ABSTRACT

Objective: To evaluate the effect of postoperative chemotherapy on bone density change in the patients with breast cancer and the therapeutic effect of 99 TC-MDP.Methods: Totally 58 breast cancer patients with postoperative chemotherapy were se-lected, and the changes of bone density , blood calcium element (BGP), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and 24 h urinary calcium levels were observed .After the chemotherapy , the osteoporosis patients were divided into the control group and the observation group , and the control group was given calcium carbonate D 3, while the observation group was given calcium carbonate D 3 combined with 99 TC-MDP. The bone density , BGP, ALP and 24 h urinary calcium levels were compared between the two groups .Results:After the chemothera-py, the bone mineral density of lumbar vertebra and thighbone was decreased significantly , BGP, ALP and 24 h urine Ca were in-creased significantly, and compared with those before the treatment , the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After the 3-course postoperative chemotherapy , the incidence of osteoporosis was 22.4%(13/58), and after the six-course chemotherapy, the incidence of osteoporosis was 39.7%(23/58).The bone mineral density of lumbar vertebra and thighbone in the observation group was increased significantly , BGP, ALP and 24 h urine Ca were decreased significantly , and compared with those in the control group , the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion: Postoperative chemotherapy for breast cancer can lead to reduced bone density , and 99 TC-MDP in the treatment of osteoporosis induced by breast cancer postoperative chemotherapy is safe and effective .

ABSTRACT

Objective:To evaluate the clinical value of radioactive nuclide strontium chloride (89SrCl2) combined with 99Tc-MDP in treating patients with breast cancer and osseous metastasis. Methods:A total of 80 patients with breast cancer and experiencing bone pain from osseous metastasis were randomly categorized into three groups. 22 patients were treated with 99Tc-MDP (99Tc-MDP group), 30 were treated with 89SrCl2 (89SrCl2 group), and 28 were treated with the combination therapy of 89SrCl2 and 99Tc-MDP (combination group). The analgesic effect, remission of bone metastases, and quality of life of patients in the three groups were observed before and after treatment. Side effect was also monitored. Results:In the combination group, the overall pain relief rate and the increase rate of life quality score were 92.9%(26/28) and 78.6%(22/28), respectively. The combination group was statistically significantly different from the two single-treatment groups (P0.05). Conclusion:The treatment of 89SrCl2 com-bined with 99Tc-MDP can increase the analgesic effect and significantly improve the curative effect without overt side effects in patients with breast cancer and bone metastasis.

ABSTRACT

@#ObjectiveTo observe the effect of 99Tc-methylene diphosphate (99Tc-MDP, Yunke) combined with rehabilitation on ankylosing spondylitis (AS).Methods118 AS patients were randomly divided into the treatment group (n=58) and control group (n=60). The treatment group was treated with meloxicam, sulfasalazine and vein injecting Yunke combined rehabilitation. The control group was treated only with meloxicam and sulfasalazine. The changes of both clinical and experimental indexes of two groups before and after treatment were analyzed.ResultsAfter two therapeutic courses, a much better result was obtained in the treatment group compared with the control group at the respects of releasing arthralgia, shortening morning stiffness, improving range of spinal motion, and decreasing the levels of ESR, CRP, PLT and IgM, ect (P<0.05~0.01) without obvious side effects.ConclusionThe effect of Yunke combined with rehabilitation on AS is evident.

ABSTRACT

AIM: To comparatively analyze the pain related factors levels and therapeutic response in patients treated with ~(99)Tc-MDP and ~(153)Sm-EDTMP for painful skeletal metastases. METHODS: Plasma endothelin (ET), calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), thromboxane B_2 (TXB_2) and 6-keto-prostaglandin F_ 1? (6-k-PGF_ 1? ) levels were analyzed in 93 patients with painful skeletal metastases prior and 3 months after treatment. 55 cases were just treated with 153 Sm-EDTMP (group A); 19 cases were treated only with 99 Tc-MDP (group B); and 19 cases were treated with both 153 Sm-EDTMP and 99 Tc -MDP (group C). RESULTS: 69.1 %, 73.7 % and 89.5 % of the patients were experienced pain relief 3 months after treatment in groups A, B and C, respectively. Comparative analysis shows that: ET and 6-k-PGF_ 1? levels increased significantly 3 months after treatment in all patients (P
