanfang Data and the Chinese Biomedical Literature Database (Sino Med) . The time limitation ran from January 1, 1987 to December 31, 2016. Extracted the indicators of the assessment based on the evaluating and screening system of country feasible TCM technology. Results a total of 150 treatment techniques were screened.They mostly were Chinese compound formula or point-application therapy. The score was between 24.857 and 34.304. Application of evaluating and screening system of country feasible TCM technology can screen and evaluate the feasible technologiesin the treatment of remission phase of bronchial asthma.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of stroke patients received rehabilitation treatment at different medical units in the Rehabilitation Medical Association.Method:Totally 183 stroke patients were recruited from October 12,2012 to February 5,2016 by Shenzhen Rehabilitation Medical Association(SRMA).SRMA consists of 4 members,including the Second People's Hospital of Shenzhen,Shenzhen Nan'ao People's Hospital,Shenzhen Baoxing Hospital and Community Healthcare Center in Futian District,which belong to tertiary hospital,secondary hospital,and primary healthcare unit,respectively.According to the time of onset of stroke,all the patients were divided into recovery phase or sequelae phase.The rehabilitation facilities were standardized.All patients received rehabilitation treatment for 4 weeks,which included functional rehabilitation training of limb,functional electrical stimulation training,activities of daily living training.Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA),balance subscale of the Fugl-Meyer test(FMB),National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) and modified Barthel Index(MBI) before and after rehabilitation treatment were used to evaluate the effects.Result:The scores of FMA,FMB,NIHSS and MBI were significantly improved in all the groups after rehabilitation treatment(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in all assessments among the groups(P> 0.05).Conclusion:Based on the standardized rehabilitation treatment programs,the stroke patients come from the members of Rehabilitation Medical Association can achieve homogeneous effects after rehabilitation treatment.

[Objective]Exploring innovation in TCM diagnosis and treatment in Zhejiang before modern time,to provide reference for current TCM skil s' heritage and development in Zhejiang.[Method]Using literature research methods, the author sorts out the pre-modern Zhejiang Chinese medicine works. By analyzing and contrasting, the author finds innovative knowledge and information. [Result]Before modern times, the creative technology of TCM diag-nosis and treatment in Zhejiang was characterized with early start, long maintenance and wide range, moreover, in the clinical sections of internal medicine, gynecology, paediatrics, orthopaedics and rhinology, the new theory and new technology continual y came into being on treating rules, methods and diag-nosis. Therefore, it promoted the diagnosis and treatment levels in the whole. [Conclusion] Before the modern times, the creation of Zhejiang diagnosis and treatment technology originated from many doctors ’medical practices; the various diseases sourced from Zhejiang unique geographical and climatic environment offered good stage for generations of doctors to distinguish themselves; and the developed society and material civilization in Zhejiang area provided strong guarantee for Zhejiang doctors to find and invent new diagnosis and treatment technology.
