ABSTRACT

The foundation of the university lies in the cultivation of virtue and people. The construction of the ideological and political work system in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) colleges and universities embodies the Marxist on the theory of all-sided development of human beings, the concept and practical requirements of "three-wide education", and the special laws of the ideological and political work in TCM colleges and universities. It is the realistic need to carry out the strategy of cultivating good quality, to innovate and develop the system of ideological and political work, and to improve the quality of TCM personnel training. TCM Colleges and universities should dig deeply into the ideological and political elements of TCM resources, integrate "virtue establishment and people cultivation" into the whole process of talent training, actively explore new ideas, new ways and new methods of constructing the ideological and political work system of TCM colleges and universities, and strive to cultivate high-quality TCM talents who shoulder the task of national rejuvenation.

ABSTRACT

Ergonomic exposure is one of the important causes of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs). Accurate measurement and evaluation of ergonomic exposure level and implementation of ergonomic intervention are of great significance to the prevention and control of WMSDs. Ergonomic exposure can be divided into external exposure and internal exposure, and its evaluation methods include subjective judgment method, systematic observation method, and direct measurement method. This paper summarized the internal exposure assessment methods based on musculoskeletal dynamics and biomarkers, introduced the overall design concept of ergonomic exposure assessment system, used the Ergonomic Assessment Worksheet (EAWS) as an example, and discussed the development trend of automation, intelligence, and compounding of ergonomic exposure assessment methods and the factors considered in the selection of ergonomic exposure assessment methods.

ABSTRACT

Abstract This article reports the partial results of a research that was aimed at understanding the meanings of free time attributed by offshore workers in their daily work. The qualitative approach was adopted for the research, which was carried out based on comprehensive interviews conducted with workers of Bacia de Campos (a coastal sedimentary basin of the Northern region of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). Two major aspects were analyzed: the time there, referring to the lives of workers while on board of offshore oil platforms and the time here, referring to their lives while on land. Substantial elements of the daily life of workers during their time on the platform and the temporal relationships established in their daily work were discussed. It was concluded that the temporal experiences of offshore workers are based on production, whereas free time means rest period and time to recover from the efforts and restore energy to continue the work.

ABSTRACT

The fire broke out in the cold storage warehouse in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, Korea on January 7th, 2008 and forty workers were died from the fire. Dental identification was carried out to the 25 victims among the 40 ones. The five remains were identified through dental approaches. The public ignorance about the importance of forensic odontology and the difficulty procuring antemortem dental records from the families of the victims were kind of hardships to use the victim's previous dental information. The availability of antemortem data was 12.5%. The public realization about the importance of dental identification and building-up an appropriate co-work system between relevant organizations are required to collect antemortem data more efficiently without wasting time.
